We moved to Temecula 4 years ago and began exploring the wineries. There are two main roads(with off-shoots) that make up the Temecula Wine Country experience. We belong to 5 wineries, 3 of which are on DePortola, of which Renzoni is one. Although the wineries on DePortola tend to be less busy, we have definitely noticed an upturn in visitors as this road becomes more well-known. And for good reasons: their wines, ambiance, food, friendliness and service. Renzoni has beautiful grounds with an amazing view from their expansive patio. There(usually) is plenty of seating, a large shaded area, outdoor grill/café, wonderful servers. The food prices are reasonable, an extra glass of wine reasonable. Being a member has it’s definite upside with free tastings and glasses of wine(up to 8 per month). The member’s room is very small, but we want to be outside anyways, so we don’t care. The view and the wine and the availability of food sold us, so we became members a year ago, and intend to continue. The downside is the food takes a long time(if it’s busy, especially on weekends), so just know it’s going to take an hour and so: take a deep breath, slow down, take another sip, enjoy the view and relax!

WOW! Another incredible experience on our Visit to your winery on 6÷10÷16. Our Bus Charter group of 38 people was treated with yet another spectacular lunch at your Mamma-Rosa’s Trattoria Bistro. The setting was perfect, as we sat on the Patio overlooking your Vineyards on a perfect clear day. The food was amazing, and I especially liked the Chef Felix Speciale Sandwich… the spicy meatballs was just the perfect accoutrements to your bottle of Rose’. Thank you again, for we will be booking yet again for our 3 consecutive year for next years Rainbow RV Rally Charter Bus Group. Tim Vasquez Rainbow RV

Good food! Not great, but good and we would come back. The atmosphere was nice, but seemed a bit commercialized. Short wine pours. Pizza was good, but wasn’t truly authentic. Sandwiches were good!

Had never been to Temecula wine country before this visit. We were told by a friend to go to Renzoni because it was her favorite winery and bet we would like it. She would have won the bet! We loved it. We had lunch on the patio with the sun shining and a slight breeze. The Quattro Fromage pizza. Delicious! We then went into the tasting room. We tried the 5 wine tastings. We immediately knew we liked these wines. We thought we would probably buy a couple of bottles but ended up buying more than a case. Our wine steward picked up on our taste and steered us to various other wines. We are not wine snobs. But, we know what we like. We rarely purchase wine retail. We much prefer to visit vineyards and wineries and purchased their wines. It’s all about the EXPERIENCE! We definitely enjoy Renzoni and will be back. I write this as I’m have Renzoni’s Viognier. Highly recommended.

Of all the wineries I’ve visited in the Temecula valley wine country, Robert Renzoni vineyards and winery is my favorite by a long shot. The care and planning put into each wine is the same labor of love that Robert put into his winery. The atmosphere that comes over you when you step into the tasting room carries out into the outside patio leaving you with a feeling of elegance and at the same time is more then welcoming then any other winery I’ve been to. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the weekends often feature live entertainment from local bands. There are both beers and wines of the highest caliber and features some of the best food I have ever tasted in all the traveling I have done. I give this place 5 stars because of the feeling of being welcomed home every time I have visited and I will continue to visit for years to come.

Love it here. The food is delicious. Our friends live out here so they are regulars. When we visit Temecula, almost monthly, this is must for us! The spicy Italian sandwich… Oh my gosh. The pizzas are yummy. Oh, heard I the wine is great… Im going by the many empty bottles left on the table as we say adiós.

Sit out on the patio and enjoy the amazing views. There are shaded areas, misters, and heaters, whatever you need to be comfortable. Really great people. The pizza and meat and cheese platter are yummy. I highly recommend.

Temecula has always been our local«go-to» road trip for good wine. We grabbed a friend of ours and drove out to pick up some wine and knew we needed to visit Renzoni Vineyards. We love their reds and knew our friend would too. Now I will say in the past, some of the people pouring the tastings haven’t necessarily left us with the warm fuzzies by way of personality, but then again, we were there to decide if we we’re buying their wine, not to make best friends! We always try to go during the week(yes, we’re retired), as it is less crowded, and because the weekends tend to attract large crowds, wedding parties, people that just go to drink, etc. We are there to «taste» wine, and decide if we’d like to purchase. No, we’re not wine snobs, however, we do know what we’re doing and know that we’re not going just to drink. We’re on a mission to purchase good wine! Anyway, back to my review. This time at Renzoni was unlike anytime we’ve been in the past. We walked in and were immediately greeted by Danae. We paid for a tasting and decided to pick and choose what we wanted to taste. She was MOST informative about their wines, knew her stuff and had an amazing personality! We spent quite a bit of time and purchased several bottles, as did our friend! It is MOST refreshing when you come upon someone who is pouring the tastings and dealing with the various people drinking,(yes, they’ve seen it all I’m sure), but to find that they continue to maintain a professional attitude, are enjoyable to talk to, AND knowledgeable about the wines we’re tasting is just a huge bonus! It makes you feel welcome, it made us feel welcome and it made us feel that she actually cared about which wines we were purchasing, and it brought smiles to our little faces. Thank you Danae for making our visit a memorable one and you can BET we’ll be back in a couple of months to visit again!

Far out in the valley, … …where the grass is as green as a ripening snow pea and the soaring high mountains and rolling hills seemingly high five the stratus clouds, …sits a place comprised of multitudinous vineyards — each stretching as far out as one’s eyes can see. Affording wine tastings to both — the enervated in spirit and/or the imperviously inebriated — pilgrims traversing from near and afar refer to this place as… Temecula. Purveying an astounding 30+ wineries to peruse at one’s sole discretion, Temecula’s «Wine County» does –NOT– make it easy to derive a favorite, yet… I’m led to lean on Robert Renzoni as a personal preference all my own. Located somewhat off of «the beaten path» that is Rancho California Road, sits the«Tuscan themed» Robert Renzoni Vineyards Winery amid the D.W.T.(De Portola Wine Trail) — that frankly, you’ll have to Google for directions on how to access…(it’s not difficult by any means, just a bit much to elaborate on) —- this winery is a wine enthusiast’s paradise! Disseminating berries to appease EVERY palate, varieties include: * Prosecco Superiore(Brut) * Moscato d’Asti Cantata(White Blend) * Pinot Grigio * Barile Chardonnay * Brunello di Sangiovese * Tempranillo * Concerto(Red Blend) * Zinfandel * Bellissimo * Paradiso Port —-(my personal favorite) * LaRosa(Rose of Sangiovese) …(another fav’) —- and the list just goes on and on! Tastings — differ in prices, from $ 15 – 20.00(dependent upon the day of week) and are presented from knowledgeable staff members(more than I can state for a number of places within this area). A small yet added surcharge will afford guest(s) souvenir stemware displaying the Robert Renzoni sobriquet. Unlike other wineries affording the same ‘parting gift’, this eminent wine glass is actually consistent of superior quality and duly serves as a topic of conversation for visitors to one’s home. As other reviews have avowed — bread sticks with a side of marinara are provided to further coalesce with one’s sense of taste. This added wow factor is star worthy within itself. Lastly, …lest thy not deviate from the winery’s restaurant, «Mama Rosa’s Trattoria» [separate review]. From the outside veranda, overlooking the villa and scenic panoramic vistas, down to the lanai’s fireplace contributing a sense of «home» as well as solace from frequent wind gust —- the charm, luster and nostalgia of this Temescal Valley gem are ineluctable if not, insurmountable. Open daily from noon until 5pm — this on-site jazz streaming eatery disseminates everything from charcuterie platters to bruschetta, ensalatas, gnocchi and pizzas — each of which are TODIEFOR —— and it’s no secret that Kenny Ken knows his food!!! All things considered, should you grow weary from trekking around the mundane«tourist driven» wineries on the«Strip» for prolonged monotonous encounters — I entreat you to make your way this direction. ~~~~~~~~~Just be sure to remove yourself from my table when you view me parking… and intuitively, you’ll increase your chances of living«Happily Ever After!~~~~~~~~~~~

2÷26÷2016 We’ve been to Temecula for wine tasting more than than I can count, but we usually do our tasting on California Rd. We decided to get on a different path & we made Robert Renzoni our second stop of the day & let me just say it was worth it. [I was there 2 weekends pass] I am not going to lie that we were a bit buzz from tasting at Gershon Bachcus Vitners literally right across the way. [Look for my review] The vineyard is itself is very beautiful, it was very busy that day. You pay $ 20 for the tasting [wine glass included] & they give you poker chips to keep track. FYI! They ask for your ID so if you don’t have it you may not be able to taste so make sure you don’t forget it. We were lucky to run into Terry who worked at Weins when my cousin signed up for her first wine club [no longer a member due to price $$$] We knew right away we were going to get excellent customer service. There were 6 of us so we were able to taste 98% of their wines on the tasting list. +Dry White Wines that I liked in order: Smell, Taste, Dryness 2014 Barile Chardonnay — purchased 1 bottle 2014 Viognier– purchased 1 bottle n/a Prosecco +Red Wines were mostly liked based on smell, taste, finish [bottles purchased] 2012 Barbera 2013 Big Fred’s Red 2013 Sonata +Sweet Wines [not fans but I will say we did like] 2014 Bellissimo Overall, we had a great experience at Robert Renzoni, big Thanks to Terry!!!

A beautiful place with friendly people working there. And you get a little side of marinara sauce with your bread sticks during the tasting. We had a great time. My favorite was big fred’s red. If you plan on eating here, get here early to get your order in. The menu looked really good but the wait was 80 minutes so we opted to get food at our next stop. But the food did look delicious!

This place is absolutely beautiful, the view as well as the layout is gorgeous. It’s only open from like noon to 5pm, and they only have one small kitchen so sometimes the food takes a while to come out. But that doesn’t really matter because during that time period — you should most definitely be wine tasting! & enjoying the gorgeous view. They also have a little sign by the register/where you order your food on how long the food will come out. Every wine I tasted was delicious AF. And the food was also very delicious, you literally can order anything and it’ll be a great decision. Our wine person.(Not sure what they’re called), but she was super knowledgeable about each wine that we tasted. Also, the marinara sauce is BOMBAF. I could not stop snacking on the little croûton thing & marinara. So good I almost forgot about the wine. Definitely a must while in Temecula.

I have to upgrade this to 5 stars. This time we had lunch here and the whole party REALLY enjoyed the food. I ordered my favorite old vine zinfandel and we ordered these items to share — and I recommend all of them: — Meat and cheese board — Tortellacci Al Gorgonzola — braised short ribs with tortellini in gorgonzola cream sauce — Trofie Alla Pizzaiola — Theses are little twisted pastas that are tapered at the ends. Comes with italian sausage, mushrooms and marinara sauce. — Julia’s Favorite — This is like a Margherita pizza — it’s topped with tomatoes and basil. Very simple but the crust is absolutely delicious. — Tre salame– pizza with salami

We recently took a group of friends wine tasting and this was on our list of stops. Not only do they have a good selection of wines, but their food is amazing! They are known for their marinara sauce. When you do wine tastings there, you will be given breadstick crackers and marinara. With their port, they’ll give you a small piece of chocolate. Their tasting room is large and offers a lot of items to purchase. On the weekends for $ 20 you can get 5 tastings and a glass to keep. Their pizza is AMAZING! We come here just for that, and the wine second. The view from the patio is beautiful! Live music outside on the weekend days.

Very nice! We stopped at several tasting rooms in the Temecula area, and this one was my favorite. The atmosphere was definitely the best. It has a tuscan villa sort of feel, and there was a band playing outside which set the mood. Off to one side were several TVs to watch the football games for that day as well. Misters around the seating areas ensured you didn’t get too hot in the sun. We went with a friend that had a VIP membership, so it was all free under his monthly visit allowance. However, I will say that the VIP room was a bit disappointing. It was just a small extra room with a few tables; nothing too fancy about it. The wine selection was great, and the servers were very informative, especially for a wine rookie like me. We will definitely by coming back!

«The Godfather» has maintained its status as an epic movie classic for the past 40 years. What makes this a perennial classic, while Adam Sandler /Drew Barrymore films languish in obscurity? The Godfather isn’t only a «shoot-em-up» about gangster population control. It endures as a quintessential tale of an American immigrant family and the bonds that shape us. After all, the journey of how many of us came to be here began with immigration, through the barriers of poverty, toward assimilation, and finally… hopefully. some measure of success. This was the path of the family of Don Corleone; Francis Ford Coppola; the Barrymores; the Renzonis; my family; and perhaps yours as well. There’s something timeless and universal about being at the Renzoni Vineyard. You are transported back 100 years to Italy’s northern coast. Grandfather Domenic, Federico, Romeo, the sons and daughters, aunts, uncles and cousins gathered around the family dinner«tavola» to enjoy life as it’s meant to be lived. Mama’s minestrone, pasta and homemade bread; vino created from the soil and sunlight outside; singing, dancing, fighting, and long passionate discussions of world events. When you visit the Robert Renzoni Vineyard and Winery you join the«famiglia», and get your own personal place at the table. Every structure, every vineyard block, every recipe, and every wine has a story. You may run into Robert himself, who will unselfishly stop what he is doing to share a chapter or two with you. Discover the history behind the Tuscany-influenced Mama Rosas Trattoria and home-made marinara sauce, Vineyard de Dominico, Julia’s Vineyard, Vineyard de Frederico, Big Fred Red, and the Fiore di Fano. Here you’ll find some of the best food and wine in the valley. And because we’re all famiglia now, sit down at the tavola to enjoy a meal and sing, dance, fight, and discuss world events. It’s an offer you can’t refuse. #WeAreFamiglia #NotAboutWiseGuys #FearTheWeddingSinger

Part three of my wine excursion with friends. Stopped into Robert Renzoni since we were on a roll, but a couple of us needed breaks in between. For this tasting, we were offered five poker chips to trade-in, but I split the tasting with a friend so that we could/would pace ourselves. The entrance is beautiful and green with an overview of the lush vineyards ahead. There’s also a restaurant attached, but we didn’t spend very much time here before hopping to the next location. We tried making conversation with our server here, but she wasn’t having it. Her answers were a bit short, so it wasn’t as enjoyable or educational as our other visits. Here, I got to try Big Fred’s Red(red blend), La Rosa(rose of Sangiovese) and Belissimo. I really wish I could expand on more of their profiles! I believe out of the three though, I really enjoyed the La Rosa, but I’m having difficulty recalling what made it special.

Beautiful vineyard in Temecula with a great selection of wine. You purchase chips and pay for with them for each tasting. I was a bit bummed that you didn’t get to keep the glass though as they’re beautifully made. I stuck around the sweeter wines and purchased a bottle of the moscato di Asti. It is quite on the sweeter side but it is so beautifully made. You can definitely over-drink this white wine. There’s not a lot of «sovereigns» that are fun to buy but why wouldn’t you just get a bottle of di Asti!
