Oscar and his team are the best. As professional as it gets. Flooring America replaced my carpet and wooden floor with a brand new wooden floor as well as a new tiles around the fireplace. I couldn’t be happier. From the professional advice, to availability regarding questions at any time, their flexibility to make things work on the client’s schedule, the on-​time daily arrivals, the top notch install teams of Nicolas crew (floors) and Ricardo/​James crew (fireplace tiles), the attention to detail, and the professional and service oriented attitude of every team member, things couldn’t be better. I am very displeased with this company First day he brought two men that reported to me that this was their first time in working with Oscar and they drove a great distance away from where they live to this location, and that they were worried about getting paid because they were undocumented! This was worrisome as a home owner we could be liable for any injuries they might have had. 1. Why would Oscar use men he had never used before? They did not smooth out the floor where old thin set was loose and cracking, nor did they have a shop vacuum and used OUR personal house broom for their construction debris. 2. Why weren’t these guys prepared for the job. They knew they were coming to install tile. Originally when speaking with Oscar Sepulveda and gave him a deposit for the job, he stated that he would be there to oversee every aspect of the job to ensure that we were happy. Let me tell you people, that is Oscar’s salesman slogan and it couldn’t be far from the truth. His crew laid out the tile not only crooked in areas but with large chips, and the tile was in the wrong design pattern which we had drawn for Oscar in his office to ensure this is what we were requesting. Upon coming downstairs half on the dining room and living room were already halfway complete with the incorrect pattern. When we called Oscar and reported such a screw up in what should have been avoided if Oscar did in fact oversee the position he blamed it on me, «where were you? You should have seen they were doing wrong?» Frankly, we are the customers and I am not a supervisor-​although he is a true salesman, he promised that he would oversee the entire aspect of the job– then When we noticed it was the wrong pattern Oscar stated that if we start over again we it will take much longer and he will make it up to us for the oversight. Because we have had our belongings in storage we needed the floors completed in a reasonable time. Now it’s been over a year of no shows, late crew to include Oscar showing up and his crew whom were borrowed from another business they had applied the thin set on only part if the tile in order to prevent from purchasing more. His crew even used our materials without permission and towels for clean up. Majic, the owner of the business said he would reimburse us for the material used and for the destruction of our towels! How this company stays in business is beyond me. And when we brought the mistakes up to Oscar he would repeatedly say, «lets move pass this.» How exactly can we move pass this if he doesn’t correct the mistakes. Not to mention his crew would mix the thin set two hours before they cut pieces and were ready to apply. Literally, tile would pop up with no residue of thin set on the tile that was installed proving my point that the application was incorrect. One day he stated he was going to provide 3 crew members to complete the job but one of the men stated that the third guy drank too much the night before and was sleeping it off in the work truck. When reporting this to Oscar, he dismissed it. And now almost a year later we are have chipped tile because his crew stated that they did not have the correct blade. Because Oscar was also installing cabinets for us as well as baseboards to name a few, we were without a kitchen and living for almost a year with t-​pot plugged into the upstairs bathroom. Oscar stated that the cabinet guys would be bringing our cabinetry only to find poor craftsmanship and different shades of white, on the doors, so they had to be sent back. Oscar then went with a different company and months later they arrived and this time Majic/​owner arrived and when I observed numerous doors with glue drippings, gouges, and poor craftsmanship-​again they had to be returned. But not before the crew members were assembling the drawers with glue and only his hand pressure to bring them together. How cheap of quality were they trying to pass onto us yet again. At least Majic agreed that there were mistakes on the cabinet and not try to excuse the mistakes as Oscar did every time we showed him a mistake. This company is horrible!!! We are still with chipped tiles and stained grout that Oscar says is from dog urine, until I proved otherwise. The whole purpose of wanting tile is because we are dog lovers and dogs make mistakes and we wanted easy clean up– but Oscar attempt at shaming us is a poor excuse for poor workmanship. The grout has black stains within the grout– and this isn’t acceptable. Majic gave us a ten year guarantee due to the lack of grout that was used and tile popping off. I would much rather have a professional application of my flooring instead of Oscar offering us a $ 1,000.00 to walk away and not complete the work as it’s costing him too much to fix the mistakes. Beware of this company whom apparently is without good ethics. We want what we have agreed on and prepared to work with them hopefully they will do the right thing. I will keep you posted!

Again… I’m going back to this store for flooring because of their qualities and hospitality. Besides great flooring selections, pricing… this time they offer me 12 months payments with no interest. Thank you Majic and Oscar ! Everything is perfect as always. Job well done

Martin and the folks at Flooring America are top notch. I could not recommend them more highly. I don’t typically write reviews for contractors we hire, because honestly, there is usually something that isn’t 100% right or is left undone. But in this case, as another reviewer said, from start to finish… it was fantastic. I think this must be their motto.
We had severe water damage and a hefty insurance claim. Martin helped walk us through all of it, including moving us out of our downstairs, storage of our belongings, and cleaning the house from top to bottom once the job was done.
We chose to switch out our wood floors for porcelain tile that looks like wood. Boy, was that the greatest decision ever, because half a year later, another pipe broke and we had to pull up a portion of the brand new floor. Martin and his crew came to fix it for us and did so very reasonably, because this time it was coming out of our own pockets.
Martin is available to you almost 24/​7, which makes me feel bad saying, because we bugged him at all hours, but he truly lives to serve his customers. He wants you to be happy.
You can’t go wrong here. Best customer service. Best quality product. Best install.

From start to finish, Flooring America was fantastic. They finished the job on Saturday and a day later I had a referral for them. Martin was amazing, patient with all my questions, knowledgable and eager to address all my concerns. The floors are spectacular and Martin helped me every step of the way. Also, Majic was helpful and made a special trip out to my home to help me decide what color and finish to use after I had changed my mind 15 times. Isidro and Angel who did the sanding and finishing were true professionals, They worked quickly and efficiently, covering everything up with plastic so it would keep the place as clean as possible. They made sure everything was in place before leaving. They also answered all my many questions. I had water damage and because of that, my insurance company covered a large portion of the project. I would not have thought to ask the insurance company and it was actually Martin that mentioned that this water damage needed to be checked out before any job was started. That was a very wise suggestion on his part because the floors needed to be dried before the project started. I highly recommend this company.

I am so happy with my floors. I recently bought a condo in Sherman Oaks and had all the flooring replaced with laminate and it looks absolutely fantastic. Oscar was extremely helpful and accommodating and was willing to go the extra mile to ease my stress of moving into a new home and living through remodeling.

We had a fantastic experience with a repair requiring matching the stain in our kitchen due to a deep scratch. Isidro was prompt, polite and fast. Left after sanding and staining without any trace of the transaction. Not only that but he is s master craftsman– the matching was perfect. You cannot tell that the floor has been patched. Great job!

I just bought a new house and moved to Reseda. Majic was totally accommodating, met me at the house before escrow had closed to take the measurements so that all the work could be done before I moved in. Scheduling was easy and they even finished ahead of time.
The hardwood floors are stunning! All of my friends and family who have seen the new floors agree. Part of the installation included removing the old tile floor; that process loosened some tiles in the kitchen and bathroom floors and Majic called me and told me about them and made arrangements to re-​set the tiles that were loose. Every time I called the store the people were polite and professional. I will definitely go back to this company for future flooring needs.

Oscar is very attentive and easy to work with. His guys are fantastic and got the project done beautifully. As soon as I figure out how to add photos I will.

After searching for months for hardwood flooring that fit within my budget, and matched my existing floor, I stopped in to Flooring America on a whim. Martin was so helpful and eager to educate me on hard wood and helped me find something perfect. Oscar came by and gave a free estimate and even suggested ways I could cut the cost. They started the job a week later and ²⁄₁₂ days later I had beautiful hard wood on my stairs and bedrooms. His crew was respectful, professional and left my place looking immaculate. My experience with Fashion Carpet was excellent from beginning to end.
They came to my home *free of charge* to measure for new carpeting and also had an ample supply of samples to choose from.
The installation was a dream. Many pieces of very large furniture had to be moved, nothing was damaged and all returned exactly where they were before the job.
The price was below Home Depot and was further reduced by a $ 100.00 coupon available on their website.

If I could give negative stars I would. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPE!
Here is the story. I needed off white carpet and vinyle kitchen floor (which I specified by model number) for a house I was remodeling and had a budge of $ 5,000. I obtained a few quotes. Oscar of Fashion Carpet gave me a quote for the carpet of $ 2,800 and vinyle of $ 2400 for a total of $ 5,200. I acdepted the quote becasue it was the cheapset of the 3 that I had received. I went to their store to pay a deposit. Oscard’s boss showed me a sample board and I picked Ivory carpet.
They installed the vinyle and it went fine. The carpet installers did not show up on time. I waited an hour and still no show. So I had to leave for another job. When I returned that afternoon, I noticed that they are in the process of finishing but the color was beige and not off white. I called Oscar and he said he would come to see it and suggested that I go to his store and pick up the sample board and have it at the house. I was disappointed as this was his job and not mine. Anyway I did it. He came to the house and insisted that the beige color was actually off white. I was shocked.
Becasue I did not agree, he invited me to the store and they agreed that the color was off. IT turned out the the carpet they provided was a peice they had in their stock and is discontinued. They did not have the Ivory so substituted the color without my approval. This was the only way they could offer the low price. I was angry.
Then they offered to replace it if I paid another $ 1,200. I was about to agree but even then they wanted to play games. I had enough and asked them to come and get their carpet the same day. They sent their people and removed the carpet.
In searching for a replacement carpet I discovered that they over charged me for the vinyle also. My kitchen is only 47 sqyd but they charged me for 55. I got an esitmate from another flooring company next door without even barganing and their estimate was under $ 1,700 which is $ 700 cheaper for the same floor. My blood is boiling now. So I had already paid $ 1,500 deposit and offered to pay them another $ 200 which is the fair market value. Instead of being ashamed that I have found out about thier tricks, they are threatening me to put a lein on my clients house. What a bad group of peope. I have never seen anything like this. Stay away from them becasue what you see is not what you get.

two weeks. hard to contact. i understand now after getting burned why Oscar only wanted cash.$ 1800.00 later the day after they gave the stairs the wrong measurement, we called to fix the problem and are numbers are blocked on their phones. take my advise if you get romanced into doing business with dishonest carpet salesmen use your credit cards who will stand behind you and help you when you get screwed.

As good as it gets!!! The owner Majic is great. Listens to your needs and helps you pick out the carpet that best fits. He will get you as many samples as you need so you can see what the carpet will look like in your house. The installers were absolute perfectionists. They did not miss a thing. In addition they were on time and when finished they cleaned up perfectly. The pricing was fair too. A+++ for Fashion Carpet.

Overall excellent customer service. I was not sure what type of flooring I wanted and they were very patient. I love the end results and my living room looks awesome!

As good as it gets!!! This guys were amazing their staff is so nice and helpful. I called them on a Tuesday they came to my house the same day with several selections of carpets and they were installing the carpet on Thursday of the same week. At first I was afraid it will be stressful to get new carpet in, but Oscar (sales rep) made it happen! it was a one day job, they moved all of my furniture and put it back where it belong. I will STRONGLY recommend Fashion Carpets to any one who is looking for excellent customer service, efficient installers and quality floors!!!

Our condo flooded few weeks ago and the floors needed to be replaced. Insurance recommended Fashion Carpets so we went along with them. The job was to replace about 800 sq ft of engineered hardwood and about 25 sq ft of ceramic tiles in a condo where all the contents had been removed except for the items in the kitchen cabinets. My husband and I were staying very close by at a hotel so everyday we visited our condo daily after they left to see the progress. I wasn’t and still am not very pleased with their work practices. Here’s what I find interesting:
1) The workers felt at liberty to use what they wished in the kitchen cabinets; cups and a knife. The last day, they left them in the sink for me to wash. Annoyed but understandable, I guess.
2) The existing molding was re-​used but they did a terrible job re-​installing them. There is a visible gap between the two layers of wood which they covered with touch up paint. Not too bad until you run your finger through and the paint chips off since they didn’t smooth out the chipped paint before painting over it. Ugly but I can live with it…
3) WORST OFFENSE: There was a small section of the molding that they had forgot to paint. The husband calls the following Tuesday (installation was supposedly finished on Friday and Monday was a holiday) asking to see if we can keep the touch up paint they used since we may encounter more chipping paint as well as cover the section that wasn’t painted. Fashion Carpet insists that they send someone to do the repair same day (Tuesday) at 5pm. 5pm comes and goes with no one showing up, no calls. Then 6:45pm rolls around and we hear the door bell ringing. A guy shows up and he says he’ll be repairing the floor in the kitchen. WHAT??? We asked touch up paint, we had no idea of the lifted wood in the kitchen. He walks over to the kitchen and shows us a section that’s been lifted up. Clearly, they had knowledge of this and they weren’t going to do anything about it unless we called for something else… WRONG WRONG WRONG.

This is an excellent company. There are a number of reasons why they are so good. First, they are on time, give accurate information, and do a really good job on hardwood floors. Second, they work with other vendors to make sure all aspets of the job are completed. Finally then argue with the insurance company on your behalf. In our case State Farm only wanted to cover the immediate area of the water leak. Martin from Fashion Floors convinced the company that not only did all the flooring have to be refinished but they also had to re do all the walls since older wall paper was destroyed and could not be matched.on.
The quality of the work was also excellent. They took the proper care to match the wood, knew how to age it. and sanded it to perfection I would recommend them to anyone
