I started seeing Dr. Georges about 1993 and was a patient for over 15 years. Aside from the total professionalism and 5 star dentistry the staff provide, they are a very entertaining bunch and it’s really a joy to go there. I had to change dentists for a variety of reasons not having to do with any dissatisfaction, and I miss Dr. Georges.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Jeffrey Georges for years. Things had always gone well between us. I loved the two hygienists he’s employed over the years. His current dental assistant(who I think has been helping out as the current receptionist), is really nice too. However, something odd happened a while ago which I should’ve taken as foreshadowing of what this dentist is capable of! I had randomly received a letter from him stating that a certain insurance company(not mine, so I’m not sure why I got this letter) had dropped him from network(I think it was an insurance company… either that or a dental association, I can’t quite remember). I hadn’t heard anything else prior to this so it was really out of the blue. In the letter, he had also made some off-color remarks that didn’t seem professional to me. The whole thing was like a he-said she-said situation but since it didn’t affect my coverage, I didn’t think too much about it. So last week when I scheduled a cleaning, I also had a complaint about mild pain in one of my teeth. The receptionist said there was nothing in my records about that area being problematic but she’d schedule extra time for the dentist to check it out. «I would plan for 1.5 hours» she said. Awesome! Unfortunately, I found out the Friday before my Monday 2pm appointment that I wouldn’t be able to make it(meeting at work that I completely forgot about). The earliest I could contact them was first thing Monday morning since they’re closed on Fridays. So I called at 7:30AM and an already-grumpy sounding Jeffrey Georges answered. I explained the situation to him and his crankiness turned into anger. «Is there any way I could reschedule?» «FINE» he barks at me. Click. «Hello? Helllloooo?» I’m thinking, did he just hang up on me? Oh no, wait, he’s back. Thanks for not telling me he’s putting me on hold. Oh, he sounds even more angry. He kept saying that it was a two hour appointment which I was confused about because 1– I was told 1.5 hours and 2– the cleaning would’ve been with the hygienist, not the dentist anyways. «WHENCANYOUCOMEINTHEN» he barks again. At this point I was so stunned with his embarrassing attitude that I abruptly told him«I’ll just call you guys back later.» «FINE.» Click. Seriously? I’ve never been a no-show, I’ve never had a same-day cancellation, and I’ve always called if I’m running behind(and they were always totally cool about that, though I’ve never been more than 10 minutes late). I accept fault for this same-day cancellation but that does NOT justify the fact that this dentist demonstrated such a lack of maturity that he couldn’t set aside whatever made him cranky BEFORE my call, and let that bitterness bleed over into our call. There IS a way to maintain professionalism during conflict but he did not show it. My perspective of him has changed and I do not foresee ever feeling comfortable enough to let him work on my teeth again. What if you had an appointment with him right after he had a bad commute coming into work? Or what if you were the first afternoon appointment after he had a bad lunch? Do you really want a cranky, angry person working on your teeth? My bottom line is that as much as I really like and appreciate his staff, and the work he’s done for me previously, this experience has been so shocking to me that he’s betrayed my trust and confidence in him. I guess all the other times, I happened to catch him in a good mood.

I have been going to Dr Georges for a long time now. They are very good, friendly and very helpful. I am not good with needles etc and that goes double for drills in my mouth I am sure its something to do with seeing the Marathon Man way too young. Anyway they are incredibly kind and gentle when it comes to cleaning and explaining what is happening. I would recommend whole heartedly.

Small private practice… went there for many many years. My current insurance only covers 1 dentist now that isn’t so great so far(hoping that will change). Dr. Georges and his receptionist are great. He’s very entertaining for a dentist and will spend time to explain stuff, and they can usually schedule you very quickly. He does remarkable work. Highly highly recommend.
