History
Established in 2012.
Experium Science Academy opened its doors in January 2012 as the first lab-based after-school science program in the South Bay. The Experium «experience» is a hands-on approach to discovering and understanding the world we live in. Experium offers students in grades K-12 a new model for learning — encouraging advanced experimentation and independent research through a fun, supportive, and active approach.
The equipment and instrumentation in our 8000 sq. ft. academy are equivalent to those accessible only in a university or professional laboratory. Each course was designed and written by top PhD’s and scientists in their respective fields. The curriculum focuses on the advancement of student learning and research through education and technological awareness. The founders of Experium wanted to create a space that encourages «open environment learning.» In the midst of the enthusiasm of their fellow scientists and instructors, our students are empowered to imagine and grow.
