Perhaps you’ve heard about our legendary catering or know someone who’s had one of our fabulous dishes. Maybe you just dined with us or possibly you’ve never had the pleasure.

Any way you cut it, it’s time to treat yourself to Roll’n Pin, where you can count on quality gourmet foods homemade with the finest quality ingredients.

History

Established in 1974.

Re-opening as Roll’n Pin Restaurant in the late ‘70s, we continue to be one of Sioux Falls’ best local, family-owned & non-francise restaurants, and feature homemade and family style cooking, with gracious hospitality. We are growing and developing our restaurant with the goal of making Roll’n Pin your favorite places to be.

We encourage our customers to come as they are, individually or bring the whole family to enjoy our home cooked, made-from-scratch food. Whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner, we are willing and pleased to serve them. Our aim is to serve good, quality food, with courteous and prompt service, in a pleasant and clean atmosphere.

Before re-opeinging as Roll’n Pin in the late 70’s, we were named and part of the Smitty’s Pancake House chain, which was founded in Seattle, Washington in 1957.

Meet the Business Owner

Randy and Dawn H.

Business Owner

With a deep passion for serving bakery fresh food at deliciously affordable prices, we have been in the restaurant business for over 35 years each.

Not knowing he would be in the industry for life, Randy scrubbed pots and pans as a young senior high school student at a local truck stop. His managers quickly promoted him to a manager – in only a year and a half. Shortly thereafter, one of Randy’s managers asked him if he would be interested in being a manager at a restaurant he was opening. Randy told him, «yes,» but that he wanted to be an owner not just a manager. His manager agreed and the two went into business together. Randy purchased his partner’s stock in the business several years later.

Dawn came into the picture when she applied for a serving job at the Roll’n Pin. Suffice it to say, she got more than a serving job, she captured Randy’s heart. From server to book-keeper to manager, Dawn wears many hats.
