Neil, why the sour grapes? Every customer invoice clearly states «NO CHECKS ACCEPTED». Most small repair places do not take personal checks. Sounds like the fact that you state that they «know you» might be the reason for their caution in not releasing your car without proper payment. I’m sure, if you had requested it, they would have given you a ride to the bank. The owner gave me more than one ride when I had my work done, and needed such.
True to my word in my previous review, I brought my car back to these guys to catch up on more things which were needed. The work was done just as desired, and the costs were just as discussed when the vehicle was dropped off. I do have to be careful though, as I’d gotten used to my cars level of power before the work was done; now the Fuel Injected V6 feels like new again, and runs accordingly.

Would not bother with this place. Have a bad attitude. I live opposite so they know me. Did $ 300+ work on my Jeep which I later found was totally unnecessary (New water pump etc when just the rad cap was bad. Then did work on my truck, would not take a check, (although they know me) Would not release the truck to enable me to go get cash from bank, making me walk over a mile to get it at age 65+.
