Gold Dust Pizza

By far my favorite pizza place in California and I often come up from San Diego just to eat here. The combination of the sauce and the crust are probably what make it stand out from all the other places. My go to pizzas are the all meat add jalapeños and artichoke hearts and the BBQ chicken. Bring a healthy appetite as they load up
on the toppings! Also, they just changed their name to Gold Dust Pizza so don’t worry when you get here, it’s all the same deliciousness from the same great people!!!

I really enjoy the town of Sutter Creek with all the antique shops and modern craft art shops on Main Street. But when you get hungry and want the BEST TASTING PIZZA (almost) anywhere in this region, you have this pizza place to go too! And that is ‘Pizza Plus’ which is just off the main street, so you have to know about this place the first time you go, or you might not realize it’s here, since most people stay on main street.
OMG! the pizzas (about 8 pizza variety choices to choose from) are fantastic tasting and very generous with the toppings. There are plenty of seating areas inside and more out in back which is an enclosed yard like space. The place is very clean, the bathroom is like your in someone’s house, the many high school age workers are all nice that I’ve talked with during the three visits now.
They also have some nice sandwich choices and nice salads. There are other nice places to eat in Sutter Creek, but if you crave pizza and I mean GREAT PIZZA, then you have to try this place. You might just find that you will find a reason to travel to Sutter Creek again just to get another pizza for lunch or dinner at ‘Pizza Plus’. (Now even I want to go back now again!!)

This place serves delicious pizza. The dough is perfectly cooked and the pizza is huge! The toppings taste flavorful and amazing. They also customize your pizza to how you like it. I was really impressed with the pizza here and definitely recommend eating at this joint.

Holy cow! I’m so particular about pizza and this place delivered! I have family in Jackson and have been hearing over and over how delicious the pizza is at Pizza Plus in Sutter Creek. I finally got to spend some time here prior to trick or treating Halloween evening. The pizza, ambiance, and customer service were all 5 stars in my opinion. (and honestly, I’ve always been a Round Table person) Seriously delicious pizza people! PERFECT crunchy but light crust, abundance of cheese and toppings.; to die for cheesy bread and dips for an appetizer and a refreshing, COLD mug of Blue Moon on tap. This restaurant has a great outdoor patio, and is extremely clean. Clean, clean, clean! What a refreshing treat and I can’t wait to return!

BEST PIZZA I’ve had in years!!! If you want great pizza with a great view this is the place to go! There is a beautiful seating area in the back and the pizza is delicious! Their beer and wine is also priced well and I still can’t way enough good things about their food. They have a great selection in toppings and everything is so fresh. They are also very friendly and attentive.

Excellent crust on their pizza! We had the chicken, BBQ sauce, pineapple pizza. We ordered a small, and it was more than enough for 2 people. A little too much sauce for my liking, but that crust more than made up for it.

First time here and it was excellent!!! Best pizza I’ve had! And the staff was very professional and attentive! Especially the manager who was working very hard to make sure all was smooth on a holiday. The patio setting by the creek was beautiful! We will be back!

Went while on vacation in the Gold Country. Very good crust, tasty toppings. I have a severe lactose issue, so we got our pizza without cheese. Cheese hides a lot of sins on pizza. Our pizza (I think it was the Gold Dust) was very tasty without the help of any cheese. I’d give a «meh» on the salads (help yourself from the clamshell assortment of pre-​made salads in the fridge, then pay)… my salad was fresh enough, OK as a side to nibble while awaiting the pizza. But the pizza was definitely worth going for, and better than most in restaurant-​blessed Silicon Valley. Wish I had a Pizza Plus near me at home! Oh, and the Man-​size beer mug is huge. I did not need to order my own small glass of beer – I could have just helped my hubby with his.

WOW!!! I didn’t know pizza could taste this good!!! The pizza is amazing and it’s right on the water. The beer comes in ICE cold mugs and they have lots to choose from! Great place to stop for a casual dinner in sutter creek!

My pizza here was so delicious. I wish this place were closer to my house and I would come here all the time.

I have had pizza in NY and every other state between. I know great pizza and this is great pizza. First rate service, prices are fair and this place is packed but they move folks through and you can eat and enjoy or takeout and enjoy… the constant? The pizza is first rate and excellent. We have had pies from this place on 3 occasions now over two years and it is consistently awesome. Highest possible rating for the pizza. Really, really really good… Crust, toppings, their combos (the gold rush is great.)

Love the pizza! The crust is to die for soft yet crunchy yum! We got half vegetarian and half moe’s bbq. Love the view and the relaxing ambiance. The back patio area where we sat overlooks Sutter Creek. One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had.

Great pizza. Loved the crust. Beautiful back yard for sitting near the Creek. Very busy, but reasonable time waiting for the 3 pizzas we ordered.

Worst customer service ever!!! Heather the manager is completely rude and unprofessional and the owners chalk it up to it being a «rough night!» I wonder how many rough nights a manger has to have before they are fired!!!
The owners obviously don’t care enough about their business to have someone like Heather running it when they are not there! A manager should never lose their cool and should never tell a customer «well what would you like me to do… It’s only pizza!» You are a pizza place correct? So shouldn’t it be about the pizza?
You can’t say you have exceptional customer service when you yourself as an owner don’t either. A business is first customer service and second your product and if you lack customer service, it doesn’t matter how great your product is; you will continue to lose business!
Keep it up and guaranteed your business will continue to go down hill!

Off the charts. Pizza is amazing. On our way back from kirkwood. Stopped in. Best pizza I have had in quite some time, or possibly ever!

Worth the drive from wherever you might be.

OMG! This pizza is amazing I can’t believe it. My favorite part of pizza is crust and they have a wonderful airy crust. A little to much cheese on the pepperoni pizza for my son he was chocking but I just took it off so next time I will just ask for light cheese on the kids pizza but other then that I can not wait to go back.

This is THE place for pizza whenever I go up to my parent’s place in Pioneer. We will go out of our way, 30 plus minutes to get here! I CRAAAVVEEEEE their Gold Digger Pizza, along side of their hot sauce!
In fact, I love their hot sauce so much, i mimicked it as I am not home for school, and thousands of miles away!
Their place is so cozy inside, and if you want to eat outdoors, you go through the back door to tables and umbrellas next to the (once, beautiful) river (WHERE DID IT GO?! :(), under a few trees!
The employees are super nice, and absolutely approachably friendly! I am almost sure that they don’t know us well enough, but they sure act like they see us all the time!

This place totally rocks, best pizza I have had by far. I drive 18 miles out of my way passing other pizza places on my way. They load it up and the crust is to die for. Great town to spend the day as well.
