Crivello Auto Body

I came in last week because my 2012 Lexus IS250 had some minor scratches towards the rear because I had carelessly back out of my garage and scratch it. I took over to Crevello for a price check, but instead of just telling me how much it would cost and sending me on my way, one of the guys in there, came looked at my car and told me that if I should just polish it and add some touch up paint instead of spending the $ 700+ dollars to repaint it. The next thing I know is one of the workers in the back came, took my car, polish and added touch up paint and you can barely tell it got scratched. What’s most amazing is when I went in to try to pay for the service, he told me not to worry about it, so I decided to write them this Unilocal comment.
The people who work here are amazing, with a big heart. It is not the fact that they took care me of without getting paid, but more importantly, given that they know they were not going to get paid, but yet still provided 5 star service. If I ever need any sort of body/​paint job for my car, I know where to go. Thank you Crevello again for making my day last week.

I took my car to Crivello’s Body Shop after it had been badly repaired at another shop in Sacramento. If only I had found Crivello’s initially, it would have saved me a lot of heartache. My frustration has been replaced with extreme satisfaction. My car now looks brand new! I am very impressed with the staff at Crivello’s and their workmanship. Should I, or anyone I know, ever need repairs to their vehicle, I will not hesitate to recommend Crivello’s. Anyone searching for a body shop to repair their vehicle should definitely give them a try. You won’t be sorry you did!!!

Been taking vehicles here for years and couldn’t be happier with their workmanship and friendliness. This is the only body shop in town that I’d recommend to a friend.

Can any body shop get any worse than this place??? After being T-​boned by a drunk driver, my insurance company referred me to this as their preferred provider shop here on Stockton. Told them I had both mechanical and body damages, and wanted mechanical damages fixed first, for if push came to shove, I could drive a beat-​up car, but couldn’t drive a mechanically undrivable car, so I was going to take it to mechanic first, then take it there to Crivellos for body work. But the guy claiming to be their manager claimed they also had a mechanical garage that could do 99% of all mechanical repairs, and anything that couldn’t do, they’d sub out on a supplemental invoice. Told them if they did have to sib-​out any work, I required that they NOT dtive my car, and instead tow it on a flatbed truck, and bill the towing to the repair bill, and if he had any problem with that, to let me know now, and I’d find a different body shop. He swore they’d only tow it, if they needed to sub anything out. And they promised to do ALL mechanical work first. So he know right then, so I could find a different body shop. They promised to do all I requested. So they talked me nto bringing my car there to start with. However, they did the body work first, then did the mechanical work. The transmission coolant lines were severed in the accident, so virtually all the transmisn fluid was trown up on top of the engine block, so virtually all transmission fluid had drained out of the transmission. Crivellos advised me of it, but said they used some coolant lines they had on hand at the shop, and said it wasn’t worth the hastle to do a supplemental bill just for that to my insurance company. I insisted tat they document & bill for everything they did. So they promised to document and bill everything. So they replaced the transmission coolant lines. Then they subbed-​out work on my car to two other ships across town. But they drove my car to those shops, instead of towing it, as promised and agreed. And that wouldn’t have been so bad, except that after they replaced the the transmission coolant lines, they acted in gross negligence by failing to put any transmission fluid back into the transmission! And the guy who admitted to driving my car was deaf in one ear and couldn’t hear anything out the other ear! Even with hearing aids he couldn’t hear. So they drove my car around the city for about 35 miles with little or no transmission fluid, thus burning up my transmission!!! Then the guy who claimed to be their manager, Jim, tried to lie to everyone, and claimed that my car was like that before the accident!!! They also did super-​crappy body work. For example, they had to replace the front bumper cover, but while doing so, they put a dent/​gouge in the new bumper cover, any of the clips to hold the bumper cover in place were never attached, … and some rubber strips are hanging way down to where they almost drag the ground!!! They refused to correct anything about that too. To make matters worse, their self-​described manager, Jim, began making indescribably unspeakable defamatory character assassination statents to everyone he could, including bit probably not limited to, the shops they subbed-​put work in my car to, my insurance company, rental car company, etc. Because of their negligence in destroying my transmission, plus lying about it and claiming it was like that before the accidence, I had trouble getting my insurance co. to repair my transmission. I was forced by ins. co. to sign over check to Crevellos and paty them before they did body work correctly, so Crivellos would release my car, so I could take it to a shop that does transmission work. Had a $ 100 expense to take car to a garage to inspect transmission, to say if it was accident or body shop related;
. promised to pay that bill, and fix if it said it was related. That shop said it was related, but because of lies from Crivellos, ins. refused to honor their recofmmendation, even refused to pay that bill; instead they demanded I pay for a transmission tear-​down (which usually costs close to $ 1,000)!!! Meanwhile, I’m also having to pay for my own rentale

I’ve been using Crivello’s Body & Paint for the last 28 years. I first met Joe Crivello in 1984 when he managed Chase Chevrolet’s body shop in downtown Stockton. At the time I had a new pickup that received damage to the front fender and needed to be repaired. When I got it back it looked as if it had just arrived from the factory. I was very impressed with the quality of the work.
When Joe opened up his own shop a couple of years later I continued to go to him for my auto body needs. Over the years I’ve been in need of his services several times and the vehicles have always been returned looking like they were new. They’ve always looked better than they did before they were damaged. Joe Crivello is very meticulous about the quality of the work that comes out of his shop and it shows in the finished product.

They did really good job with my 2006 Magnum, the painting and the works. Their craftsmanship is excellent — very rare you see nowadays. I got the recommendation from my insurance agent and now I am recommending people I know to go there if you want first class services!
