Lash On Wax Off

Rachel is the BEST not only in this town, but ANY town. Ok. I might not be able to attest to the skills of every lash lady in all the towns, but what I can say is that my lashes get complemented every where I go and all day long at my bartending gig. Everyone wants to know who does my lashes, and lucky you — now you know! Oh. And P. S. She’s a great conversationalist so you’re entertained as well as beautified!

I hesitate to write this review because I’d almost rather keep her a secret. Once the word gets out how amazing Rachel is at doing lashes, I’ll have to wait months just to get an appointment. Yes, she is THAT good! I have had my lashes done for the past 3 years and there are very few lash places in Seattle that I haven’t tried (I’m a teensy bit picky and if they don’t look amazing, I don’t go back). There are plenty of places that do a decent job (there are also quite a few who don’t even do that). And there are even a few places that do a great job. But NONE of them are as good as Rachel. She is THE BEST. Period. It’s not even a contest. And I know what you’re thinking, «if she’s that good, she must be expensive.» Wrong. She pretty much has the best prices around. So, to all of you who take my advice and go see her… you’re welcome.

I went to Rachel for my first experience with lash extensions. I didn’t know what to expect, but 2 hours of calm later I was delighted with the results! And I got a moderate set as to not shock myself. I feel confident that with Rachel’s tips, I’ll manage to keep them in good shape until my fill.

I had had lash extensions prior to seeing Rachel, and when I went for my third refill, they had cancelled my appointment without telling me. Time for a new gal, right?
I found Rachel because my fiancé who works in fine dining decided to do some market research for me. After scoping out lash extensions for a week, he finally asked his co-​worker (winner of the most beautiful eyelash award) where she goes for her extensions.
She sent me to Rachel in Fremont. I have not been disappointed. In fact, she has exceeded my expectations because of her awesome attitude, easy location and reasonable pricing.

Rachel does such an amazing job with my lashes. She understand exactly what I was looking for when I asked for a «natural look». I’ve gotten so many compliments on my lashes. People even stared at me and asked if there were real! Highly recommended!

Rachel does a great job and is super pleasant. I appreciate that she takes the time to ask if there is anything I want to do differently at the start of each appointment. I found her when looking for a trained Xtreme lash technician and have not been disappointed.
Her dog is super cute, too.

Rachel is so wonderful! I love my lashes. She is always so accommodating. I get compliments almost daily on how beautiful my lashes are. I feel guilty for not tell people they are fake or that I have extensions ;).

My first Unilocal review and it’s for one of my favs! Rachel is great at what she does. With the popularity of lashes growing, I look around at other women with lashes and I am so happy I found her. I constantly get compliments from people about my lashes. I even get people asking if they are real because they look so good. Go see Rachel, I promise you won’t regret it!

It really makes me wonder how «great» a business/​service can be without prompt communication. Both my friend and I called (between us both 7) times over the last 4 days to schedule an appointment with Rachel. We’re both still awaiting a return call. Can either of us attest to her skills? Um no, and given the lack of communication, we won’t be. Communication in the service industry is key. Maybe Ms. Rachel doesn’t need the additional business, which is fine. There are other exceptional places out there that we will gladly take our $$$.

So you know how you read about how lash extensions are addicting, and you wonder, can that be true? It is. This was my 1^st time getting lashes done by Rachel and my second time trying extensions. Rachel is by far superior. The first time I had them done, my eyes felt heavy, they looked a little too fake and they broke my real lashes. I never got them filled.
Recently, I was going on vacation, and I also wanted to try them again. A friend of mine gets them done, and she swears by them. So after looking all over Unilocal and specifically the pictures, I thought I’d try Lash On Wax Off. I have pretty long lashes, but they don’t like to stay curled, so I wanted my lashes to be fuller and stand out, but not look too fake. Rachel nailed it.
People could tell there was a difference, but they weren’t sure what. I had a previously scheduled eyebrow appointment for the next day, and the woman commented on what beautiful lashes I had. She had no idea they were fake. I had to admit that they were. She said it was one of the better jobs she has seen.
After 3 weeks, I still have quite a bit of lashes, and my eyes aren’t bothering me. This was after being in Hawaii for over a week and getting them wet with salt water and chlorine. Granted, I tried to limit it as much as possible, they have really lasted. I felt that I hardly had to wear eye makeup either. I’ve convinced myself that I deserve to at least get them filled once, and I am going in this week! They are an expensive treat, but I also try to weigh all the money I am saving by not wearing a lot of makeup.

What can I say Rachel is the most amazing and the BEST in the business. She is the most caring person I’ve ever met. She really cares a lot about her clients. Her personally is so good that you want to go see her even when you don’t need anything done. When Rachel is done with you leave feeling so beautiful. She also is a very beautiful person with a amazing smile. And I can’t forget Winnie her little dog which is the cutest little dog in Seattle.

I can’t say enough good things about Rachel.
She is not only a skilled and consummate professional, she is so sweet and personable as well! She has built her business through word of mouth alone! That says everything to me. I have been going for many months. I tried to kick the lash habit but I, too, am addicted. They are just soooo pretty and natural. People will kind of stare at you and they don’t even know why… but, that’s our little secret, right? Just you, me and Rachel!

Rachel is absoultely amazing!!! I lost all my lashes and part of my eye brow in a fight with my gas stove a couple years back and immediatley sought out someone to help me. She did a great job making me look good for my up coming wedding and I’ve since continued to go to her becasue I can’t give it up!!! She makes my lashes look so full and beautiful and no one ever asks me «are you wearing fake lashes?» they only say «dear god you have long gorgeous lashes!»…ALL thanks to Rachel!!!
Her studio is right in the heart of Fremont and there is usually free 1 or 2 hour parking very near by. She can always get me in when I need to for a fill or for a touch up when I have an event to attend.

Rachel is awesome! She’s professional and caring — making our experience comfortable and your lashes last. Addicted and done with mascara!

Before I experienced what lash extensions looked like, I always thought of them as very noticeable and a little too drastic. Rachel definitely proved me wrong. Not only does she make the lashes look natural and perfectly placed, but she makes the experience comfortable and relaxing. She doesn’t just do the work, but cares about her clients and always keeps the conversation flowing. The lashes are as natural looking as if you put on those endless layers of mascara. It is truly magic! As someone who doesn’t have a lot of time to do my makeup, it is amazing to wake up and have my lashes look full and long with no effort at all!
As for the facility itself, Rachel keeps it cozy and inviting. With a window looking out into the city, she creates a peaceful environment with music, a warm bed and a comfortable pillow. But most importantly, it is super easy to find. I always get lost in Seattle, and the location, in the SPACE building, is just a couple turns off the freeway and two hour free parking all around.
All in all, if you are sick of trying to find that perfect mascara that fits all your needs and desires, I highly recommend giving Lash on Wax Off a try. You will leave looking fabulous and never wanting to buy mascara again! Thank you so much Rachel for proving me wrong and showing me what I’ve been missing!

Rachel does such an amazing job… I’d never had eyelash extensions before and was nervous about getting it done. She made me super comfortable and put me at ease through the whole process. In the blink of an eye (sorry, I can’t ever resist a good pun) it was over and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results!
Let’s talk about these lashes… they. are. freakin. gorgeous! I got them before I went on a cruise, because I didn’t want to worry about wearing makeup. They were absolutely perfect! Glamorous, but still not «too much.» I was able to pull off wearing them at my office job, then swipe on a little eye liner for a more dramatic look for night. Love!
She’s way more affordable than most other places I looked into, and I have never seen a more beautiful result on girls who’ve gone to anyone else. I can’t wait to get mine done again… I’ll never go back to mascara!!!

This girl will rock your lashes like nobody’s business. The amount of diligence and care she puts into applying lash extensions is unrivaled and it shows. I have seen other lash stylists and no one can come close to the quality of Rachel’s work. Her sets and fills always outlast my expectations. Everyone is always asking about my lashes, seemingly shocked when I tell them they’re extensions cause they look so. damn. good. girl.
What really sets Rachel apart from the overflowing amount of lash stylists in Seattle is that she is a certified Xtreme lash stylist. Xtreme lashes are of the highest quality and requires a significant amount of education, training, and testing. Certification is a rigorous process so I appreciate and trust my lashes in Rachel’s care. It’s your eyes after all!
Her digs are cute, cozy, and super easy to find. Located in the SPACE building right across from the Lenon statue. There’s free two hour parking all around too! What are you waiting for? Tell her I sent you!

I have been getting my eyelashes done for nearly 1.5 years and I’m addicted. My initial lashes were done by Rachel and would see her religiously (every 3 weeks) to get my fill for nearly a year. I left Seattle to move back down to San Diego and I wanted to take Rachel with me. I literally have asked her to move down multiple times as the thought of someone else doing my lashes is disheartening!
Needless to say, I had to continue my addiction to lashes when I moved back to Cali. I have gone to 2 salons and I have not been able to replicate the look that Rachel was able to give me with my lashes. I would definitely fly to Seattle every 3 weeks to get my eyelashes done by Rachel if my budget allowed.
I have never received more compliments about my eyelashes when Rachel was doing my lashes. They were full and glamorous yet still looked natural. I would receive at least 2 – 3 compliments a week and I’m not exaggerating.
Rachel is quick and efficient. She definitely knows what she is doing. I have never had any complications and my lashes would last the duration until my next appointment. I highly recommend Rachel to everyone in the Seattle/​Tacoma area! She’s the best!

i went to Rachel several times last year until I found that she had left the place I was going to. I wanted to cry but I didn’t want to damage my lashes…
After trying to find her and at times appearing stalker-​ish, I finally did find her! Rachel owns her own place now in a super COOL part of Fremont. You head to the 2^nd floor of the building and she has the cutest place with everything a Lash Diva could need to make sure she is Fluttery Gorgeous! I live in Bellevue and I drive to go see Rachel at her new place — it’s worth the 18 minutes it takes to get there…
A full set is about 120 lashes — which is what I get and I can tell you it makes your eyes just pop (in a good way). I also know she does partial sets and funky things color lashes and crystals. Rachel takes her time and puts in A LOT of lashes in a short amount of time and you get a really thick and even set of lashes. When Rachel first did my lashes, I batted my eyes at everyone: Gas attendant, grocery bag boy and my Starbucks barista — and she was a girl!
Rachel’s work is amazing and quick. The first time she did my lashes it was about an hour and a half long and each fill has taken an hour or less. Also, I’ve had previous folks do my lashes and I can tell you that Rachel’s lashes STAY. Of course, I baby the things, but hers seem to have long lasting flutter power which stays for at least 3 weeks.
Now the best part is Rachel’s pricing — I got a package deal of fills which makes each fill something like $ 59 each which is a total bargain. I asked her if she would give any special pricing for Unilocalers and she told me that she would give $ 100 full sets to any Unilocalers that call her and tell her they saw this on Unilocal — but it’s for a limited time only!
