I have moved over 25 times in 50 years during my military and private life. It is safe to say that I am a moving expert. Some of those moves had issues while others were just OK, but none compare with Owens. They were experienced, professional, and friendly. They care and they are price competitive. They earned this complementary review, something I seldom offer. I highly recommend for any of your moving and storage requirements.

This company did an outstanding job moving us. This was a second home and I wasn’t there but they went by house and developed a fair estimate. They showed up on time, we’re professional, efficient and courteous! They boxed everything, wrapped furniture and loaded our truck. The price came in under the estimate! Fantastic experience

Our moving experience with Owen Brothers was excellent, the men Bill, Buck and Ruben made us feel very comfortable and not rushed. We had a couple different places to pick up our items and they were very accommodating. They know how to move with ease from the Bay Area to Tahoe, including dealing with weather. They showed up on time on both pick up and delivery and extra bonus for us, they set up our beds and table with a great attitude. They rearranged the furniture in the rooms multiple times as we determined the best lay-​outs, always with a smile. We highly recommend this moving company.

This is the second time we have used Owens Brothers, both times for local moves. Both times they earned highest reviews. Prompt, friendly, efficient, careful, affordable. They more than deliver on their promises. They even return to pick up boxes and moving materials. Having endured some terrible movers in the past, we appreciate The Owens crew even more fully. We hope never to have to move again, but we know whom to call if we do.

The men were cheerful, friendly, and concerned that they made us happy. They moved us from Arnold, California to Incline Village, Nevada. They had to move all our furnishings down 50 steps. They did it in good humor and without any problems. Nothing was scratched, nicked, or broken. Chris, Buck, Reuben and Ray did the move without taking any breaks which they certainly deserved. They were stellar workers. You won’t find a better moving company

We moved 4 trucks on 4 trips from Tahoe to Sonoma County. We talked to 3 – 4 companies before we found Owen’s Brothers on Unilocal.The others all made us more worried and less confident about this moving experience going well. When we met Erika from Owen’s Brothers, we knew immediately our problems were solved. Now that this is behind us I can say, as we expected, they did a superb job. Erika estimated accurately, gave us plenty of good advice, flexed her schedule to accommodate us, then changed it every time we fell behind or needed something different from them. They sent more workers to load the truck than she promised. She and her partner Chris are good, honest, hard-​working and very experienced moving folks. You will love having them on your relocation team. Their job is hard and they do it with a great attitude and empathy for the experience of the moving family. Sure, a very few of our things were slightly scratched from this big, tough move. As you would wish, they just made it right. They would have given us credit, taken our very slightly damaged items to an expert to have them fixed at Owen’s expense, anything we wanted. No resistance, only let’s get this right attitude. Call Owen’s Brothers first and when you meet them and show them your valuable possessions, you will know your moving fears and dreads are over. When they tell you how they are going to help and get this done right, believe them and you won’t regret it.

Owens Bros moved us today and it went as smoothly as a move can go. We were very happy with them from the quote process through to the end of the move. The crew of three they sent today were professional, polite, and very customer service oriented, not to mention as hard working as they come! I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Owens Bros helped us move over the weekend and they rocked! Their crew showed up in uniforms and were professional and efficient the whole day. All the furniture and boxes were handled expertly and no walls were scratched! Buck, Benjamin, and Ruben were super hard workers, never slowing down! I make a point of not wasting my time on mediocre reviews. If you see a review from me it’s because I had an exceptionally bad or good experience. In my case I was moving 2 hrs away and had a 3 floor house. I had just gotten a quote from someone from Craigslist that had talked me out of a pod and claimed to have trucks and all supplies. After wasting 2 hours of my time I find out that he’s not insured, and having necessary trucks meant having a number I could call to rent one for them lol what a joke. I found Owens bros on Unilocal and made arrangements for someone to come out for an estimate. Completely different level of professionalism. I sprained my ankle the day before he showed up so had to let him walk through the house and figure things out. With the sprained ankle he said he was going to have them include a quote for finishing my packing. What came back was a quote including materials, packing and moving that was substantially less than the sheister on Craigslist. I love their quote system, they give you a price they gaurantee not to exceed. And because I hadn’t secured my new place yet a huge plus was they have storage! I did get a place in time, the guys showed up on time were very careful with my things. I had a telescope with a dent on the end they thought they did it and were completely upfront and apologetic. When I told him it was already like that he was so visibly releaved I knew he felt genuinely bad. At the end of the day we finished very early and substantially under budget. So impressed with these guys I can’t say it enough. Thanks for everything ;)

We didn’t get the opportunity to utilize their services. I felt that they were slow to respond to a quote request. The email that I received back from them didn’t even specify who they were. Since I’m really busy right now trying to schedule multiple movers for a big move it’s important to me to have quick responses and for the people responding to identify themselves. I responded to their email telling me that they weren’t available on the day I was requesting by asking if they were available the day before as we are slightly flexible on the loading up day, but received no response. I am all for supporting local business but I will be going with another company from out of town who responded quickly, even though they are also not available on our originally requested day either. I hope that their experiences with other customers are better but I think I will be utilizing other places in the future as well.

My husband and I are in the processes of relocating to Truckee. We were nervous about moving our things to storage temporarily, but Owens Bros have made the process seamless. The Owens brothers have wonderful friendly staff all around and have gone out of their way to accommodate our moving date.
