Stopped in and ordered an iced green tea — It came with tea, ice, and a biodegradable cup — WIN!

My husband and I love this place. Their food is excellent and they make everything organic and from scratch. Their tortilla soup is like no other, they bring all the bad stuff on the side(cream, tortilla etc) so for healthy conscious people like me that means a lot. Their paninis will tickle your taste buds. Flavorful, rich and filling! The service is good and everyone is smiling. Great presentation too as their dishes are super cute :-)

We went to this place on a whim, because we liked the name as we were walking past. Our lunch(a shared Tuscan chicken pannini) was luscious. And the presentation was as wonderful as the food. Service was quick, and cheerful.

Nice atmosphere, very friendly workers. The Turkey and Brie Wrap is to die for(for. not from). The Cedros Design Food was served fast, so definitely a great place to grab a quick bite for lunch.

This place is totally cute! It’s like a coffee shop, café, and froyo joint mixed into a lovely little package. My friend who knows the owners took me here, and recommended the paninis. I don’t remember which one I ordered, but I ordered half, and it was perfect for a little light lunch. There’s outdoor seating, and it’s just lovely for people watching in this cute little trendy shopping spot. I’ll be back for more!

Yum! You will find a favorite here & stick with it. He has some really amazing soups that you could eat everyday & never get tired of. The twisted mocha is a smooth blended drink, mixed with frozen yogurt. And he has a whole frozen yogurt bar which makes for a perfect dessert or treat on a hot day.

If I forget to bring lunch to work you will see me here! When people ask for a good place to eat nearby I point them in the direction of Twisted Tart. Why Twisted Tart when there are so many other places on Cedros Ave? Well they are a little easier on the pocket book then other cafes on Cedros, the service is always friendly, and the food is good. They have a range of healthy to not so healthy options… I typically get the grilled caprese… i. e not so healthy. I love the Chicken tortilla soup… but don’t order it because I might want some and well if you aren’t quick enough they sell out fast! Now there are a few draw backs one being, its not fast food. I don’t think the kitchen is big enough for the demand that they get. Then the other is the space is a little awkward but the patio isn’t so bad if you like to people watch.

Awesome awesome! Best panini I’ve had in a while. Yes, panini. It’s a legitimate froyo place, but they make great soup and sandwiches.

I ilke the paninis, and the yogurt, but the Service is HORRIBLE& Slow,…the people work there are nice, and mean well, they all seem like it’s their first day each time I have been there and the service is really slow… even if you put your order in ahead of time for pick-up, they will still manage to forget. Great location, great concept, but the service is horrific!

I’m in the same boat as Tami B. — this place is near my work. The food’s good, though the panini I had took a little longer than I would have liked to come out, it was tasty — and the service, while slow, was very warm and friendly. I’ll be back. Good stuff.

Twisted Tart fell in my lap when my office relocated to the design district on Cedros. Here’s the deal: it’s not the best frozen yogurt ever. The food isn’t absolutely amazing. However, there are plenty of redeeming qualities worth 4 stars for Twisted Tart. First of all, the staff is great. They remember you, they’re smiley, and the owner is awesome. Second, they give the Foursquare mayor a free drink every day. Third, their ingredients are all fresh and delicious and they have fantastic amounts of fruit. Fourth, they’re not JUST paninis, which is a blessing since Cedros is synonymous with Paniniville. They also have cute front patio with nice music and it feels very fresh and beachy there. I eat here probably once a week and I’ll continue to. The missing 1 star is because their service is slow. They only have a couple people behind the register, but it takes a long time for them to make a chai and make food. It’s not a quick place to eat, but it’s still my regular lunch spot.

I work just upstairs from Twisted Tart and find myself there on almost a daily basis, whether for morning coffee and muffins, paninis at lunch, or afternoon frozen yogurt. Everything on the menu is great, but the Turkey Florentine might be the best panini I’ve ever had… the flatbreads are great too. The owners, Jay and Gina, are there every day working hard and getting to know the customers; they take a lot of pride in their business and providing not only quality products, but quality service as well.

I initially heard about this place from a friend who works here… but it turns out it’s a yogurt place that sells paninis and espresso coffee… what?! But since I found a coupon and had to drop off a friend at the train station down the street, I figured we could give the place a shot. I ordered the turkey panini, she had a quiche, and we each had a drip coffee(which was surprisingly delicious too!). While the only seating is outdoors, I totally didn’t mind since it was a perfect day to enjoy the blue skies.(: The panini took a while to come out, but that’s cuz I saw him put it together and then toast it… mmm was it delicious though! I’ll admit I didn’t expect much out of the place – it sounds like it’s trying to do too much by covering these three areas, but I was pleasantly surprised. I also sampled their organic frozen yogurt, which was good. It’s a little hard to find though – tucked behind the florist shop. But definitely merits a return trip!

My friend suggested we come here for lunch before dropping me off at the train station since its just down the street. I never knew there were so many shops near the train station! I felt skeptical because I thought it was primarily a yogurt place and wondered how good could lunch be at a yogurt place? but i was surprised. I had the ham and cheese quiche and the house coffee(the 12 Apostles) I have no idea why its called that, but i like clever names! haha and even though i usually go for the dark roasts, it was pretty good. The service was really good, and he even came out to ask if everything was alright. There’s no seating inside the café, but on a nice day, it’s nice to sit outside and enjoy the weather. I’d definitely come here again for a quick bite to eat, maybe try their paninis, and a bit of shopping in the neighborhood next time i have to take the train again!

Tried their caprese panini today & really liked it! I still think the smoothies are the best, though. :) Another awesome visit as far as service & friendliness of the employees! That, above all, makes this place 5-star worthy.

Twisted Tart is good all around. I actually work here, and am impressed daily by the care given to quality by the couple that owns this place. The products are all locally bought, organic, and delicious! The yogurt is great, and of better quality than most of the self-serve yogurt places that have popped up. It’s actually healthy too. The food is also really good. A lot of care was put into each recipe, and everything is made fresh and with fresh ingredients. There are flatbreads, wraps, salads, and a variety of sandwiches. I would recommend the turkey florentine or roast beef paninis(even as an employee, I eat them almost everyday!) We’re tucked away in the quiet and quaint Cedros Design District, but we’re hoping that more people will discover us. It’s good stuff man!
