Master Tech

Master tech is easily the best mechanic that I have been too. I’ve gone a few times in the past couple months, and each time I’ve gone Herbert has been straight up with me and told me exactly what was wrong and fixed it quick. It all came at an extremely fair price too. I was expecting to hear about a bunch of different problems with my car like what usually happens at a mechanic, but that wasn’t the case here. If you’re looking for someone to really put care into your vehicle and not hit you with a lot of unnecessary fees, master tech is the right place to go.

Looked for info on Unilocal for Help on Smaller imported Cars & Checked out BBB-​Better Business Burial also & had No bad marks at All on there on this Business; So I Called here Spoke to Herbert’ Owner” & I Asked Questions on the Phone last week & the of Work We needed to be Done on «Honda Element my Daughter owns & he Said he Would Have to Look at Car & Made Morning Apt. for this Tuesday & brought it in, Herbert Mentioned what it could maybe be & He said Leave Car so he could Check it out & He may need time to Work on it & that was Fine & to Look at Everything; So He Called Latter Tues.- Afternoon & Said he Found the issue on the Electrical Panel Cluster for Electrical & it Was a Short: Ok So this is Good Someone who listens to Customers & looked around Took the time to Know What it could Be & did Good Help ! & Just be Patient so the Shop can Look for the Proper issue on Your Own Car» & it will be Done Right & Not have to keep paying a lot to Fix a Problem on Car. So Glad to Know that this Honda can Keep on Going & Now we Have a Much Better Mechanic to work on this Car from Now on, & it would Be a Round about price of $$$ 260.00, ”Which is was ok with US.
Because We have Taken the Car in about 4 or 5 times to the Honda-​DEALerShip in Torrance for like 1 ½Yrs & just had the recall on Airbags changed out & they looked at Car & kept it over Night a couple of times in past & they Still Never could Find the Problem? also they told us it could be the Alarm or new car Radio so we took it back to radio installation place & had new Radio taken out to try to see if that would help well it didn’t & Dealership they Wanted Last week $ 550.00 to Look around & take Out whole car dash Panel & then it would be «More costs for Parts at dealership?.
Also Wensday Morning we Called Master Tech before we were going to pick Up car & asked if Herbert could install Car Radio’s & he said Yes, Drove over Dropped of Radio & Herbert said it would be more time to Put in ;
Since it was taken out if there was an issue that the dealership told us & thought.
Herbert made sure Radio was put in Right & car was Running Well & tested it again, Cost was Good for All the work $ 320.00 complete Total & Picked up Car 8:30Am Today, thursday.
Well when when your a budget» you have watch your money & this was Way Better than the Dealership”! 4 times taken in & owe Wow been Waiting for Car to Be Fixed for 1 ½ properly for my Daughters car & So if you Ever NEED HELP CALL HERE & TALK TO HERBERT”” for info on Car Help, he’s listens & can Try to Fix the issue on your Car; Call & Discuss issue & Make an Apt. ahead of Time on Car’ & leave a Message if line is Busy, Since its a Small Business (yet Good Car Maintenance Place)!
Parking is abet Small & Tite here but it’s ok, Since if your just talking for abet & Dropping off Car & Also get a Ride to Pick you Up”; On Hawthorne Blvd, & Near Chicka Fila Resturant can walk there to eat , Main issue Here Knowing my Daughter is Safe in her Car & so very Happy with car working & Radio is Plus”” thanks again for the good work here from Master Tech.

I have a 2003 Toyota Corolla. They repaired my car at a really great price. I had a lot of work that needed to get done. I was provided with a loaner car at no additional price. Trustworthy business. Herbet and his team are great.

This place is the best! I’ve never heard of a car mechanic that has such fast and honest service. Herbert is a really good guy and really cares about every person that comes in as well as every car that is worked on here. I will never come anywhere else to get my car worked on and would recommend anybody to come here if you want good trustable people to do a good and quick job on your car.

I was referred to Herbert at Master Tech from a friend after moving from across the country. I have got to say, this is by far the best place I have ever brought my car. Herbert explained everything in a very clear way so even I could understand. He was incredibly honest in saying we can wait for this, but this can’t wait etc. I didn’t feel like I was taken advantage at all.
I was given about a two hour waiting period for the work on my car, and Herbert walked me out and pointed out a couple of places to eat near by or to enjoy my time instead of sitting in the office. Definitely am going to be coming back, and referring anyone else that needs an incredible service for their car. Thanks again!

I’ve had problems twice with my car in the past 6 months (one engine, and one electrical), and both times I brought my car in here, and the problems were diagnosed and fixed very quickly. Very friendly owner! I will definitely bring my car back here for any future repair needs!

Herbert is the man. I had a Volvo with spark plug and coil issues. He got it fixed in a day and gave me such a good price, I actually felt bad. I’ve never had that feeling leaving an auto shop! He even took care of a headlight while it was there. He’s really passionate about cars and just wants to take care of his customer. I’ve found my new mechanic!

I went to Master Tech because of what I read here. I was not disappointed at all and was very pleased with Herbert’s work. He took the time to explain and show my brakes and rotors and their condition. He seemed very reasonable with his prices and I was glad that he insisted on putting my car’s brand brakes. He also took the time to help with what I did not come in for, how to monitor my oil to see if there is a real problem. I would definitely go back and tell other people I know in the area.

Herbert is a straight up honest guy who took care of my problems.
I had a catalytic converter that needed replacing, which was done at a fair price without issues. I did like how he was able to point out any other issues with the car just so that I am aware. He went on the explain how some stuff you should probably repair soon, and others I can get away with leaving it as it is. Either way, I did not feel like he was trying to sell my something I did not need.
I ran into an incident while my car was at the shop, but he did not hesitate to take care of the issue, and also let me borrow a loaner car, which he did not have to do.
The guy knows his cars, the service was great, and I can definitely see myself returning for any future services.

Last month my Subaru’s radiator broke and was leaking. I called Master Tech, and they didn’t answer the first time, most likely due to being busy. A few minutes later, the owner himself (Herbert) calls back and returns my call. I didn’t leave a message, but he was attentive and nice enough to to call back. And then I ended up making an appointment.
First thing the next morning, my brother and I took it to the shop. Herbert introduced himself and was very polite. Left my car and in a short few hours I get a call saying it was done. My cars radiator was changed and ran as if was brand new. Herbert and the rest of the guys made sure my car needs were catered to. Also friendly and provides good conversation. So if you’re looking for a mechanic in the area, this shop is your go to. You won’t be disappointed.

I never write Unilocal reviews. Herbert’s the man though so I had to. Honest, great price, and really appreciates your business. Took care of my 14 year old explorer and gave me a ton of advice about car buying and selling. Pretty much the best mechanic I’ve ever dealt with. Would highly recommend him.

I tell all my fellow Prius driving friends about this place! Kinda hard to find, I drove past it the first time here. If you’re coming from the Galleria side of Artesia, as soon as you cross 182^nd it’ll be on the right side a few businesses down. They are located in the back behind another building.
Can’t say enough about Herbert. He is extremely honest and personable. I asked him about my battery in my key and he said he’d change it no charge if I bring the battery in. What??? That’s awesome. I can’t tell you how happy I am to find a mechanic I can trust and who wouldn’t even charge a service fee for that.

Went in for just a quote was very pleased on how professional and real they were. Dealer was trying to rip me off master tech save me some $$$. Will definitely bring in my car when for services.

They are located in a lot with several other auto shops. When you turn into the parking lot, they are in the back left corner. The other garages are not Master Tech.

Great experience. From the moment I walked in I felt I had a mechanic in the family. Each customer came and went unworried and confident in the abilities of the Master Tech crew. The finished job went above and beyond, taking before and after pictures of the problem and solution, as well as explaining thoroughly what they did to fix the problems. This visit wasn’t just valued sentimentally, my car is running beautifully.

Had a great time talking with Herbert while my car was worked on. I have a 99 Honda Accord that needed a check up and Herbert gave me a comprehensive list of everything I needed to upgrade/​repair, along with a timetable as to when I should get them taken care of. As someone who knows little about cars I really appreciated this. This shop is efficient and fairly priced, and Herbert is an honest and very friendly individual. I would definitely do business with them again!

I just moved from NY & drove my 2010 Toyota across the country in 4 days. On the way there was an incident with industrial wire lying across the interstate which destroyed my car’s underside. While a Toyota dealer in Illinois was able to get me back on the road, once here I kept hearing an ominous rattling from the rear of the car.
After a test drive, Herbert was right on in his assessment that my muffler & exhaust pipe were hanging from the bottom of the car. Every step of the way Herbert explained what he was doing, even showing me the underside several times. He even did his best to make the burned plastic of my bumper (from the out of place exhaust pipe) look better. This isn’t something he had to do or charged for, he just went above & beyond.
Herbert is affordable, trustworthy, and a funny guy on top of that. He won’t lead you wrong!

I went to see Herbert twice, but he turned me down twice (oil change) cuz he seems so busy and his place is pretty small next to a Star qualified smog inspection station. So he recommended I go to them since I needed a smog certificate for my car also. So I gave him a 3-​star for not making an effort the 2^nd time for my oil change. I suppose you have to be there first thing in the morning. On Saturdays you need to make an appointment.
UPDATE on my review: make an appointment before you go! Herbert thank you for replying but I thought you only need appointments on Saturdays. (Apparently it’s everyday)

It’s true… nicest most honest guy in the business. I’m sold.
I brought in my old workhorse 2004 Honda Accord commuter car for the 120,000 maintenance. Got spark plugs, oil change, tire rotation… etc.
I also asked Herbert to inspect the whole car and look for anything bad.
He was awesome… he had about 6 suggestions on the most detailed things. I was amazed that he noticed little broken knobs and small things like that. I had him fix 4 of the 6 and he really gave me a good price. He gave me a little discount for being a first time customer. Great idea ! It worked on me.
The spark plugs and oil change were fair priced also.
They gained my business for sure. Thanks Herbert !

Just found this place on Unilocal.Had my oil change here. They are very friendly.
They are also helpful which poped my bumper back for free.
Will keep coming back for services.
