Good drinks. Not bad food. Terrible service. Looked fully staffed but still took long to get service. Watched people who sat after us get food. Had to go get our own waters from the bar. I don’t think they care about this review though. It is a hole in the wall sports bar. Definitely could improve in service area.

Horrible service and horrible food. Boxed Mac and cheese. Didn’t check on us one time and got annoyed when we politely said we didn’t like the food. I won’t ever go back to the restaurant and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Also smelled like cigarettes and mildew.

The West End is by far the best place to watch a game at or just catch up with friends. I have been coming here for years and the drinks and service have been consistently amazing! I remember coming here for my 21st birthday when a friendly stranger offered me a shot of peppermint shnapps. I don’t recommend doing that. However, the steak is top notch and highly recommended. I can’t wait til football season. GOHAWKS!

My friends and I have been on the hunt for places to go for a good time and this place was not very good. We were going to get food but when the bartender messed up our drinks twice in major ways, we really didn’t see the point in trying to order food. We sat there prepared to still order after the drink mix ups but the bartender never checked on us after she gave us menus so we decided to leave. Will not be returning.

The bartenders are very attentive, the food is EXCELLENT everytime we go, they do UFC fight watching here, they have a million pull tabs. Pretty much, this place is our favorite in Tacoma.

We love the West End Tavern! The service is always great. We go there for the pub steak and the carved prime rib dip and have never been disappointed. The pub salad is great too. Lots of tvs and there is always room to sit unless there is a fight on. Call first to check:)

Nachos were ok, it had a lot of nacho cheese(Like the liquid 711 stuff) it was very salty and hard to finish. The wait staff was super nice. Drinks were strong. They had a veggie burger that was great.

Our drink order was taken promptly. We looked at our menus to order food and our server never came back. She hugged a small group as they came in after us, took their order, and were even fed. We waved her down 3 times and weren’t acknowledged. After the 4th wave down(30 minutes later) we asked for our tab. One beer, one soda. No tip. Not coming back.

Well, sadly I will NEVER go to this pub again. I was introduced by a friend around ten years ago and have been coming ever since. Always order the same thing and tip decent. I went in with my father last night to get the usual and after they took my beer order we were awkwardly informed that if we were not there to watch the UFC game we couldn’t order food. I was in shock, we just walked out. How can you go somewhere for so long and just get washed like that? It’s too bad because I’ve recommended this place for years when people ask me now I’ll just tell them to never go here. Thanks for all the great memories and good bye black and blue steak.

REUBENBISH! This place is pretty alright! I dig it. One of the only spots in the area that shows the fights. Thank you West End for supporting my fight addiction.

We love this place, usually. But tonight they fell really short. We ordered the pub steak with mac & cheese and house salad(no onions) and the spicy chicken nachos, no onions & no jalapeños. We ordered our food to go and it took about 25 – 30 mins to get our order. We got home and were totally disappointed. My steak & Mac n cheese was great. The nachos were COVERED in green onions. And my salad was lettuce tomatoes & croutons. Even though I asked if it was similar to a garden salad(had I known it was so boring I would have gotten the garden salad). It’s a good thing the request for no onions on the nachos weren’t due to an allergy. Tried to call and let them know, no answer.

Full disclosure: I had no idea what pull tabs were prior to coming to the West End. All I could think was, «Why are those old people hoarding the bread baskets at the bar?» Then I realized… that’s a thing! Many thanks to Texas, who raised me to believe anything more serious than a bingo game meant I was hellbound. also, many thanks to the kind waitress who explained how pull tabs work and answered all my questions – you’re fab! So, if pull tabs are your thing, West End has what you’re looking for. Also, if sports are your thing, West End REALLY has what you’re looking for. They have wall-to-wall-to-wall TVs in the bar and regular seating areas, and enough tables to fit you and all of your closest friends. Daily happy hours($ 3 domestic drafts on Saturday, $ 3.50 wells, some mixed specials) mean you’ll have plenty of money to spend on tabs, and they have a full menu for when your belly gets to rumblin’. We didn’t get any food this go-round, but we smelled it, and lemme tell you, I was having some serious restaurant envy watching the people sitting around us. The staff is more than helpful with finding whatever game you want to watch on one of the many TVs, and the waitresses made sure our drinks never ran dry. It was the perfect environment to watch Baylor beat OK State. Overall, the West End is a cool little neighborhood bar that will satisfy your sports fancy. I’ll be back.

I was there for the most recent UFC fight and the place was packed! However, our waitress was the most hardworking amazing gal I’d ever experienced! I never had to try and wave her down for drinks. I watched how she was hustling to get every one their drinks and they were flowing! Our food was great too. Great place.

Pretty good little spot… tons of tvs and views to watch the game from. The pot roast sandwhich is excellent. Only complaint is that the servers make you feel like you need to gain their respect and gawk at the tip right in front of your face. All the mirrors are a bit weird. It reminds me of what I imagine a sex club to look like… but I guess they come in handy there too.

The food was great but the service was horrible! I had to ask them for a beverage and ask them to take my order! Won’t go back. I can get a hamburger anywhere.
