I came across Mackenzie through girlfriends that were sharing their gorgeous family and newborn picture sessions on Facebook. At that time I was looking for a maternity and newborn photographer. Mackenzie was so kind and worked with me when I was worried how and what my pictures where going to turn out like since my 1^st baby my pictures were very simple and not to my liking. She shared her locations she uses and said I could pick my location w/​in 25 miles of Simi or pay an extra $ 25.00 for another location. Of course I chose the beach for my maternity session. I shared with her a location (El Madador) she has never used and became amazed by the beauty this beach had to offer. The experience was more than I ever imagined. I had my 3 yr old daughter apart of our shoot and in pictures that required my husband and I she kept my daughter close and made her feel so comfortable my daughter couldn’t stop talking about her for days. Then came my newborn shoot a few weeks later and it was even more amazing. Her patience she had for my lil baby to cooperate and get the best pictures possible, I was forever grateful. She is truly amazing and her passion and creativity shows. I am so grateful to know you and have you apart of my family. Thank you so much for the memories I will have forever.

Mackenzie did an amazing job! She really knew how to work with our kids and getting them to smile. My son is usually very shy but her magic touch helped capture his true personality in our photos.

MacKenzie was quick to respond with any questions. Our lil guy was only 10 days old and we wanted to get some photos taken of him. We haven’t taken him to many places so I was a bit nervous about it. She was very patience with us as our lil guy decided to be alert throughout the whole session. I realized later that I had a small cup of my first coffee that day! We’ve asked MacKenzie to photograph our family twice. The first time was for a maternity session and the second was for our newborn photos. Both times we have absolutely loved our photos! The maternity shots were perfect and such a special keepsake for us now. The newborn photos were just adorable and we were proud to use them to announce the birth of our son. She did a great job of working with our newborn and was very understanding when he peed on the setup. The bottomline is that she is really good at what she does and with her clients. She is very easy to talk with and very accommodating. We look forward to using her for more sessions in the future.

My first experience with Mackenzie was for her Spring mini sessions. First of all, I LOVE that she offers these! What a great idea! Secondly, Mackenzie is so wonderful with children. My 3 year old daughter was so at ease with her and was so happy throughout the entire session. She was also so patient with my 7 month old and really went the extra mile to make him smile. My husband (who hates taking professional photos) actually told me that he wants to book her for some family portraits in the future!

I have worked with Mackenzie multiple times now for my daughter and myself and I love her photos, fun personality, and professionalism. She is so sweet and you can tell she enjoys what she does. I can’t wait to use her soon for my family photos!

We just did a mini session with Mackenzie on Sunday, and were very pleased. My 2 year old daughter was being difficult, so she took her for a walk and talked to her about what she wanted to do. This made my daughter feel so much more comfortable, and she was able to get some great shots. Mackenzie was not only professional, gentle, and sweet, but had such an adorable outdoor set up with so many great props! I have had several friends use Mackenzie to photograph their little ones, and they all have nothing but wonderful things to say about her, as well as beautiful pictures to show! And her prices are amazing!!! I will definitely be using Mackenzie again very soon!

We are already in love with the way things went at the shoot that we can’t wait to see the pictures. MacKenzie was awesome with my 2 ½ year old who could sometimes question why people are trying to take a picture of him. The session was just the right amount of time to capture all the right smiles. My son even walked away giving her a high five to show her the fun he had. We will definitely be booking another session with Mackenzie in the future.

We worked with MacKenzie over the weekend for a mini session of my 2 year old daughter. First off, I thought her «set-up”/ «backdrop» was adorable and completely my style. She did a great job of keeping Kassidy still which is a challenge in itself. Then when Kassidy wouldn’t sit still anymore she followed her around and i can tell she definitely got some great shots!!! I cannot wait to see them all!

I just did a mini-​photo shoot with Mackenzie and I have to say she was great! She had no problem getting down on the grass and dirt to get a good shot of my little one. She was very interactive with my daughter and Managed to get her to really smile at the end when even I couldn’t. I’m going to keep going to the mini photo shoots going forward and recommend to friends.

We had a great experience with Mackenzie! She was very sweet and professional and my 17 month old daughter loves her. She let Mackenzie hold her, which is very impressive. The mini session was a perfect amount of time for my toddler to be in the spotlight. Thanks for making this an easy, affordable and fun session!

My family and I just finished our seventh session, and second maternity session, with Mackie in the past four years. I swear every time we do a session, the photos turn out better than the last, even though I never think thats possible!
Mackie has shown a few teasers of the maternity session we just had and I am in complete awe of them. We went to Orcutt Ranch in the San Fernando Valley at 10 AM, hoping to beat the heat. Unfortunately, it was alread in the 90s when we got there. My husband and I were both hot and sweaty, and our already-​full-​of-​sass almost 2 year old was putting up a good fight. As always, Mackie was patient with her and kept promising she got some really good shots. She always captures the best moments, but I thought this time would be tough between the heat and crankiness.
After all these years, I should know better than to doubt her! The few we’ve seen so far are beyond gorgeous. They are so beautiful, I honestly cannot even believe that they are OUR family pictures. They look like something out of a magazine with my familys faces on them.
We have photographs and canvases from the previous six sessions all over our house. I cannot wait to add these to our walls. I am already having trouble choosing which ones to frame vs canvas vs just put in an album and I’ve only seen 10 of them so far!
I wouldn’t hesitate recommending her for a second. If you live a little far, she is more than worth the drive!

MacKenzie an absolute delight to work with! We were very familiar with her work, as she had done my sister’s engagement and wedding, a portrait session for one of my closest friends, and my husband and I also had engagement shots with her. Her work is amazing! We still get compliments on our engagement pictures! After seeing how those pics came out, I was really looking forward to seeing what she could do for our special day and I was definitely not disappointed! We just got our pictures, and they came out WONDERFUL and AMAZING! I knew from the 3 sneak peak pics we had in the days following our wedding that they would be, but seeing the hundreds and hundreds of pics we got back, I was so excited! Looking through them with my husband was like reliving moments of our wedding day. They really captured all of the emotions of the day on film. I couldn’t be happier with the results! The difficult part will be narrowing down and selecting a limited amount of pictures for our album and to display around our house. I would DEFINITELY recommend MacKenzie to anyone looking for a photographer for their wedding. It is well worth the investment!

MacKenzie is nothing short of AMAZING!!! She is our photographer for our wedding in September. She took our engagement photos and they turned out fantastic. I couldn’t be happier with her. We hired MacKenzie for our engagement and wedding. She did our engagement pictures and they came out amazing despite the huge crowd at the location. She had our digital prints done and ready for us in a week! We couldn’t be more happy with the work she has done and are looking forward to working with her at the wedding!
