The best tree trimmers. So much time and detail trimming my lovely tree. I used three other companies and nearly lost the tree once due to a butcher job. Oscar has trimmed the tree three times and always a masterpiece. Really can’t say enough. Reliable, easy to contact, and friendly.

I highly recommend Sherman Oaks Tree Service. Gregg was prompt in coming out to give an estimate and provided me with all of the insurance information without being asked. His crew arrived on time and was very clean, quiet and professional. The trees were beautifully trimmed and the yard was completely cleaned up. I can’t say enough great things.

The Best! The most professional crew of tree experts I’ve ever seen! I’ve used Sherman Oaks Tree Service for the past 5 years and I am always so impressed by their work, prices and professionalism. Greg is great to work with and a very honest person which I value more than anything. Highly recommended!

We had an extremely difficult job — a very dead, 100-​ft. pine tree at the top of a steep hill at the back of our property, which has narrow means of egress. Gregg’s estimate was the best for people willing to do the job (four companies refused). His men were friendly and professional and did the job — and two additional tree trimmings on the property — over the course of four days. They started almost immediately after I accepted their bid. They would rope off each large chunk, cut it, lower it down, cut it into pieces and walk the pieces down to the woodchipper on the street. And, they left me an truckload of firewood and allowed me to pay in installments and with a credit card. They were a bit late with the final paperwork but overall it was a (very difficult) job well done.

Greg was terrific. He came by and gave me an honest assessment that our tree didn’t need trimming. I appreciate his forthrightness.

These guys rock. Called him on on a Sunday one day after Fourth of July they answer the phone and were able to come out 30 minutes later. You have earned my business, from now on whenever I need something done these guys are the one that I’m going to call I truly appreciate it.

Sherman Oaks Tree Service has been consistent over the years. They are very professional and do a great job covering a very large area. They provide brush clearance, tree trimming, and deal with clearing some rough terrain and hard to reach areas. They always do a thorough job. Clean up has never been an issue, they leave the property as they found it. They listen and complete all requests and have always been respectful and returned calls immediately.

He was so easy to work with and was able to start the project immediately. The people he sent to my home to do the job were professional, friendly and respectful. They showed up on time and did a great job.

I do not even want to give them a rating. I had the most horrible experience with them. The workers are very nice, they were just doing what Greg was telling them to do. Greg is the one, to look out for.

I have worked on multiple projects with Sherman Oaks Tree and Greg. I am a repeat customer as his diligence, vast knowledge on Trees and other landscape matters, and responsiveness to calls and texts are unparalleled. Their crew does very good work, pays attention to detail and is diligent in cleaning up residual debris from a job. When i was given a scope for a proposed job, the work was right in line. I will continue to utilize Greg and their Tree and Landscape services whenever a project arises and i would recommend them to ANYONE who would request a referral for a tree or landscape project.

Sherman Oaks Tree Service did an excellent job. Gregg, the owner was very helpful and professional in describing the work to be done, and his company delivered. We have two very tall trees that needed to be cut back, which threatened the structure of our residential property and was a danger to a set of power lines. Problem solved. We will continue using Gregg’s service for the future.

Sherman Oaks Tree Service provided excellent service and workmanship. Our job was large — it was a multiday job to cut down 6 large pine trees (50ft tall each) and a plum tree. The job was difficult as it was in a steep canyon. Gregg spent significant time informing us of our options, and provided a creative solution — to reuse the trunks of the trees as soil retention structures. The job was completed at the quoted price (beating the competition) and in a timely fashion.
We were 100% satisfied with the job, and plan on using Sherman Oaks Tree Service again for tree service.

I’m also somewhat shocked by the negative responses.
I’ve used these guys a number of times for tree trimming and hillside clearance (the house is in the Hollywood hills, so there are scrubby pines, junipers, and other brush that needs to be kept at bay) and I’ve found them to be reliable, prompt, prepared, and spotless.
Access to the steep hillside is very tough, up a flight of stairs, across the backyard, then climb a wall, and this crew worked like champions.
There are probably cheaper guys out there, but the work is well done and professional. Will certainly use again.

Sherman Oaks Tree Service, and particularly Greg Buskett, is a joke. I hate writing negative reviews, I wish I could write a good one. I contacted Greg and asked him for a quote to cut down half of a big out of control ficus at my house. Greg came by my house to look. He looked. He then left. He didn’t knock on the door. He didn’t call me. He didn’t text me. He didn’t leave a quote in my mailbox. He didn’t do anything (which turned out to be a pattern). I texted him. I called him. I emailed him. We went back and forth in voicemail and email tag. Eleven days later I still didn’t have a quote. And to think he bragged about being in business 35 years! I don’t see how. I couldn’t treat my customers that way and still be in business. LOOK ELSEWHERE!

Great, reliable tree service with very fair prices! I have used them for many years to cut multiple palm trees, and other tall trees and bushes. Gregg is honest and kind. I highly recommend this company!

At a commercial building that I manage I needed some trees removed that had grown up from random seed drops and that in another year would be breaking the foundation. I also needed some other nearby trees trimmed back that were actually supposed to be where they were.
Sherman Oaks Tree Service was a referral through my apiarist (beekeeper in English). Gregg came out to meet me quickly, gave me a price and an immediate date that suited the building schedule, showed up with a crew and all the equipment when he said he would, and did a great job. From contacting and meeting Gregg to job scheduling and completion was a quick 4 days.
He asked me did I want the trees chipped, cut for firewood and left, or cut for firewood and donated to a charity in a rural area, which apparently he does a couple of times a year.
Without being asked, he faxed over copies of his certificates of insurance, a copy of his contractors license, and the bid /​invoice. That’s right — he’s properly licensed and insured. On a commercial property I can’t hire the first ESL that walks through my neighborhood tossing business cards on my porch that say ‘tree trimming cheap’, or ‘we clean households good’.
I’m not sure where the bad reviews come from, or if there may have been problems in the past, but based on my experience with Sherman Oaks Tree Service, I feel confident in giving them high marks.
Last point; I normally shop price, but I had an idea of what this should cost from prior jobs I’ve had done with somewhat sketchy companies, and this was in the ballpark of what I was expecting — except without the sketchiness.
