CleanSpace

We’ve employed CleanSpace as our go-​to cleaner for the past 2 years, we have a large 5 bedroom/​4 bath home and I’ve tried 3 different cleaners over the years. I’ve been very satisfied with all the employees-it’s truly the best cleaning service we’ve ever had. Ashley is prompt and responsive in addressing any concerns we’ve had, and we’ve only had a few small issues over the past 24 months which is in itself commendable (missed cleaning a room, stain from vaccum on a part of the carpet, a broken window blind cord, our garage door jammed when they were leaving). I feel one major thing that sets cleaning services apart is how the response will be when something goes wrong. Each time there was a problem Ashley called me right away (while they were still in the house) and let me know what the problem was and proposed a solution – she had the team return to clean the missed room, someone came fix our garage door, a professional carpet cleaner deal with the small carpet stain, and offered to reimburse us to have our blind cord fixed. I’ve been so pleased with the honesty and integrity of this service!
After almost every cleaning Ashley will email me directly and ask for feedback, they also leave a feedback sheet at the time of cleaning to be submitted back. I’ve never had a cleaner solicit feedback from me so proactively!
As for the cleanings, they’ve been wonderful, thorough and responsive to our directions. I like that every other time they will work on a specified «extra item» such as cleaning baseboards, windows, patio, front stoop, etc. I entrust my home to the professionals at CleanSpace and recommend them without reservation!

I can not say enough about how fantastic Ashley and her team are … we have been using their services for the past 6 months or so and they are great! Super responsive, nice, timely, and the place looks great. I would recommend Ashley and the Clean Space to anyone and everyone!

We’ve been using Clean Space since 2013 and we look forward to every (other) week that we get a cleaning. Ashley’s team is efficient, trustworthy, and convenient. The cleanings are consistent and reliable. There has never been a cancellation or missed cleaning. Ashley follows up regularly via phone call/​email to ensure that we are happy with the cleanings and there is a feedback form for each cleaning. The text reminders the day before a cleaning are helpful too. With a toddler and another baby on the way, our house is riddled with toys, baby gates and mats and lots of clutter. Clean Space works around these obstacles to still achieve a great cleaning service and even tidying up some of these areas. We are very happy with Clean Space and Ashley’s service.

It is so nice to come home to a clean house. Clean Space cleans my home once every two weeks. I had to cancel 2 weeks ago, so they hadn’t cleaned in 4 weeks. They walked into the fur from 2 dogs and lots of dust today, and still did a magnificent job cleaning my home. They are great! Thank you Clean Space! :-)

The first visit was wonderful but degraded from there. If you need very basic, quick housekeeping and zero communication, this is for you. Three ppl, one hour.

I’ve used lots of cleaning services but Ashley’s CleanSpace was the best. She planned everything carefully, showed up on time and did a fabulous job. Price was competitive.

Based on the unresponsiveness of the owner, they get one star from me. I called and left a message, followed by two submissions online and nothing… that was months ago.

I found this company through Unilocal.I’ve had their service for 2 years now. Their rate is reasonable and ladies are very friendly and do a great job. I trust them fully with my house and most of the times, I’m not home when they come to clean my house. The owner, Ashely calls and checks in with me about their service periodically. They’ve always fulfilled my special request and happy to do it. I’m a very satisfied customer with this company.

I tried 3 cleaners in Santa Clara before finding CleanSpace, and really happy I finally found a legitimately good cleaner! (Actually two cleaners — they’re able to do a quick and excellent job instead of milking the hourly rate.)
Ashley is amazing. She always calls to make sure things are going well, I always get my text message the day before with the time the cleaners are showing up, and they always do a solid job.
Above and beyond — One day my apartment’s front office lost a key, and tried to blame it on the cleaners. While the front desk called to yell at me, Ashley called to apologize profusely and sent the cleaners back to look for the key and work things out. We later found out that the front-​office worker had lied — she’d lost the key and blamed it on CleanSpace! In the face of this, Ashley and her staff were still more than professional and absolutely amazing.
I highly recommend CleanSpace.

I have been working with Ashley, of CleanSpace, for 3 or 4 years now. Ashley calls me to go in and fix things — You know, Sometimes things break when the cleaner is cleaning something, and it’s almost never the cleaners fault — all the cleaners are very careful, but once in while a faucet can come loose or something can fall if its in a precarious place — that sort of thing. So, anyway, I go in and fix things for the customer and I can tell you, the only thing Ashley cares about is that the customer is satisfied and made whole. She’s one hell of nice lady.

I’ve used cleaning services for 20+ years and can’t say enough good things about Ashley and her team. We’ve had a great user experience starting with timely communication and a wonderful, friendly team who shows up on time and does a thorough job. We travel frequently and Ashley made it easy for us to reschedule cleanings when needed. I also love the value added approach and extra things they do each cleaning. Our dogs are always excited to see the CleanSpace team.

I tried two cleaning services for exactly one day each before CleanSpace, so I was prepared to be disappointed.
Thankfully I was anything but!
They’ve been cleaning my apartment for a while now and I appreciate the care and effort they put in.
In particular, my favorite parts:
They correspond with me by email because I prefer it!
They have a very clear list of rotating tasks and let me leave out the ones not useful to me.
They have a feedback form every visit… And they pay attention to what I write on it.
I can leave special instructions and trust they’ll be followed.

We had this service for about two months and the cleaning ladies were really nice and did a great job. We had to cancel because we needed more nanny hours. Ashley is always really patient on the phone. If we ever need a random deep clean, I’m calling Clean Space.

Definitely 5 stars for Ashley and the wonderful staff at CleanSpace! They’ve been cleaning our house every month for the last year and it’s the best experience we’ve ever had with house cleaners hands down. We’ve had many other cleaning services over the years but they were unreliable and often not qualified to clean properly. After we completely remodeled our house and had another house cleaning service ruin many of our new surfaces, we knew we needed a change and turned to Ashley who was doing some homes in our area. We couldn’t be more pleased with the quality of their work and their flexibility with our schedule as well as the follow up communication and recording of feedback for each visit. This is the most professional, well-​run cleaning business we’ve found in our area and we feel lucky to have found them.

We’ve been using CleanSpace for well over a year now, and it’s due time for a review. No BS, here’s how our experience with them has been:
We love having CleanSpace. It’s been a godsend. Seriously. We have them come in every 2 weeks. Since we’re hardly ever home (early morning, late in the evening), cleaning is impossible. It’s so nice and refreshing to have them here. I don’t know what I’ll do if I ever moved out of the area.
Best part about CleanSpace? They’re flexible, accommodating, and they listen. Ultimately, what made me choose them was that feedback mattered. It’s easy to reach out to Ashley, and she responds in a few hours. I think there was maybe one or two times when in the cleaning feedback I wrote something down — I got a phone call the very next day to be sure that that was the only thing that needed altering.
The cleaning itself is phenomenal. I don’t know how they keep that bathroom as clean as it is. When I attempt, its a biohazard. Somehow though, they make it happen. They also manage to circumnavigate the sheer mess that accumulates in the two weeks between cleanings. We don’t make it easy for them to clean this place. But they manage it fantastically. For that reason alone they deserve 5 stars.

Let me start this review by saying the people are VERY nice! I loved the cleaning lady’s and Ashely is great at checking in!
The reason I am giving a 3 star is the cleaning itself. We used them once a month for 6 months.
They seemed to always miss one or two things like not take all the trash out, dusting, not putting bags back in the trash, cobwebs, not wiping the fronts of the washer and dryer ect. (all things outlined in the list of things they do) Also in my shower I had to point pockets of mold out constantly and the rugs were never put back in the same spot. I also showed them were the hide a key was (always in the same spot) a few times, which cause a few issues.
I also started having them use my steam mope because the mop they were using left a «funky» smell at times.
I really liked how they give you a comment sheet at the end of the service so you could leave notes for the next time.
I had a few other issues with CleanSpace but Ashely went above and beyond to make them right!
After everything that had happened we decided to part ways with no hard feelings.

This review is not about the cleaning abilities of Clean Space. I bet they do a good job… once they actually follow up on your phone calls.
I first contacted them when they left a flyer on my door advertising their services in May. I called them, and they said they did not have staff until end of August to take on new clients before we got talking about my house etc. Within a few days, I got yet another flyer on my door. I thought maybe the situation had changed and called them again. I got the same response. This time, I did talk to Ashley at length about my requirements, she got my name and contact and promised to call when their staff was back end of August.
I didn’t hear back, and called them first week of September. Someone, not Ashley, asked whether this was for a one-​time cleaning or on-​going. I said I would first do a one-​time, and if I liked them, I would make it an ongoing thing. She said they had someone other person handling one time cleanings, and took my contact and said they would call me back. I asked when I should expect to hear back. She said within two business days. Well, its been a month. I am still waiting.
I tried very hard to give them my business. I am guessing they don’t want it :(
Not sure why they keep putting flyers out if they don’t have the required staff in the first place!

In response to owner comment: Just to clarify, the fine print in your policy very clearly states, «There is a yearly rate increase in September/​October of 7%.» When I asked you about this, you even confirmed it was a guaranteed increase of 7% yearly versus a «maximum» increase as your comment now says.

I actually signed up, and made an appointment after Ashley (the owner) called me back rather than speaking with the Call Center. After reading through their policies, I noticed that they charge a 7% rate increase automatically every year. In this economy, that’s just not reasonable. I honestly don’t know anyone that gets guaranteed raises each year, not even working for the government. Otherwise would have loved to try out their service based on all the great reviews here.

Since we moved, we now use new cleaners. Our last cleaners were recommended to us by the apartment complex we lived in. This time, I was on my own to find a good cleaning agency. I contacted 5 different agencies in Silicon Valley, and ³⁄₅ were extremely expensive and not very good at customer service. Then I contacted Cleanspace. Very polite, attentive, responsive, and professional (this was all through 2 phone calls). I set Ashley and Angelica to come on a Thursday, and I was SO excited.
They gave me a 2 hour window in which they would arrive, Angelica arrived inside the window, followed by Ashely. Both ladies were SO nice and wonderful. We have a little one (2 months old) and they cleaned the master bedroom and nursery first so we could be there while the rest of the house was cleaned.
They dust, clean kitchen, bathrooms, vaccum, mop, and add and extra chore on each time for no additional charge (as long as you hire them 2 times a month /​every other week). They do change the sheets, for an added $ 4.00 per bed, but that was not a big deal.
The house looked great and they are coming back in a week and a half!
I am shocked not more people have reviewed them, or use them. Well worth your time and money.

We’ve been using CleanSpace for about four months now, and it’s been such a relief to find them after some less than stellar experiences with other companies. This is probably the best-​run company I have ever encountered. They set up clear expectations on what they will and will not clean, how much it will cost, when they’ll show up, and how you can provide feedback. You get a reminder call the day before, and a follow-​up call the day after to make sure you’re satisfied with their work. They leave behind a feedback page that you can make notes on. They allow you to pay with credit card automatically (don’t require it, mind you, but I love not having to remember to leave a check).
They don’t currently service my best friend’s neighborhood (in Mountain View), and I’m trying to leverage her unhappiness about that to get her to move closer to me. I’ll keep you posted. :-)
