OVER PRICED! No wonder there is never a wait time. How do they stay open when the competition is much lower in price and equal the Customer Service?

Yes they are fast and that is because they have no other clients. The reason is due to their over price on the smoke check. I am assuming all of their work is the same. Very High Pricing!!!

Took my 2000 Honda Civic here. They required that I get my timing adjusted to pass smog, but also told me that I would not pass smog if I got my timing adjusted because of my emissions. So I was in a pickle. Three other smog places told me they would not check the timing on my car.
I called the bureau of automotive repair and ask them. One person said no it does not require timing checked, however another rep said that it did after investigating it for weeks.
So why all the fuss? It turns out that my car has a sticker under the hood that says «no timing adjustment needed». So MOST smog places believe that this means they don’t have to check the timing. Well Great American Smog does believe it has to be checked. They might be doing the right thing here actually. But out of the 6 times my car has been smogged in its DMV history, never was the timing checked. Strange.
But at the end of the day, I wasted valuable time trying to get it smogged at this place, when I could have simply taken it anywhere else.
They were nice and professional up until I attempted to challenge them on this issue. I was hoping that they would educate me on the matter, and tell me why all the other smog places would not check the timing on my 2000 honda, and why they were. Instead, the guy just kept saying «I have been doing this for 12 years». That was all he could tell me.
These kinds of technical issues are not my fault as a consumer… I should not have to be inconvenienced over it.

Not the best place for customer service. I called to discuss the results of my car’s smog check & the guy assured me that there isn’t a problem with the equipment by saying «we use a machine, it’s not like we stick our noses down there.» I told him I didn’t appreciate his sarcasm & that for future reference for better customer service, he better not use that line on customers. Assured him that I will never use their center again.
