History

Established in 1989.

CARSTAR was started in 1989 by the founder, Lirel Holt. Holt was an employee of 3M, and also an experienced former shop owner. Thanks to his work in collision management and his knowledge of running a business, the CARSTAR franchise was born.

Holt had a good head for business and was thoroughly committed to providing complete customer satisfaction. He conveyed this to thousands of industry managers and shop owners during workshops he addressed as a Director.

Holt wanted consumers in North America to have a network of quality auto collision repair shops. This network would consistently extend quality customer care, in addition to providing expert work. The CARSTAR franchise was built on this concept and it still applies today.
