I grew up loving to climb and care for trees. After working for various tree services, I realized how much I had to offer the tree care industry.

I grew up in a rural area of Amador County. I moved up to the Lake Tahoe area in 1997 to begin my ski bum career. After being introduced to the world of professional tree care in 1998, I soon realized I had a lot to offer the local community of South Lake Tahoe. I have now been a tree care professional for over 15 years.

Knowledgeable, responsive, on time and hard working. I called Dan for some trimming around our cabin and was very pleased with his work. He brought down some difficult branches overhanging our roof with skill. His ground crew were polite and the area was left like he was never there. Highly recommend him for any tree work you need.

What can I say? These guys ROCK!!! I am usually pretty picky and do not toss around a 5 star rating unless it is well deserved and these 3 tree Gods felled a 90 footer like it was a sapling in the yard.
They didn’t hit two houses an RV or the shed and dropped it right where he called it! Well done and I would ALWAYS recommend!

VERY happy with Durkin Tree Service! Owner/​Operator Dan Durkin was knowledgeable, kind and efficient. He returned my phone call promptly. I needed several trees removed and Dan was able to explain the process and get the work done quickly! Dan left my yard looking clean and hauled away the wood chips.
TIP: I could have kept the wood chips or firewood which would have saved me a lil’ money. I will be calling Durkin Tree Service for all my future tree service needs.
