I’ve visited the Ale Hose on Mildred several times and have never been impressed. Tonight’s visit was no different but to add awful costumer service was the cherry on top. I will never visit this establishment again!!! Since the food is disgusting, I ate before I arrive. I thought they couldn’t mess up a drink. I was wrong. My vodka cranberry was basically only juice. When I asked the manager about the vodka used, he told me he would never advise anyone to order a house drink. I’ve had the house liquor plenty of times elsewhere and it’s been perfectly fine. So then I get my check and was charged regular price for a happy hour drink. When I discussed this issue with the manager, he blame the waitress. First of all, as a leader take ownership of your establishment. At the end of the day you trained your staff, so if they make a mistake, you’ve made a mistake. Make it right with the customer!!! It’s ashamed that the waitress reimbursed me from her tips. I refused her offer. The manager should have made things right. I will never return to the Ale House!!! They will never get my money again for watered down drinks, dry inedible foods, and awful customer service especially from their management. If after reading this you still decide to go, I wish you the best of luck. You will need it there.

Love the Ale House! The potato skins are to die for and their beer/cider selection is awesome! Love the owners as well!

Not a bad stop! First off, they have a TON of beers on tap that are constantly rotating. There are tons of local options to choose from. I had the 10 barrel Pina which is the first time I’ve seen it on tap. The food here is pretty good too. I had the French dip which was tasty. It had a lot of meat on the sandwich and wasn’t overpowered by bread. It came with fries which were good! There are multiple TVs which is perfect for watching whatever game is on. If you’re looking for a good pint of local beer, this would be your place!

Went to treat my hubby to watch #NBAPLAYOFFS. Thought it was the average #localrestaurant for food and location The sweet potato fries were done, not burnt & my sliders were juicy. The service was fast & friendly. Our server was patient since we paid more attention to the big — screen TV. Other patrons were watching playoffs, soccer, baseball &MMA but there’s a lot of space do that we weren’t imposing on each other. Oh, there’s free Wi-Fi too. Don’t know if I’ll visit again this #summer but will keep in mind if the #Mariners make it to the race.

The brew selection is quite amazing here. A few corporate lagers and a huge list of amazing craft beers, served fresh on tap. The entrees are good, served quickly, and fairly priced. There’s never a parking problem, as they adjoin a large strip mall. For over 25 years, I’ve made The Ale House one of my «go to» places

So… Since the Alehouse has a special spot in my heart… I decided to give them another try… and once again the service was horrible! My son and I walked into a empty family section and not one table was clean… It took a good 5 mins before we were even acknowledged… waited another 5… still no menu! and then we left! FAIL! If, you are going to have a family section you might want to actually tend to it!!! Im sure down the road I will give them another shot cause I want them to succeed! But, for now… The ban continues!

Walked into the place and was amazed at the space they had. There were so many local beers on draft. Our server was very nice and gave us happy hour deals at 5:50 even though happy hour ends at 6 and we didn’t order until 6:10. Being new to Fircrest, originally from SF and LA, I think this place has plenty of potential if it had better music and more events. We got to watch the NBA finals game with great seats! We ordered fries right off the back since the happy hour deal was great! Also a half order of nachos for $ 5, spicy delicious chipotle sauce, perfect for two. We ordered 4 local craft beers for a great deal. Will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the selection!

This review is based on one visit. I ordered the potato skins from the appetizer menu for my dinner. I was shocked to receive only four small potato skins. They were dried out and had very little toppings on them. I asked the server if the order was correct. She asked the kitchen and they said yes. I paid 7.99 happy hour price, but was told it was the same size as a regular order. I’ve ordered this before at a lower price elsewhere and received a lot more skins at a lower price. At a regular price of 9.99(7.99 happy hour) and receiving such a measly amount and size has me shocked. This is the first review I’ve ever made, but really people do not order this here. If I were to guess these were left over skins from the day before…

I was disgruntled after receiving horrible service at Hank’s and came here instead for Taco Tuesday. Let me tell you the tacos are amazing! Their tortillas aren’t the kind you could buy at your local Safeway and it was loaded with meat. I came in hangry and I left a happy camper.

First time here was sold on a Linda special lavender drink, my boyfriend and I loved this place as soon as we saw the shuffle board. Food was amazing and huge portion I got the triple Turkey club and he got the ale house burger. Can’t go wrong with the 60 plus brews on tap!

After many years of being closed and New ownership the Alehouse is back open with over 60 beers on tap. Have only been here a couple times since the re opening. This review is solely based on my service and food. Sure I’ve only ordered one thing on the menu. Chicken strips. Yes everyone has chicken strips. But not everyone has chicken with 10 herbs and spices. Just one short of the colonel. I put these strips up against anyone willing to challenge. Go ahead try em if you don’t like them contact me and tell me why you didn’t like em, and where you’ve had better. Thanks Alehouse crew for one of my favorite late night snacks.

Had dinner at the Ale House tonight, and it met expectations. The poutine was solid, and my wife has the burger while I had the Pastrami sandwich. Service was very good even on a Friday night when the Mariners had a home game. If I need a burger and a beer again — I’m sorry, WHEN I need a burger and a beer again, Ale House will be my first choice.

Very decent place. Good bar food, great beer list, friendly staff. Menu is short and simple and they have decent happy hour and weekly specials. They have a separate place for families which is hard to find in good sports bars. This place deserves a chance with new ownership and staff. Did I mention the extended beer selection.

Was excited to finally visit since the reopening. I was very dissatisfied with the food and the service. The food was unimpressive and for the price I expected better. Our waitress was rude and did not follow up with us at all. Very disappointing. I won’t be back. I’ll explore beer across the street at Pint Defiance.

Finally had a chance to stop in after they reopened. Was a bit hesitant after reading some of the reviews. Glad we stopped in. Nice big beer list, standard liquor options. Ordered fish and chips, two good sized pieces of fish that were hand battered and served with a big pile of fries and coleslaw. I like it when a place that promotes itself as a good place to watch sports is actually aware of games that might be of local interest are on and then they make sure the games are put on more than one tv(pet peeve of mine as I hate having to ask for a tv to be changed). So — the fact that they had a TV set to automatically change to the Gonzaga vs WSU men’s bball game was a plus. Chris, our waiter, was full of knowledge about the different beers on tap and offered samples when I couldn’t decide. He wasn’t condescending in sharing his knowledge but rather really wanted to help me choose a beer that I’d like. Best service we’ve ever received at the Ale House. One thing he did that I really really liked is that he didn’t clear our plates until we were both finished eating! So many times if one person is done the waitstaff will clear their plate while others are still eating-this drives me crazy and I’m not sure if it’s what they are trained to do or what but it is incredibly rude in my opinion. Certainly not something I’m saying has happened here, just an observation of restaurant service in general.

My family’s been going to the Ale House for decades. My dad used to play on the restaurant’s softball team back in the day with the previous owners. The place reopened in June with new owners. I swung by on the first day and they were struggling, but they’ve come along way since then. Now, they got some All Star wait staff(I’ll find out his name cause he’s awesome!), but they are definitely doing better. If you’re looking for a local place to watch the game with a large selection of ale’s — check this place out! Definitely a good place to watch Monday Night Football and check out their specially priced Mondo drink!!!

This is my third time in. It’s quickly becoming my favorite place for a burger and beer. Michelle was our server tonight and she was excellent. Very attentive even though they were very busy. Burgers are excellent and at ½ pound very well priced. Kudos!

Came by to check out the«new» place as we were regulars back in the day. Place looks good but restaurant air smells moldy— HVAC needs to be replaced or they need to put some air scrubbers in… You can definitely tell the building was sealed up for a long time. If you have sensitive allergies, asthma or just a strong sense of smell, I’d recommend you stay away. This alone ruined our visit. We ordered beer and appetizers. 20 minutes to get our beers and 50 minutes to get our 3 appetizers. 2 of the appetizers were cold, one was given as complimentary and our waitress was extremely apologetic that they were cold. Beer was great– cold. Waitress was nice, but seemed task saturated. It was a Friday night— you gotta staff your restaurant/bar! The Ale House has been a UP hot spot for as long as I remember. I hope they get things figured out because the«new» place is already getting a bad reputation(my friends had visited right when they reopened and I was told it was a «hot mess.»). I’ll give them a few months to get things figured out… In the meantime, I’ll continue to visit Cheers West right down the road.

Arrived at 6:20p, got a table with 6 other friends. Never got any service for over an hour, had to go up to the bar to get drinks. After an hour of waiting for a server asked a waitress if we could get menus. She asks how many would you like? Took another 30 minutes for her to come back. She takes the orders of everyone else at the table but my husband and I. Had to get up and ask her if we could place our order since we were at the same table. She did serve 1 round of drinks. 1 person got their clam chowder which was cold and had a film on the top. At 9p we finally got served our food which our friends nachos were cold and the cheese was hard from probably sitting around for awhile. The rest of the food was subpar. They have some growing pains to work thru before we will go back.

We used to love this place. They had great food and awesome service so we were bummed when they closed. Once we found out they reopened we made it a point to revisit but what we found didn’t even come close to what we remembered. Our server did come by every so often but she seemed incredibly apathetic and confused. We came at ten so they only served fried foods(which I remember from the previous place and was fine with) but when we asked for a couple items she either told us the kitchen couldn’t do that(nachos) or just plain forgot to bring out our food(potato chips). The thing that was really odd was that we saw other tables order the same things we asked for and they actually received them, right after we were told we couldn’t order them! Sorry to say, it’ll take a lot for me to give this place another shot. Our poor service and lack of options did not make it a night to remember.
