Wedding Photography started as a favor for friends then grew into a business. I love landscapes but love people even more. As a professional LA photographer you get to meet the best people.

There’s an old Italian proverb which says: «A woman born beautfiul is born betrothed.» I say all brides are beautiful and that’s why I think I fall in love a little bit with each of my brides. It’s hard not to. I love women. When they are in their wedding day «mode» they’re irresistible. Glowing and smiling and pouring out such wonderful energy I’d almost shoot wedding photography for free just to ride the endorphins. Almost.

Wedding photography is perhaps the gold standard for photographers. How so? It’s a one shot deal — you miss those great moments and they’re hard to reproduce.

LA Wedding Photography for the bride to be? What a selection of great venues! For an LA wedding photographer it’s our biggest challenge. The greatest rush.

Yeah, I know shooting riots and models and sports is tough but this is the most important day of someone’s life and, unlike sports, there is usually only one (professional) person capturing the images. I take it very seriously.

I can’t say enough good things about Mark. He is kind, professional, courteous, and so pleasant and easy to work with. And so TALENTED! We hired Mark last minute to tape a family event and what he delivered was above and beyond our expectations.

So many great things about Mark. His pictures are awesome. He provided tons of sneak peak photos right after the wedding and a ton of wonderful and beautiful pictures a couple weeks after the wedding. The guests loved him. Mark is the best! Anyone interested in having a fun time Mark is the perfect photographer. The photos are beautiful and unique. He is very flexible and makes everything easy especially if you are shy. We had two family weddings and he made both weddings look stunning. Wedding planning is tough business, and you don’t know what you’re going to get in hiring a vendor to help make your day a success. A signed contract does not guarantee great performance. Mark Laing proved to be a sure bet straight away. We didn’t meet in person until we walked in the door of our venue in Malibu that bright October day, and Mark was already there scouting the location, prepped and ready to shoot.
Mark is a great guy. Gregarious and true, real, and a consummate professional, he immediately put us at ease and made the requisite pre-​ceremony photo-​ops great fun. We played on the beach and Mark gave us beautiful, natural images with which to forever remember those fleeting moments before we were to become the focus of our guest’s attention. And with his images, we are witness to the terrific abundance of joy present in the faces of all who came to celebrate with us.
There is a great deal of psychology at play in photographing people. Mark is smart and has a sensitivity that enables a truth to be evident in his work. That is what we wanted, not something posed or stiff. We were thrilled to catch glimpses of the first images so soon after the wedding. We were so lucky, our day felt absolutely perfect, and Mark’s photographs confirmed this! We were a hit!

You will never work with another photographer again after hiring Mark Laing. Mark is not only an extremely creative and talented photographer, he is also very professional and totally reliable. Our family hired Mark for photography and video services on two separate occasions; my son’s bar mitzvah and my daughter’s bat mitzvah.
Mark over-​delivered on both occasions. Judging from the quality of the finished product (photos and video edits), he put far more time into completing the work than is reasonable for the modest fee he charges.
As a bonus, Mark is personable and a fun addition to the party!

Mark Laing is the best photographer in Los Angeles. I have worked in the entertainment business for years and dealt with many photographers– yet none as personable who takes such great time and care on the most important day of ones life. Our pictures and the wedding video were exactly what we dreamed of. he captured the most magical moments without us even knowing. And almost two years after our wedding when my computer crashed – losing all my wedding pics– Mark saved the day again. I also, recently had a baby and had Mark take my pregnancy shots… another big win. We will use Mark for every important event in our life. What a gem! We booked Mark for our December 22nd wedding in Topanga Canyon, California as our videographer. I chose him after our first meeting. He was wonderfully personable and I was excited to have him around on the big day. He is also wonderfully responsive. Email him right now he’ll respond unbelievably fast!
On the day he got a ton of great shots and I didn’t have to instruct him at all (but I could had I wanted to).
The end result was wonderful! He did a great job and clearly spend a lot of time compiling the video. We couldn’t be happier, he should have charged us more!

Mark is a really great photographer. He is super creative and he really seems to love what he does. He makes you feel very comfortable being photographed which isn’t always the case for me. Everyone at the wedding kept commenting on how nice the photographer was. He always responded very promptly to all of my calls or emails and he produced some really amazing photos of my wedding. Mark shot and edited a video for us too that also came out really great. Mark is a talented, incredibly nice and extremely professional photographer. He was at the venue early, captured tons of beautiful shots, and had absolutely no ego when it came to my suggestions. Our wedding day was beautifully sunny — great for us, but challenging to a photographer — and Mark handled it beautifully, getting us great pictures. And he delivered our photos to us right away! Mark has taken our family portraits twice in 2011, and is scheduled to take our next portraits this upcoming November. He’s willing to travel to your favorite locations — we’ve picked a different spot each time in order to illustrate some of our favorite places we like to spend as a family. We love how he captures the creative side of our family — the laughter, the fun, the emotions, and the real time that defines us as a family. He works great with children and adults, making everyone feel comfortable. Every photo he takes is beautiful and tells a story. We always have a difficult time deciding which photos to hang on our walls, send to our family, and use on our annual holiday greeting cards. We highly recommend him. He’s so much fun to work with!!! You will not be disappointed in his great service, creative ability, and sense of humor!

Mark was absolutely amazing and we were very happy that we chose him to do our videography for our wedding in July. He is extremely professional and very responsive. I think I lost count of how many emails I sent him after the first week and he responded to each one to answer all my questions. He makes time for each of his clients regardless of how busy he may be. You would be surprised how many vendors don’t! By the time we decided to book Mark for our Videography, Mark was all booked up for the whole summer, and he still was able to make time to do our event! The videography was amazing and he gives you the raw footage, edited version and the montage and it was great to have all three! He made copies without me even asking, and stayed in touch throughout after the event to see what songs we wanted to add in the edited version and the montage. Great work, extreme professionalism, totally would recommend him for your event!
