Description

Specialties

We are a professional organization of dog behaviorists that specializes in the diagnosis, prevention and correction of canine behavior problems. Some of the problems and areas dealt with include aggression to humans, dogs and other pets, digging, house soiling, destruction, fears, excessive barking, multi-pet problems, hyperactivity, unruliness, disobedience, puppy problems, geriatric problems, babies and dogs, children and dogs, behavior at the groomer’s or the vet’s office, special needs (people and dogs), puppy selection and testing.

All of the services we offer are based on the belief that when we adopt dogs into our families we are responsible for helping them make a successful adjustment to our world. Therefore, we must earn their trust and respect by establishing a relationship in which our dogs are bonded to us and happy to follow us as their pack leaders. In doing so, we create an ‘invisible leash’ that keeps them with us, learning from us and wanting to please us. And, if there is a behavior problem, we must correct the cause (s) of the problem, not the dog.

We deal comprehensively with solving and preventing behavior problems, which range from the simple to the most complex and perplexing. We service not only Cleveland and Northeast Ohio but also New York, Pennsylvania and other states. We also provide educational seminars and workshops for veterinarians and their staff, trainers and professionals who work with dogs, breed clubs and dog lovers.

Meet the Business Owner

Karen A.

Business Owner

Karen started training in 1957 when she had to give up a dog because of behavior problems. She was only 10 years old at the time but vowed that this would never happen again. Although completely honest and realistic in her prognosis of the problems she is working on, she carries this emotional experience with her to each case. It has fortified her commitment to use every moment of experience and education she has had, to continue her education and use all new resources available to her to fix the dog-behavior problems on which she consults so that the dogs can remain in their families.

She is also an expert witness and forensic investigator in legal cases involving dogs. Whether plaintiff or defense attorney, criminal or civil case, she can help you build the best possible case!

Karen is an accredited speaker for continuing education credits for veterinarians and veterinary technicians. She speaks to groups on a wide range of subjects concerning dog behavior and dog-owner dynamics.
