Called this guy to see if he was the original guy who gave me an awesome quote to program some keys that were already cut to my car. When I told him of my quoted price he told me it wasn’t credible and was rude and said that they would run it through my insurance and that it would still be out of pocket for about $ 110– $ 160. He ended the call very abruptly. Finally got ahold of the original guy and got 3 keys programmed for my car for the original quoted price of $ 50. If you’re looking for quality customer service and great prices and someone who doesn’t basically call you a liar and practically hang up on you, message me and I’ll send you to the guy I went through.

I wanted to a key fob programmed for a car I had bought a couple months ago so I looked online for a programmer and came across this company. I gave them a call after work just to see what could be done and the man that answered was really rude! I just wanted to explain my situation to him and he rudely interrupted me and asked «does your car even come with this feature» and I explained I thought so because it had a security system so it might have it and he interrupted me and talked to me like if I didn’t know anything. His website says «saves you a trip to the dealership» but he tells me I should go there and then call him back. Why would I call back of I go to the dealership? Might as well get the job done there. Bad customer support service, the only good C. S was when I was asked «anything else I can help with?» And the hang up wasn’t much better either. I just wanted information if something could be done but a potential was just lost. Maybe he was having a bad day but that should be no reason to act like that towards customers. I give just the C.S. 1 star, I don’t know how the rest would have gone but I wouldn’t be contacting this person again.

Roman had the best quote and best deal. He literally drove to my car and had a key made in seconds. I will recommend this company to everyone! What great service! Best company I’ve dealt with in probably forever!!! Thank you Roman.

Excellent service from The Key Guy, he went to the dealer, picked up the part and met me at my house. The key hole was damaged and the door panel had to be removed. The plastic part the key cylinder sits in was jacked up, but he worked on it till the cylinder would fit. Great price, very satisfied!

I had a great experience with the key guy. I lost my only key for a G35, being that it was over the weekend and in Merced most places were closed and/​or didn’t have correct key for my car. Out of desperation I called locksmiths from surrounding areas and I’m so thankful I found Roman. He was so friendly on the phone and very helpful. He drove all the way to Merced and was fast and efficient. The key works perfectly, I will definitely call him for future locksmith needs. Great job, this is how a business should be run!

I purchased a key for Acura online but Roman stated he would not program it since he didn’t get it from him. He explained he had had too many probs with keys he himself did not provide. I can totally understand that! I still had him come out. He did a great job and was very helpful and informative. I would recommend his services to anyone!

I’ve actually use Ramon twice. Once when some broke into my Charger and busted my trunk lock. Not only did he give the best price he also had the fastest response of arrival. He was very friendly and had great customer service. The first experience was so good that it was a no-​brainer to call him again when I lost the keys to my car. Once again he gave a great price. He’s the only locksmith I use now and I recommend him to my family and friends. So if you’re looking for great prices and good customer service definitely call him.

I called this morning to see if he could program new remote for my truck and cut two keys. I have the blanks and remote, I just need to get them usable. He said he wouldn’t help me because he didn’t sell them to me. Could have been easy money. Maybe business is so good he doesn’t need more. As a business owner, I doubt that’s the case.

Terrible experience with Roman. Very disappointed with the service he provided. I spent $ 121.00 on re-​keying 3 dead bolts in my house. He neglected to tell me that he provided only 2 keys with the service. If he would have told me this during our phone conversation I would have found some else to do the work.
I called him the following day and ask if there was any possible way to get a single key made and he rudely said «no». While I was trying to plead my case he abruptly hung up on me in mid sentence.
If you need a locksmith do not call him. Extremely rude and misleading.
I will tell everyone I know in Manteca not to use The Key Guy.

Roman was such a wonderful guy! He solved our problem of losing our car key in less than 30 mins! he was awesome!
Price he quoted us was $ 85 which was great because others was saying about $ 150 -$ 200… we cannot afford to just get car keys replaced for $ 200 that is wayyyy too much!
& he gave me a bonus car key for my other car!
