Elegant Thread Carpet Care serves both residential and commercial customers in the Santa Clara and San Mateo county areas. All of our carpet cleaning technicians are IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning & Restoration Certification) trained and certified, providing a multi-​step deep restorative cleaning process where carpets come out looking like new. Ecologically «green», we utilize a biodegradable «soap free» cleaning agent that is nontoxic, hypoallergenic and 100% environmentally safe. All of our customers and their property are treated with respect and care.

Our guarantee: «If the spots come back within 2 weeks, we come back at no charge».

For over 25 years Elegant Thread has been a family owned and operated non-​franchised carpet, upholstery and area rug cleaning business. We take immense pride in treating our family of clients as we would want to be treated, with respect and courtesy.

Greetings…

I joined the Elegant Thread family in 2002 with no idea how the operation of a carpet and upholstery cleaning business worked. What I did know, was that I am in the business of serving people. Since I take immense pride in providing first-​class customer service by placing myself in the consumer shoes, I could only feel that I was the right fit.

Soon after my employment, I attended IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, Restoration Certification) courses in Carpet Cleaning and Upholstery Cleaning obtaining certification both. It now gave me technical understanding of the unique service Elegant Thread offers.

For the past 12 years, I assisted in establishing a strong clientele that may know me as the friendly voice on the other side. Elegant Thread has allowed me to see how different we are as individuals with all sharing the same common expectation of being treated with respect.

We just had Elegant Thread out to do 4 bedrooms again. We’ve used them for about 20 years — once we used them we never tried anyone else. Their estimates are fair, their work is excellent, they are always prompt. We probably should have replaced some of these carpets years ago, but as long as Elegant Thread keeps them looking so great, we’ll wait a while longer. BTW our carpets are pale cream, almost white. Including living room and dining room and hall.

I have been using Elegant Thread for 20+ years now and won’t use anyone else ever. My rugs are always fresh and the pile is intact (not something you think of but You don’t want the direction of the fibers to be ruined).
They were lifesavers after I had an accident at home that resulted in a lot of blood on my new wall to wall carpet. They were able to save the rug and the padding. It was as if nothing had ever happened. Other companies had told me they couldn’t fix it but Elegant Thread saved the carpet and it looked brand new!
I recommend them to everyone.

i am very satisfied with Elegant Thread Carpet Cleaners. I’ve used them (3) times. They are very competent and more skillful at their trade than others I have used. I have used other cleaners where my rugs were supersaturated; this has never occurred with this purveyor. They use a dampener device of some sort which after they clean the rugs which sort of finishes the process. I always add the scotch guard. They’ve cleaned our wall to wall berber carpet, wool area rugs, couches and dining room chairs.

After doing some research on Unilocal for a local Sunnyvale Carpet Cleaning. I did read up on Chem Cleaning vs. Steam Cleaning. The Rug we needed to clean is an area rug in out Auto Body Shop Waiting area. The rug is high quality so I didn’t just want Coit or Stanley Steamers to Clean out rug.
Elegant Thread, Inc name just stood out ! With a name like this I had the impression that they would take care of our expensive area rug. After reading the fellow Unilocal reviews. I instantly called and spoke with a nice young lady that actually answered all my questions about Chem dry cleaning. We had a area that was quiet dirty from foot traffic She suggested the Steam cleaning would be best to get the dirt out. What was nice is that I just gave her the size of the rug and she gave me a quote over the phone. I made my appointment for the cleaning and the two guys that came out where very courteous, fast and effecient. They did the rug with a matter of 1 hour. The rug cleaning cost $ 100 and it was well worth the cleaning.
So if you are interested in finding a local business that will be careful with your expensive rugs I recommend Elegant Thread Inc.

I have been using Elegant Thread for at least six year. I had them come again last week and «viola» my carpets are beautiful again. They are a first class business. They are timely, polite, neat and even call and let you know they are on the way. I am always so pleased at how beautiful my carpets look when they are finished. we have a lot of traffic, two dogs and tan carpeting. I have occasionally had stains that I thought would never come out but Elegant Thread not only removes them but makes my carpets look like new again. I wouldn’t use anyone else.

Rarely do I rate the company’s I do business with. In this case I am making an exception. I just had our 15year old wool carpet cleaning by the elegant thread and it looks like new. They did a wonderful job, at a very competive price. I reccommend them without reservation.

I have been using Elegant Thread for about a decade — after I thought it could possibly be a good idea to try and do it myself and save a few bucks. People, when it comes to carpet cleaning — you get what you pay for. Leave it to the experts! Every technician that has ever come to my house has been polite and knowledgable. They have removed stains from my carpets that I thought would never go away. They give me tips on how I can spot clean between their visits. They even clean my dinky little kitchen and bathroom rugs while they are doing the big job, just to be nice. It has become my habit to have them come to my home during my Christmas and summer breaks and I actually look forward to it! Awesome company, definitely worth every penny.

We have used Elegant Thread for 11 years and we have always been pleased with their work. When we bought this house 12 yrs ago there was wall to wall berber carpet. I really didn’t like it although to replace it was not in our budget. 11 years later and it looks like new. We have it cleaned once a year and I really think Elegant Thread has attributed to its long life. I am happy I didn’t change our carpet and I’m glad we found such a good carpet cleaner.
