I, like the many who have written their reviews here, are in awe of Marc and his complete dedication and selflessness to bettering the lives of our pets. He genius is otherworldly when it comes to his knowledge and specificity on what your dog/​cat needs for healing (if that is the issue), diet, or just living the best and healthiest life possible. I am forever grateful for having been introduced to this very special man.

Marc Ching is in the top 1% of rare human beings. Dedicated beyond the definition of the word. I’m at a loss thinking of how to write a review based on his laser focus on helping animals. Really, there are no words.
If you have a sick (or healthy pet) that you love like a family member, consult with him and take his nutritional advice. Most likely his approach will be the exact opposite of what your vet will recommend but go with an open mind and see the difference yourself.
He’s an expert on pet food allergies, fungal /​yeast issues, skin problems, GI troubles, diarrhea, etc.
Like me, the other reviewers here are all in awe of this amazing man. The only downside is that there are too many people asking for his help so he is extremely busy and may seem a little hurried or short. Other than that, this place gets the absolute highest marks in my book.

I’d give this place 10 stars if I could. Marc is a great guy who truly cares about dogs and my dogs have been happier, healthier and spoiled since I started coming here. The food is well worth it and this place has helped keep my pets healthy.

Petstaurant is an excellent resource for you and your dog! The owner, Marc, is very knowledgeable and has helped me with both of my small dogs.
He has a great store where you can find kibble, raw foods, treats, etc. Even better, should you purchase a bag of food, for example, and your dog doesn’t like it… You’re able to return it for a refund.
I highly recommend this place!

I read many positive Unilocal reviews, loved the website, and decided I wanted to consult with Marc about issues my dog is having. I wrote him a text on a Sunday morning. He responded less than a minute later. WHAT? We’ve scheduled an appointment for the very next day. Who is this amazing Marc guy? I am so thankful for him.

Marc is a great nutritionist who is totally honest and kind. I am really glad to have heard of him from someone at the dog park. This is a great community service business.

All the other positive reviewers are telling the truth!
Plus, this is one of the few places I’ve found that makes homemade, healthy cat food — most places just do dog food. And my cat loves it! I couldn’t believe it when I saw her eating food with kale and kelp and spirulina in it, but she gobbled it up.

I cannot say enough good things about The PetStaurant and Marc. I met Marc over 2 years ago, about 3 – 4 months after getting a yorkie puppy. I was having trouble finding dog food that she would eat consistently and she was also very itchy. I initially tried Amicus, then Honest Kitchen — and although my dog would eat these brands, she was still itching more than normal. I eventually tried The PetStaurant brand food, that Marc makes — and my girl eats every last drop. She goes back looking for more. This is the best food.
Marc is amazing, he will always answer my crazy dog lady texts — day or night — anytime I’ve had an issue with my pup. He has met with me several times (at no charge) to check her itching, skin issues, etc and always takes his time, and gives several suggestions.
This is a wonderful place! I recommend it to everyone I know with dogs.

Marc is a very special person when it comes to animal care, in particular diet. In our family we have seven dogs; most of them rescue; Jack Russell’s and a Bouvier.
THE BOUVIER — if you have ever owned a Bouvier De Flandres you will understand what it means for a dog to have gas. Yikes can it be bad. We have had 7 bouviers in the last 40 years and just assumed the gas was part of life with a Bouvier. Marc showed us another way and Grace has no gas and a perfect diet. Amazing, that alone is worth 5 stars. Also thanks to Honest Kitchen dog food.
OUR JACK RUSSELL’S– for some reason they had some bad skin allergies, really bad. Two of them were constantly at the Dog Dermatologist; doing shots, steroids you name it. Marc and PetStaurant fixed these dogs in 90 days. That is worth 5 stars.
What is absolutely incredible is Marc and his staffs gift to us of incredible client service. Thank you.

The single best thing you can do for your dog is visit the PetStaurant. Marc, the owner, was recommended to me by several people. My puppy was constantly having diarrhea during the first month we brought him home. We tried two different types of kibble with no luck. My friends told me Marc could help. Marc is kind enough to sit down with you and your puppy for an initial consultation. He asks a ton of questions all with the purpose of understanding the best diet for your dog (or cat, btw). Marc setup an appropriate diet for my dog and the diarrhea stopped immediately! My dog has been on the same initial food Marc recommended for almost two straight months with no issues.
But what really sets Marc apart is that all he cares about is your dog’s well being. I know, it sounds corny, but it’s true. At no point did Marc try to up-​sell us something my dog didnt need or add supplements to his diet recommendation. He simply wanted to make sure my puppy had the food that was best for him.
Marc also gives you options, so if you choose to cook for your dog, he’ll setup a diet to do just that. If you prefer kibble, he’ll do that too. If you want to buy all organic, etc, etc. there’s a plan for that as well. Whatever budget you set, is how Marc creates his recommendations.
I’ve been in touch with Marc constantly since our first initial visit, AT NO EXTRA CHARGE! He responds quickly and always has my puppie’s best interests at heart.

I am rating this for only one particular reason and that is the response the owner wrote to a disgruntled customer. She was upset with one of his employees and he personally took the time to write a very good, but heartfelt response. It is rare you see an owner take the time to make things right. I was looking for a pet care place and that’s how I happened to look at this place on Unilocal.Kudos to the owner for his dedication to his business and for caring about his customers.

Marc, owner of The Petstaurant is really an angel to the animals and their families. I work in animal rescue for many years and have worked with the full spectrum of vets, nutritionists and other animal specialsts. Marc is the best I have worked with when it comes to healing and helping animals get better using nutrition and all natural supplements/​herbs. He really understands dog and cat nutrition and has the expertise and experience than anyone else I have worked with.
I recommend all dog and cat care givers work with Marc as much as they can. And the other amazing thing about Marc is that his nutritional advice is always free and he is very generous about helping out as much as he can.
The Petstaurant makes a line of all natural whole-​some dog and cat food which is the best that any pet can have. It is very reasonably priced for the high quality ingredients it uses…

I wish I could give Marc Ching a million stars. What he has done for my dog is amazing. For a few years she has been getting constant yeast infections in a mere 5 weeks I have seen a miracle. By changing some of her home cooked diet and supplements, London has stopped chewing at her paws and her rash is gone. He has a big fan in me and my husband. He is honest, knowledgeable and I respect what he does for animals and will tell everyone about him.

They have all natural food, mostly for dogs but they have some cat stuff too.
I like that they have an adoption center in-​store and huge freezers full of frozen gourmet wet dog food even though I only buy dry kibble. Im not so sure about their other stuff, but it seems like if your dog has a special diet, they can accomodate pretty much anything.
They can be a little pricy but I think its totally worth it.

Mark is extremely knowledgeable and caring. My dogs are very very healthy thanks to him.

This review is long overdue. Marc and Petstaurant is a gift to the community. They go above and beyond to really help your animal restore it’s health and give it a quality life. Their foods and products are by far the best you will find anywhere in the United States, and I speak from 15 years of much research and experience in seeking out the best of the best for my little dog.
Back in October of 2012, my little dog was so sick she was bleeding from both ends. After many blood tests and a huge vet bill, I had almost lost hope with no answers. They told me her diet was fine and couldn’t determine why she was so sick. They also told me she would need to be put under anesthesia to cut a piece of her intestines out in order to determine if she had cancer or not. I was devastated and didn’t want to put her though all of that. A friend of mine recommended Marc. From the first phone call, Marc was very informative. He asked me what her diet was, and began to explain why giving my dog organic turkey slices from the butcher at whole foods wasn’t a good idea since it had additives in it my dog might be allergic to, amongst other things. [He actually even knew the name of the additive]. I was surprised since a vet recommended that diet. He then went ahead to explain how I could cook my own turkey for my dog and add my own organic veggies. Already, he was investing time into me and he didn’t even try to sell me his food. When I found out he sold food, I was elated. He agreed to meet my dog and take a look at her.
Upon meeting my dog, Marc took a good look at her and gave me hope that she would be ok, but told me she was quite sick and she could heal. He gave me some raw dog food and a protocol for my little one to heal her intestines and rebuild her immune system. This helped at first, but her intestines were so irritated that after a few days she got sick again, and I began to lose hope. I was going to put her down because I didn’t want her to suffer so much.
Marc urged me to try his herbs for 5 days. I followed his instructions along with his strict protocol. He was very supportive when I had questions, and even went the extra mile to give me information when he wasn’t even at the store.
In 5 days, my baby was running around like a puppy again! It was unbelievable! At the time, she was 13 years old! She is still with me now, 3 years later, and I can attribute that to Marc. Not only did he save my dog’s life, he improved the quality of it.
My baby is a very sensitive dog with just about every allergy you can imagine, but through Marc’s patience and expertise and top of the line products, he has helped her over these past 3 years to overcome allergies, candida, leaky gut and other issues. No — he is not a vet. He is in my opinion, much better. He has given all of his advice for free and it’s actually worked! When things got tough and didn’t go perfectly at first, he didn’t give up on us. He hung in there and trouble-​shooted. Honestly, the quality of service I have received from this man has gone beyond any other place I have taken my dog over the past 15 years. And… come to think of it… anywhere I have ever shopped! I’m not sure how he does it, because at times, I felt like I was his only customer. He really looked after us. This was a very stressful time and I know I was not the easiest customer to deal with [to say the least] but thank God for Marc! His products are not cheap, but they are worth it. Through educating me and teaching me how to listen to my dog as well as give her what she needs, he has literally saved me THOUSANDS of dollars in vet bills and I would much rather buy his products and know I am in good hands, then waste money shooting in the dark with vets who just want to pump my pet with medications and make their money. I’m not against vets, but I take my dog as little as possible, and that is why she has lived so long.
I could write a whole novel about how many times Marc tried to help us and the times I took the vet’s word over his– how it backfired. One example was when I had my dog’s teeth pulled, the vet told me to discontinue probiotics, since she was itching so much. Marc said to continue her probiotics and recommended a specific kind. I listened to the vet because the vet was insistent. My dog got a very bad case of candida and became so ill. It was Marc who once again helped me nurse her back to health. This didn’t happen overnight. Vets don’t know everything. Even the holistic ones don’t seem to know a lot about some of the best products and how to deal with these things, but Marc is an expert. Listen to him. Buy his stuff. It works!
Anyway, I just want to say-​thank you Marc, for your three years of dedicated service to us. I will continue to refer everyone I know to you. You are simply the best. :D

I have been taking my kids to see Marc for over a year now and wouldn’t have it any other way. I wrote a review on The PetStaurant about a year ago but just wanted to added another one because that’s how special Marc and his staff and shop are! Marc is truly an amazing soul who loves animals/​dogs with all of his heart and he is beyond committed to helping all dogs, but especially rescues and namely dogs with behavioral problems that have been abandoned.
Anyway, me and my babies still make our monthly trip to The PetStaurant to stock up on our fresh frozen food and just check-​in. Please call the shop if you dog needs special medical attention and make an appointment with him for a FREE consult and he will indeed give you and your baby his undivided attention.

We only get the best for our little rat terrier rescue. The first couple of months we had him he was a real finicky eater and despite trying different foods and treats that any dog would die for, nothing really worked. Eating was a chore for him.
Then I found PetStaurant on Unilocal and our lIttle guy loved it! We noticed he became more energetic and lively. His appetite improved and was now accepting other tasty treats.
The staff is helpful, the selection of meats is great (our baby loves the duck), prices are very reasonable for the quality and their focus on pets health.
So glad we found PetStaurant. Thank you Marc and staff.

Marc really saved my chihuahua’s life. I still can’t believe it. She was bleeding internally, needed blood transfusions twice, and 4 different vets and $ 3500 later, the vet was talking to me about putting her to sleep.
A friend told me about PetStaurant. After I talked to Marc, he said «I’ll fix her». I thought to myself, ya right. He put her on his special diet, probiotics, iron, and fiber and 2 weeks later, she was back to normal.
The irony is that when I asked a vet what I should feed her, he said whatever she eats. And Marc healed her by good food and diet. Thank you Marc for saving my little pooch.
