Established in 1992, Vintage Timberworks inventories and supplies reclaimed/recycled lumber, timbers, beams and rustic wood flooring for residential and commercial projects requiring an antique, aged and unique esthetic quality. A fully staffed rustic cottage style showroom and sawmill facility displays and provides samples and information to custom tailor antique wood materials to suit. The company specializes in rustic open beam ceilings, timber trusses, mantles, interior and exterior wall paneling & siding and rustic wood flooring. Full millwork services, hand detailing, truss fabrications, mantle fabrications, structural certifications. The company maintains approximately 1.5 million board feet of reclaimed wood derived from dismantled structures across the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Indonesia.

History

Established in 1992.

The owners formed the company in response to the demand for unique, aged and hand tailored wood work. The partners’ combined 40 years of experience in construction and specialty wood working provides the depth of knowledge and expertise which has led to the companies success over 2 decades. Both owners received degrees in biological sciences resulting in the joint desire to be involved in recycling and reuse.

So, you’re thinking of sprucing up your home with some cool wood from Timberworks?
Buyer beware. They «fumigate», but don’t «treat» for termites, and nothing is guaranteed. We purchased a $ 700 piece of wood as a mantle and 8 months later are spending $ 400 to treat it for termites. It’s disguising.
So, no help from them either. They don’t guarantee their product. You can only hope you aren’t introducing termites into your home…

My wife and i recently purchased some wood that we are going to reclaim ourselves for a mantle. The office staff was very helpful, but The guys in the yard went above and beyond for us, they were super awesome! Very informative and helpful.

I can’t say enough about the great customer service at Vintage Timberworks. I came in with my husband right at closing time and Nikki kept the office open for another half an hour showing us samples and answering all of our questions.
I came in today to pick out and purchase wood for out BBQ island. Jim and Vince helped me pick out the wood I needed. They were both super helpful and even helped me load and cut some of the wood that was too large to transport. I would absolutely recommend Vintage Timberworks to anyone looking for unique reclaimed wood.

We have been to Vintage Timberworks many times and done a lot of business with them. The material is really cool. We love picking up vintage wood for construction/art projects. They are a little off the beaten path from our location but worth the drive all the way out there. A little pricey compared to other vintage timber yards but I think the fact that they gas their pieces for termites/pests before they are sold has something to do with it being a little higher than other places. The administrative staff inside are nice but some of the other staff are hit/miss depending on their mood. They can seem a little cold. Sometimes your treated like you’re getting in the way of their daily business even though you are required to make an appointment. The people that work in the yard want you to re-stack and clean up all wood that you sort, which seems a little over the top to expect the customer to move all the wood around by hand without assistance when they own the heavy equipment. That area of the business could use some improvement. Overall, the experience is okay and worth it for the quality pieces you can find.

I came into their showroom and yard to find a very small piece of wood for a project of mine and could not have asked for better service from a great group of folks for such a small order. Had an appointment this morning at Vintage Timber this morning. Their showroom is stunning.
It was truly fascinating seeing the different applications of the wood. The entire process was exciting! We ended up choosing gray board as an accent wall. I don’t have anything to compare it to but I feel their pricing was fair. I can’t wait to have this beautiful wood up!!!

I have been here several times and their material is really cool.
However, i never feel welcome when i come.
As warm and cozy as the little office in the house feels the staff is the complete opposite.
I am sorry that the other few good reviews got filtered, but i stand by mine.
The guy who drives around in the golf cart is so cold and unfriendly.
The girls in the office are fine but overall there is just an uncomfortable vibe and no one goes out of their way to be extra nice or accommodating. For the crazy prices of the wood, i would expect a little better service.

Haven’t done business with these folks, but the amount of stock they have on hand is impressive, their showroom beautiful, and pictures of the work they’ve done just amazing.
I was looking for barn siding floor, which they have for approximately $ 10/sq ft. Yes, that’s expensive — but the product you get is the real deal and unlike anything you can get anywhere else.
You get what you pay for, folks. I’ll update when I actually buy the flooring and put it in my kitchen. :-)
