Sepideh Toloue, DDS

She has been my dentist for over 2 years now, she is super friendly and experienced. Clean office, great location. She is very flexible with scheduling and makes an effort to accommodate your schedule. She makes going to the dentist enjoyable, I look forward to seeing her every time. It’s a shame I only see her once every 6 months! We need more dentists like her in the world.

Dr. Toloue was very informative. She delivered more information than I am used to, She made me aware of what my options for treatment are and she was very welcoming and friendly.
She was very caring and professional and she made me feel very comfortable. She has an excellent bedside manner.
She is extremely knowledgeable, diligent and goes to great lengths to explain each and every procedure. Her ultimate priority is the comfort of the patient. I am the type that asks a lot of questions and she took time to answer them. The staff was very caring and knowledgeable. It was great to find a dentist who cares.

I’m 40 years old and live in Manhattan. I’d had braces for ten years, cavities for thirty, and have seen probably eight different dentists over my lifetime. Dr. Sepi, who was recommended through a friend four years ago, is the best dentist I’ve ever had, hands down. She has a fantastic personality, knows her work superwell, has never (to the best of my knowledge) made a mistake in my mouth, after a root canal, three fillings, and four routine checkups, including repairing painful damage caused by my previous dentist. She is also a talented painter part-​time and her office features some adorable examples of her art, and it feels very comfortable and happy in her office, like visiting a friend — very unlike any dental office I’d ever been to. I’ve now been to Sunnyside ten times in my life, nine of which have been to Dr Toloue. She’s absolutely worth the trip. (And if you live in Queens, you have no excuse not to go.)

When it comes to a dentist, I need a gentle one that won’t go to town without guiding me through the process. Dr. Tolou fits the bill! She has great bedside manners, guides through the process, and is gentle. If you care about your pearly whites, Dr. Tolou is the dentist to go see.

Have been going to Dr. Toloue for years. Always a pleasure and my teeth look great!
She had made herself available on special occasions when I needed a dentist at the last minute… opening her office early on weekends just for me!
I saw another review here for 1 star… not sure if it was legit because it doesn’t seem like Sepi’s office. That place is awesome. Highly recommended.

I have gone to Dr. Toloue for at least 3 years now and she is a caring and honest dentist. When I had an emergency she came in on her day off.? many dentists can you say that about?
I have no idea who wrote the other review and frankly find it curious that there is only one review for this doctor who has a very loyal client following.
The offices are decorated with art work and the equipment is impeccable.
I would fully recommend her and would even provide references of other patients I have referred to her and loved her work.
I for one travel in from Forest Hills to continue to have her as my dentist.
With Doctor Toloue you are in good hands.

I just wanted to say that the experience I had at Dr. Toloue’s office was so pleasant and friendly. She is a very caring and gentle dentist with the confidence and skills that I require for my dental needs. Her office is efficient and very clean with all the modern tools necessary to provide any and all dental procedures.
Conveniently located and has weekend hours available! Must Go!!!

Terrible.
The office is small and equipment dated (film xrays, old bibs and chairs, etc). While Dr. Toloue does indeed have a good bedside manner, she banged my front teeth repeatedly with the drill and dental instruments. Surely accidental, or was as she trying to create more work?.. haha.hmm.
As Dr. Toloue worked on me, her assistant pulled on the corner of my mouth the whole time with the suction tool as if she were trying to yank a prize bluefin tuna out of the Atlantic. Quite unorthodox and uncomfortable, to say the least. Most importantly though is that Dr. Toloue INSISTS on using «Amalgam» which is what doctors call mercury!
Now mercury/​amalgam has been proven to be one of the most toxic elements known to man and dentists know all too well how poisonous and detrimental it is to human health, yet they are still using it freely. Please, read on it for yourself!
Dr. Toloue had the audacity to attempt to convince me that mercury is «completely safe» and that she herself has many mercury fillings! Well you can fill YOUR whole mouth with mercury if you want, but we are discussing MY mouth and MY health. If I can help it, I choose not to have mercury in my body.
Thank goodness I recognized the conveniently ambiguous dental jargon «amalgam» prior to the work, otherwise I would have discovered it when I looked in a mirror! Certainly Dr. Toloue noticed I didn’t have any other mercury fillings. Unfortunately, I had a drilled-​out tooth at this point and so as infuriating as it was, I actually had to ARGUE with her, repeatedly, about wanting composite fillings, not mercury! Very patronizing and frustrating.
It’s unfathomable that mercury is used so carelessly and pushed on patients as actually being safe. There was a time when doctors promoted cigarette smoking as safe. That didn’t make it so however.
Please, do your research. It’s your own health and well-​being that are at stake, something many dentists are disregarding.
