Specialties

The CPR Hero Training Center offers American Heart Association (AHA) BLS CPR/​AED Class, Regular CPR for Adult, Child, Infant, and First Aid. Private group classes available.

Our instructors have all taught at a varity of different school/​hospital, including UCLA, Kaiser, American Uni for HS, etc, and we have all taught very big classes. Most students leave not fully comfortable being able to react when CPR is needed.

We only do up to 8 students per class. Once it fills up, that’s it.

All of our students are happy with the student to instructor ratio. On top of that, our manikins are clean and each student given their own barrier device.

We also provide group CPR training to businesses and organizations in the South Bay Area– Torrance, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Palos Verdes, El Segundo, etc.

Established in 2012.

We are a young (and HIP!) company that teaches CPR.

The classes we offer teaches American Heart Association CPR and First Aid.

Lessons include:

Adult, Child and Infant CPR

Use of an AED

Chocking

First Aid

With those classes, there are two types of certifications: Healthcare Professional CPR and regular Heartsaver CPR & First Aid.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for reading my Bio. I am one of the primary instructors for South Bay CPR with CPR certification and CPR classes. I have been working in EMS (emergency medical service) for over 7 years now. I have been teaching CPR/​AED certification for over 6 years now. We have a wide range of students: healthcare professionals like doctors, nurses, medical assistances as well as school/​camp counselors, medical students, volunteers, neighborhood watch, and many more.

I believe CPR, the use of an AED and understanding first aid is one of the most important life skills. You never know when an emergency is going to happen and knowing CPR and the basics of first aid can save a life. I am thankful to be in a position where I can help others save a life.

Jeannie was great! My pregnant wife & I are had the class inside Babies R Us in Cerritos. Jeannie was very detailed and informative. And she made it fun and easy to understand. The 2.5hours went by quick. At the end, we felt very empowered, like we can save the world… like superheroes do ;D Glad we took the class and we highly recommend it to anybody esp parents (or parents to be).

I had to get BLS certified for an internship. I had previously been certified by my certification expired. This class was taught very well, better then the first time I took it with AHA. It was thorough but did not beat a dead horse. The instructors were really jazzed about the subject which made it easier to pay attention. They were very confident in their knowledge and informative. It was all around a great experience.

Awesome instructors! They actually teach you and correct you so you can succeed in performing CPR/​AED, the best part of it is that if you forget you can actually go back and take a refresher class for free within the 2 years of your card. definitely recommend this. I have had multiple CPR courses but this by far kept me the most interested. The instructors were very outgoing and informative. They corrected you when necessary but stayed back and observed everyone. The class went quick and smooth and all was explained well

Incredible! I took my BLS class when I was in California visiting. I was referred to The CPR Hero by a friend and signed up for one of their week night classes. I was amazed when I walked through the doors — everything looked new and modern. The manikins were pristine and I enjoyed cracking them ribs to get a good 2 inches on the depth! My instructor, Vincent, was engaging, knowledgeable, and hilarious. All 6 of us had such a great time as we high fived each other after every «save». I still remember all my ratios and rates — — this is how you learn from a good CPR class. Looking forward to renewing again in 2 years!

I work at a group home for troubled teenagers so I need to get CPR training yearly for my job and I always dread it. I got a class with South Bay CPR Training that my work took care of and I was so happy! It wasn’t boring like it was every other year and I actually feel like I learned something. The other years it was so boring I just learned the basics to get out of there. Now I really feel like I could save a life in many different situations and the kids I work with daily and hold so dear to my heart will be safe with me! I highly recommend them! :)

Daniel was an excellent Instructor. He was very knowledgable, had a lot of patience, was good at describing things in detail and made you feel confident in what you were doing. I was afraid I was going to leave the class overwhelmed and fearful I wouldn’t know how to save someone’s life. But I left feeling I could save someone’s life and do it effectively.

Alright so I took my course here on NYE 2014. My instructor Chris was excellent and knowledgeable. The class is small but clean and appropriately sized for the activity. The medical dummies and equipment were clean as well. The instructor did a good job of seeing where extra practice was needed and spending more time in that area, and moving quickly through the information and skills which we grasped immediately. I would recommend this provider to others.

Just finished my BLS CPR class today. I was dreading doing it, but amazingly found myself engaged once we started. The class was presented in a segmental approach which allowed me to grasp the concepts quickly. The instructor, Richard, presented the concepts well. He quizzed us throughout the training to make sure that we absorbed what he was presenting.
I greatly appreciated that we had our own «dummies» to practice on throughout the training. There was no waiting to take your turn.
The facilities were very comfortable. Class size was small. Personal attention was a plus and they were nice enough to offer complementary refreshments.
Definitely a pleasant experience… Thank you South Bay CPR Training Center!

I need to be CPR certified for one of my classes in the fall, so I had my boyfriend look up places we could go to. It didn’t take him very long to find this place and the best part was that when a second person signs up, it is half off of the original price of $ 50 per person. So instead of paying the full amount, we were able to split the cost and only pay $ 37.50 per person.
I went to class thinking it would be really boring, but it was an interesting experience. The instructor, Richard, made it enjoyable, and since the class size is small, he was able to help each and every one of us without having to rush or anything. The class is set up to be from 8 AM — 12:01 PM, however, we ended at 10:30 AM (which was nice).
If anyone needs to take a CPR class for any reason, I would definitely recommend SBCTC.
