Dagna has worked on my guitars for a very long time along with my employers. We are and always have been more than pleased with her work. Thank you!

This is a 1 person operation. She seems to be technically skilled in guitar modification especially in making inlays and bone nuts. I asked her to fix the short in my bass circuitry where my passive worked fine but the active did not. Her first step was to replace the jack which makes no sense since it worked fine in Passive mode. She eventually found the short elsewhere in circuitry. I asked her to make me a bone nut which turned out very nice and demonstrated her skill. The final request I had was to do a pro set up. I gave her my bass with low action and some intonation issues. I asked her to set the action as tight possible. When I got it back the intonation was still off and the neck had noticeably more curve making the upper actions higher. I can fix it myself but for $ 70 for the set up to be better.
The worst part of the interaction was the customer service. It started from the drop off. My wife arrived during posted work hours at the time we said we would earlier that day. She had left for lunch and said she would not be back for over an hour. She was argumentative when I asked her why she replaced the jack. She did not call when it was finished. I called and stopped by during business hours 6 times before I was able to catch her actually there during the posted work hours. When I finally was able to get my bass back, she offered no apologies.
I assume she is better with acoustic guitars but it is clear bass is not a strong point for her. For myself though, I will not take anything there again simply because the customer service was so terrible.

Wow… where do I begin? Some a-​hole broke in to my studio and stole a bunch of my gear, including a custom Schecter that I’d had and loved for nearly 20 years. Insurance offered me $ 300 for a $ 1400 guitar, but would reimburse me the difference if I could prove I bought a replacement. I purchased a custom kit for a solid black walnut Telecaster from a licensed Fender shop, thinking I’d just be able to assemble it when it arrived (according to what they told me about their kits). I was wrong. Not only were there some serious issues with the routing of the body, but the fret work and finish on the neck were pretty seriously off. I was disappointed, but the wood choices were beautiful (1-​piece black walnut body and birdseye maple neck), so I HAD to find a way to make it work. I haggled with the manufacturer a bit, and they weren’t about to budge unless I agreed to ship the whole thing back and order another. Considering I waited 3 months for the kit to arrive, I wasn’t into that option at all. They eventually refunded me about $ 100 of a $ 1000 order, and they were clear that’s all they were willing to do. I asked a couple pro friends their advice, and they told me to contact a luthier and get an estimate. I got in touch with Dagna and explained my situation, and she agreed to take a look. She was honest in her assessment, which I appreciated, and offered to take the project on. It took a few weeks for her to finish, but it was well worth the wait. I could not be happier with my guitar! It’s been a few months now since the build was completed, and the axe plays like a dream. I took it to a friend’s place to show it off, and he said it was «world class quality» and one of the best guitars he’s ever touched. I have to agree. Although I ended up investing much more in this guitar than I had anticipated, it was worth every single penny. Dagna will be my one and only luthier, forever. If you’re on the fence between Silesia and another luthier, contemplate no more – this is your place. Thanks, Dagna, you are amazing at what you do!

I have this instrument from turkey and there was a crack on the neck. There was no way for me to send it back and get it fix and hopefully get it back without it gets more damaged. Anyways I looked around for guitar repair shop and found this place and wanted to try, and I am glad I did! She did an amazing job for the greatest price I can possibly get it fixed and to be honest I did not have too much expectations since the instrument is not familiar with guitar. But she did it, now I play it perfectly without any issues, and became a friend with Dagna. I highly recommend this place.

Dagna did a great job setting up my guitar. She very quickly figured out where the problems were, suggested the fixes, and even showed me mistakes I had made when I replaced strings myself. I am really happy with how the guitar plays, and I recommend Silesia for anyone looking for high quality meticulous repair.

So to start, I have been going to Parson’s for years. So looking for a new luthier was not something I was excited about. Learning that Dagna had opened her own shop was a welcome surprise. I did my research and learned as much as I could and decided to give Silesia a shot. My expectations were blown away. The work was done fast and my bass has never played better. The neck is as straight as can be and plays so fast now. Dagna even vacuumed out my bass case. I mean who does that? It is that kind of level of detail that has guaranteed I will be bringing all my guitars to her. Exceptional work by an exceptional luthier.

Dagna does exceptional work! She is a long time member of the Seattle music community and is a master of her craft. I am a professional recording and touring artist and I would trust her with any of my guitars… whether it was for a repair, a basic setup or anything in between! Silesia Guitars is the place to go.

In the last 5 years Dagna has built me a custom p-​bass, done fret work on my vintage Les Paul, performed several dozen setups, pick up installs, noisy jack fixes, etc. and whether it’s a big job or a little one I’ve come to count on the top notch work and attention to detail she provides every time. Consistently pro work at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

Just had my guitar setup today by Dagna Barrera. $ 60 for the works and it came out more beautiful than it went in. And it only took an hour from the drop off time. I will be here for all my setup needs.
