I visited the location to see if there were any openings today. The receptionist said not right not but I could call in an hour to check. She gave me a card but collected NO info from me. I called an hour later and she said they just had a cancellation but they just filled it. That’s pretty poor customer service.

I scheduled an appointment online, and received confirmation from Peter Morse himself. Upon arriving the receptionist asked me if I was sure I was in the right place, I then showed her the email correspondence between myself and Peter. She signed me in and proceeded to swear at her computer for the forty minutes I waited. After the forty minutes, Peter Morse walked from the back and frantically yelled at his receptionist about how he needed to get paperwork done, and he’s sick of her doing this to him. He was on the verge of a nervous breakdown it seemed. The receptionist tried to explain to him that he personally scheduled the appointment, but he proceeded to storm away crying.
After another five minutes the receptionist asked me if I could come back later. I opted to not have a person who clearly needs counseling anywhere near my eyes, and left.
I leave very few Unilocal reviews, but I feel this is warranted.

This is a tiny, hole in the wall optometry office off of the food court in the Maine Mall. The waiting room straight out sucks, it’s tiny (like if someone’s paying for their appointment, they have to leave before the next person can come in). It’s three chairs and a receptionist, who, by the way always happens to be sick when I have my yearly checkup. In spite of this I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.
Dr. Morse is a smart, capable doctor. He has always had well-​thought out answers for questions I’ve asked (and I ask a lot of questions). He’s observant, and thorough. If you go to him you will get a thorough eye exam. If you have a problem with your eyes, he will know what to do. Plus, he’s just nice!
I’ve never had an appointment cancelled, as another reviewer has. I wouldn’t hold it against Dr. Morse. I’d also highly recommend Pro Vision (eyewear store) which is right next door. They typically have a great selection, and they’ve got a knowledgable staff of professionals to help you pick frames and lenses. Literally everyone there is nice too.
I took a star off for the perpetually sick receptionist. I always fear for my health when I enter this waiting room!

Scheduled an appt twice. Cancelled twice by the office. Can’t say how he is as an optometrist, but I won’t be scheduling a third time. Pass.
