We just had our Hunter Douglas blinds installed and were more than delighted. We went to Custom Blinds due to reviews from Unilocal and were not disappointed. George and Shant were extremely helpful and accommodating and their advice steered us in the correct direction and helped clear up our confusion. They were a delight to work with. Shant came right on time to measure and was extremely helpful in guiding us in choice of colors. They were installed today and look fabulous. Their installer, Richard, did an amazing job. As many have said, their customer service is above standard. I would recommend them to anyone looking for blinds. We are delighted we found them!

Incredible and experienced staff, great company! We installed new blinds and carpets in our home and couldn’t be more satisfied with the results. We almost went with colors and patterns we would not be happy with and with the help of their team, this was such an easy process and great experience.
Everything in our home was a custom project and they took all the proper measurements the first time around, so they were able to place the order and come back to complete it all in one day!

I feel the need to perpetuate the 5 star reviews for this wonderful company. It’s rare to find a company that truly respects their customers and stands by their product! George and Shant were not only personable but very knowledgeable and not a «hard sell». After I met them them at their place of business, I knew I wanted to get my blinds for my French doors from them. (Despite getting an offer from a dear friend in the business that I could get the blinds for less money with her discount, I chose to stay with these two fine gentlemen!). When the blinds were delivered and hung on time as promised, I realized they weren’t wide enough for me. This was nobody’s fault. They were nice enough to remake them for me just to make me happy! That is true customer service and I am thrilled to pass their name on to anybody that needs blinds or carpet. You will not be disappointed!!!

I was in LA shopping around when I walked into Custom Blinds and their customer service was great. I told them I was from the bay area and all I needed was some advice and assistance in picking the right stuff for my needs. They helped me a lot and spent some time with me even though I wasn’t going to buy from them. Great customer service is hard to come by so I would definitely recommend these guys.

We needed a bracket for a old Hunter Douglas Shade. We called Hunter Douglas customer service and said if there was any way we can get a bracket fast, they gave us list of dealers to contact. We called Custom Blind & Carpet and they found the exact bracket that we were looking for. When I went to pick up the bracket I ask them how much I own them for the bracket and they said NO CHARGE. I will use Custom Blind & Carpet for sure in the future.

Went in to the store and scheduled an appointment — based on the rave reviews. Never showed up. No call either.

We decided to remodel and update our Master Bedroom and Master Bathroom… Didn’t know what to do with Window Coverings on a large sliding glass door. Got on Hunter Douglas webpage for some ideas but still couldn’t figure out what would work for us. Called a few places with not much luck… we LUCKILY found Custom Blind & Carpet in Tarzana. Spoke with John over the phone and he was sooooo helpful, answering and explaining everything with such expertise. He even set up a free in home estimate and gave us a PERFECT suggestion, exactly seeing what we want and what would work best and meet our needs! My husband and I are so happy & grateful that we found John… HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend him & his team at Custom Blind & Carpet in Tarzana! Thank you JOHN!!!

My husband and I recently bought a new house and needed custom blinds. We called a few companies but Shant at Custom Blinds had the best price and was great to work with! He was on top of our order which I always appreciate. And the best part is that we love our blinds!!!

We completely remodeled (wood floors, interior paint, crown moulding, and window treatments) our place back in April/​May 2015. After interviewing 5 window treatment companies (both locally in Valencia and as far as the San Fernando Valley), we decided to go with Custom Blind & Carpet Inc. (Woodland Hills, CA) based on a referral from a family member who recently had some of her interior window treatments replaced by Custom Blind & Carpet Inc.
What was replaced? Our place is about 1700 sq. feet multi story residence. We have 28 or so windows ranging in various sizes. We wanted to go more uniform since we had a mixture of roman shades (living room, dining room), blinds (kitchen), and honeycomb shades and blinds (upstairs bedrooms). We decided to go with white wood plantation shutters in about 85% of the windows with the remaining being wood blinds (in the kitchen only). Aside from the crown moulding, the window treatment remodel was the last part of the remodel project that we finished.
Without question, we are really happy with how everything turned out with our new window treatments. The white wood plantation shutters look fantastic (went with outside mounting) with our dark brown wood floors. For the kitchen, we went with Hunter Douglas Everwood TruGrain and are really happy with that selection.
A few more comments:
1. Communication– Excellent communication throughout the process. We worked with John and he listened to what we wanted and was available whenever I needed to talk to him. Timelines were communicated to me and any delays he would let me know right away.
2. Price– Pretty competitive. They beat all of our local companies and provided us with exactly what we wanted. It wasn’t one of those situations where they offered us substandard product quality at our budget. They basically took our requirements and gave us a very fair/​competitive price.
3. Installation– Fast with excellent quality! They installed all of the plantation shutters in less than one day. The workmanship looks solid. The shutters themselves are excellent quality. The blinds in the kitchen were installed by another contractor and that was done within 2 hours or so.
In summary, we are very happy with how our window treatments turned out thanks to Custom Blind & Carpet Inc (and John)! We highly recommend them if you are looking to replace your window treatments with high quality product and service.

Custom Blinds and more specifically, Shant, are the best. shant will treat you like you are his only customer. He worked on two different projects for me, one was a Hunter Douglas installation in my home and the other was a carpet installation in a rental unit. He is easy to work, very honest, and will help guide you to the best selection. Both jobs they did for me were completed in a timely manner with very professional installers. I am a happy customer and Custom Blinds is now my go –to spot for floor and wall coverings. I have since referred him to other family members who also went on to hire him.

There are lots of carpet and blinds installers. I am usually hesitant to go with a personal referral bc if I don’t like the referral, or of they do not do a good job, then suddenly I am in a pickle. Anyway, my wife and I were referred to this place and we drove down from the city to the valley to check it out. We met with Shant. Let me tell you; it was a breeze. Its like he knew every question before we were going to ask it. I never take the first bid, but with him I did bc I am always willing to pay a little more for good customer service. So we hired this company to do the blinds and carpets. Later on, after the job was done PERFECTLY, I did a little price comparison shopping just to scratch that itch that I had to see if we got a good deal. Well, it was a great deal. Thank you very much. Then I came on Unilocal here to leave a review and I am not alone in my experience.

Go no where else for flooring or blinds — period.
From the first phone call all the way through till done you will never feel like you are not being taken care of.
I thought I would be overwhelmed and clueless to this process and I sort of was, however ever question I had was answered.
I had two room of carpet changed to Gorgeous flooring and two new blinds installed, a shutter and a honeycomb for my media room. LOVE it all. The only thing overwhelming was the choices.
I wish I had more floors that need to be done.
I loved this place so much I’m having them out all new blinds in my second home this Tuesday —
Trust me, Shant and John will not let you down.

Great experience with Custom Blind and Carpet! Shant was very helpful in selecting a carpet for us that we love. I changed my mind on the color AFTER we ordered it, and Shant was able to hustle, pull some strings and switch the order for us! Now THAT’S awesome customer service! He also called a few times to update me on the status of the carpet (it was coming from East coast weather). The install date worked out perfectly and the installers were very professional, tidy and quick! I was shocked it only took 1 day! Thanks guys! :D

When it comes to quality window coverings, outstanding service, super friendliness, on-​time deliveries, and very fair pricing, no one … NO ONE … is better than Custom Blind & Carpet.
The Roman shades that were in the kitchen of my newly purchased home were cumbersome to use and looked heavy … definitely not the light and airy feeling I wanted.
So I did what I usually do when I have a problem … I turned to Unilocal,read the many positive reviews about Custom Blind & Carpet, and called them immediately. Shant was able to come to my home that same afternoon and offered recommendations on product, fabric and color. While I could have become overwhelmed by all the options, Shant knew what I wanted and knew what would look best in my kitchen.
The installers took down and carted away the heavy Roman shades, then did a first-​class job of installing my new window coverings which are powered by a remote control for the top-​down bottom-​up feature. These gorgeous shades allow plenty of light to come through during the day while offering me all the privacy I want at night.
Best of all, the product, the fabric, and the color are absolutely perfect!

We purchased a brand new home with a large amount of uncovered custom size windows. I Unilocaled companies near me and based on reviews I decided to go with Custom Blind and Carpet. The Unilocalers did not let me down.
From the time I made the initial appointment to the time they were able to install they were always friendly and very professional. We had multiple delays on the installation due to construction that was not ready, Shaun, John and our installer Andy were super friendly and understanding. I highly recommend this company, in fact I have already referred a friend to them.

Richard did an amazing job – not only on the installation but he had a fun personality which was very refreshing. If we need anything done again we will defiantly go back to Custom Blinds & Carpet, and you bet we’d refer them to others. A Job well done. :)
