Hai-En Peng, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Peng was absolutely fantastic. Cannot recommend him enough. Had an in-​office foot procedure the other day. I’m a little squeamish about having someone cut into my feet. He was extremely professional and soothing through the whole process. I felt very comfortable with him. And he did an incredible job! My foot has not felt this good in a long time.

Dr. Peng & the medical assistants were professional & personable. Although my specific issue perplexed Dr. Peng & there was no clear resolution or path to recovery, he was willing & seemingly eager to take on the challenge with respect to my injury & subsequent wound. He was thoughtful & had a sense of humor, which, in the face of a frustrating & debilitating wound, was refreshing. I felt like I had a partner in the process.
However…the reason for the 3 rating is due to the front office staff & the part time billing individual.
In a nutshell, they were consistently apathetic & disorganized in all areas with exception to one: collecting payment at time of service.
The condescending, confrontational & apathetic attitudes of the females at the front desk & in billing fly in the face of what health care is all about.
Ultimately, their apathy & lack of follow through put me in a very difficult position. After working with Dr. Peng for a couple of months to resolve my issue, he decided that surgery was the answer.
Unfortunately, I never received a call to schedule the procedure. I called twice & went in personally to attempt to schedule. Apparently, their scheduler was initially out & then I just fell through the cracks.
Due to the wound status on my foot & the need to take action, I was forced to start all over with a different surgeon & ended up paying the same copays & out of pocket fees all over again.
I would recommend Dr. Peng. However, his front office & billing staff is representative of his overall approach & his patients’ well being, healing & positive attitude & therefore I encourage anyone considering Dr. Peng to determine if the front office is a match prior to delving too deeply into a treatment protocol with this doctor.

I am very satisfied with the treatment I received (and am still getting) from Dr. Peng… I have yet to see anything that would cause me to reward less than 5 stars.
The office is clean and modern, and the staff is friendly. Dr. Peng seems very nice, and was able to quickly diagnose my problem. While some docs are quick to jump to jamming you with some cortisone, his approach appears to be to work on the root cause of the problem.
If you end up needing orthotics, be aware that not all insurance policies will cover this. They make it a point of warning you about the cost before you set foot in the office, which is nice… not as nice as insurance picking up the tab, but still totally appreciated.

there seemed to be a lot of guesswork on dr pengs part as far as my diagnosis was concerned. after custom-​making some orthotics, he failed to inform me to wear them for only an hour a day in order to build up to them. this caused severe foot pain for me within two days. i couldnt even walk. driving a manual car, going to school and working left little time for me to be stuck in a foot cast and getting cortisone shots. the shots provided little relief and he suggested that i try tylenol for the pain. ive got to say, i have a very high threshold for pain and tylenol did not cut it. ive always had an unexplained fear of needles touching my feet… and that fear was realized with the peng.
he has a good bedside manner, though, and one of the girls there is very friendly.
