Mr Mike’s Pizza Works

The pizza is always good, but I was very disappointed when I received poor service recently from the employees. I was getting a carry out order. One employee is at the counter trying to run a credit card without success. A second employee walks up to watch the first guy. Mind you, no one has even acknowledged my presence. Guy #3 strolls up, then he goes back to the back. Once the credit transaction is finally completed (a good 10 minutes later), suddenly another customer’s order is carried out, Mr 20-​minute-​ordeal-​to-​use-​credit leaves and I am finally acknowledged. No «sorry for the delay» or anything. Just, «pickup or carry out?» Not even a hello. So I said nothing really either. I pay and turn to leave. As I am leaving with my pizza one of the wandering employees walks up and says «oh, well– have a NICE DAY» as if I had annoyed him somehow. Very odd experience and I came in expecting friendly people. Maybe a bad day. But I think I’ll let others go get the pizza from now on…

Very good pizza, not too greasy. Great flavor in the dough. But the highlight was the garlic parmesan wings. Very well cleaned and then deep fried to perfection. It made for a perfect meaty wing with not too much fat or gristle. Good service to for a pizza by the slice joint. I bet the whole pizza to go would be great.

This is some great pizza for a great price! Love it. I go as often as possible. I usually get the huge slice with a drink for $ 3.99 and it’s so much I can’t eat anything after! I never order delivery anymore because it can’t compete with Mr. Mike’s. If you’re in Temple you should definitely try it. I get supreme but it’s all good! Smooches for now!

Have done take out a few timed. Not stingy on toppings, sauce is just right. The crust isn’t my favorite (it’s not thin or thick), but it isn’t bad (my husband loved it!). What is right, though, is the price! Definitely worth the price. And it’s locally owned (as far as I can tell) and therefore is way better than any large chain. So when I’m in the mood for low cost and decent quality pizza, I will order take out from here. Would prefer they use fresh mushrooms, though, instead of canned.

Fantastic pizza and great service! Whether you eat there or have it delivered, no one in town is better than Mr Mikes! The crust is always perfect because they make the dough fresh. The people there are friendly too. That means something in this day and age!

First visit since they moved locations. They are forgiven the lack of beer on tap due to the pizza still being cheap and delicious. Large up to three topping pizza for 6.99 makes my pocket and anyone on the receiving end of a slice happy.
