Di Napoli Pizzeria and Ristorante

We walked into this place after a terrible experience we had at another restaurant in the area.
Food was good, average and nothing special. Im giving this place 5 stars because of the excellent service we had from Amanda. She was polite, smart, showed total knowledge of the menu (as we had questions) and the food came quickly to our table. We will be back!

Pastas, Breads, and PIZZA! One of my favorite pizza places out of 3. quality is their recipe and a big up for their great customer service.

Ordered delivery to my hotel room. I was surprised to get a knock on my door 20 minutes later. Spaghetti Bolognese was pretty good and reasonably priced with generous portion. Salad was very fresh. Highlight was the Tiramisu which was homemade and really good.

Good food, but always slow/​late when you order pickup. i just don’t get it.

Decent quality service. Excellent taste food compared with price! Don’t expect fine dining service then it will be 5 star experience for you.

Pretty good pizza joint for SSF. Pizzas are usually tasty and they can get you in and out quickly during the weekday lunch time rush. Decent selection of wine by the glass too.

My family and myself have been ordering pizza from this place for three years, but after today, I will never eat another slice from here again. If a had a chance to give it a lower star than one, I would.
I ordered a half pepperoni/​half cheese pizza about 20 minutes ago and what I got was a Pizza that was undercooked and what looked like expired pepperoni. This wasn’t the first time I’ve experience the same issues. About two weeks ago, I made the same order and I got the same result. I called to make a complaint about my order, and they blamed their «new cooker» for the accident.
If your hungry for some pizza, I would not recommend this place because you are in for some disappointment.

The food was on time and correct, I’ll give them that. But it was frankly horrible. The chicken on the chicken salad was like jerky. And my wife’s tortellini was drenched in some «chicken-​a-​la king”-type sauce. Finally, the delivery guy rolled his eyes at us because he wasn’t happy with the tip amount. No idea why they have such a high rating.

Ordered a pizza on a Sunday. Received the pizza over an hour after the order was received. It was completely dry… It had almost no sauce, the toppings were lazily placed on the pizza as if they fell there by accident. Whats more, they forgot ranch which we requested, as well as multiple other toppings.
I won’t get a pizza from this place again. In fact, I wish I could get my money back. Four slices were eaten out of a medium pizza before me and my friends stopped eating it.

This little Italian restaurant in downtown South San Francisco serves delicious food at affordable prices. I’ve been a couple of times, and I’d love to try all of their pasta dishes eventually! So far my favorite is a the pollo piccata over capellini. It was so well-​made, with capers, artichoke, and pancetta complimenting the chicken and al dente pasta, all wrapped up in a light lemon butter sauce.
Also the bruschetta. GET THE BRUSCHETTA. Those fresh tomatoes with balsamic vinegar and basil over perfectly toasted bread… yes. Get bruschetta and pasta paired with a glass of wine, and you’re going to have a nice night. The servers here are nice and helpful too, and did I mention it’s affordable? Pasta dishes are $ 12 – 16. I’ll be back.

Love the pizzas here. The pesto pizza is delicious! The sauce, the crust, EVERYTHING! I’ve only ordered take-​out, but every single time, it has been consistent!

My wife and I were in the mood for Italian food. We found Di Napoli and decided to try it out. First thing I noticed was the staff was extremely friendly and courteous. She provided us bread with butter and did not seem bothered when we asked for olive oil and vinegar. The menu has a wide range of pizza and pasta. My wife and I chose to get the Frutti di Mar and a Pesto Shrimp pasta! They were both amazing!!! We finished with an Affagato and chocolate Tartufo, also very good… The food and Service were enough to guarantee a return for us! Thanks Di Napoli!!!

If you like thin crust pizza then this is the place for you. It is really yummy. Only two different sizes, we usually get the family size and it can feed 3 – 4 people depending how hungry you are. Nice selection of wine. Bathrooms needed some help, I would have given it a five star rating if the bathroom was clean and if toilet worked.

Just tried to make reservations for this Sunday and was turned down because 15 ppl is too much. However, they are promoting private parties from 11−2pm. Doesn’t make sense. It’s no wonder they have so many bad reviews. I’ve had their pizzas before and they’re not all that great. Our church just needed a place to eat and Buon Gusto doesn’t open until 430pm.
I suggest next time not promoting party events if you’re not going to accept one. The girl I talked to had no clue what was going or if there’s another party.
Oh well. Good things there are other pizza places around.

Always a good choice for our group dinner. Food is always fresh and made fast. This is our go-​to Italian place for take out after 9pm. I love their vegetable panini!

To be clear, I am basing my updated review on the last time I went to DiNapoli, about 4 – 5 years ago, sometime after they moved from the quaint homey location on Grand Avenue to larger quarters on the corner. My favorites of tender chicken and grilled vegetables, AND the Quattro Fromaggio (four-​cheese) pizza were nowhere on the menu. The service was a little slack, and I left embarrassed at the big build-​up I had given my friends, because they weren’t impressed either.
p. s. Not my last meal on earth choice anymore, obviously.

I feel like I start many of my reviews with, «I’ve only tried one thing here.» Well, this review is no different, so here we are again, I suppose!
I’ve only tried one thing here — Di Napoli’s Amore Mio Pizza, and it’s been slightly different each of the three times. Their inconsistency hasn’t negatively affected my enjoyment; just a heads up for why you’re pizza may not taste exactly the same as last time.
I definitely like this pie more when its had a chance to sit for a bit — you know, 5 minutes before cold pizza status. I love how the arugula & cheese settle & how the Calabrian chile has a chance to properly spice the pizza throughout. I pick off the pancetta (that my friend I share with insists on getting.) Twice the meat portion was generous, once my friend complained that it wasn’t. Made no difference to me either way.
Looking forward to my fourth Amore Mio Pizza, which is about $ 13 for a small.

Good food, expensive and not good service. Went with my three kids and the kitchen personnel fought with my server so that she would bring the food to the kids as soon as it was done. Kids said they would prefer Dominos! However serving chocolate milk on wine glasses was their favorite.

This place is a treasure! After deciding between 4 Italian restaurants in a 1 block radius, my co-​worker and I selected this one, purely based on the seasonal beer selection. All the beers on tap were locally based and seriously delicious. (Not that I tried all of them, just familiar with the products… wait I don’t need to justify myself here!)
The food was amazing as well. A lot of fresh, vegetarian options and actually the price wasn’t over the top, like some Italian establishments. I had the vegetarian panini and it was extra cheesy, extra veggie and EXTRA BOMB. That, paired with the Anderson Valley Summer Solstice beer made for one happy girl.

This is an awesome stop when doing my work junkets for the academies we conduct at our regional office in San Bruno that is nearby. Located right on Grand Avenue, Di Napoli Ristorante & Pizzeria is quick, easy stop right off of Highway 101.
THE SETUP
When we’re not too cheap to just split a $ 9.99 Costco Combo pizza to share between two or three of us coworkers back at the Hilton Garden Inn (since Costco is just a mile or two away from the hotel), we’ll come here to Di Napoli (even closer to the hotel) and get some pizza (AND possibly pasta) to go, splitting the $ 25-​$ 30 Xtra large pizza pies with tax & tips amongst us.
LE MENU
The pizzas range from small, medium, large and xtra large and are all available to go.
* The pesto pizzas are very good and my favorites of all their pizzas (mainly because they haven’t messed these ones up), and yes, there are two: (1) the Al Pesto, with pesto sauce and cheese; and, (2) the La Siciliana, their pesto sauce, with onions, fresh spinach & feta cheese.
* We have also popped for their «pepperoni”-category pizza, or rather the Capricossa, which includes, besides pepperoni, also salami, sausage & mushroom, and in general this is a very good option, though on a recent stop it seemed to be a bit overcooked (and more singed on the edges than I would have liked).
* The cheese ravioli is excellent and I would almost prefer they use their bolognese sauce they use on the ravioli as the sauce for their tomato-​based pizzas as well — like the Capricossa pizza — but ce la vie (I probably could ask next time too). [Pro-​tip: make sure to ask for the grated parmesan on the ravioli before you «grab & go» so you don’t end up with the dry sprinkle kind.]
THE LOWDOWN
Bottom rule for me: «Pizza is like sex — when good it’s REALLY good, and when «bad», well, it’s STILL pretty good!» And Di Napoli delivers some pretty dam good pizza-​sex!
