False/​Miss leading advertisements! Piss poor preparation for our rental time! Seriously neglected, or didnt care about our experience!
We arrived at our «cabin close to amenities» to find that the pool/​spa/​KIDS PLAYGROUND/​golf/​everything was about 1.5 miles away and you have to PAY FOR ADMISSION!
THAT’S RIGHT, THE POOL/​SPA/​PLAYGROUND/​ETC COST 8 $/​HEAD REGARDLESS OF YOUR CABIN RENTAL!!! PLUS, IF YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE GOING TO HAVE A DRINK, AND HIT THE SPA TONIGHT — — NOPE! (That wasn’t in the brochure) — YOUR DRIVING, AND IT CLOSES, SO NO SPA DRINKS!!!
DID YOU THINK YOUR KIDS COULD PLAY ON THE JUNGLE GYM WHILE YOU RELAX? — NOPE. you need to go pay 8 $ and wait with them just like at home (except parks at home are free)
This should be illegal to do to people! There web site clearly says that amenities are nearby. (usually this means a bit of a walk, not a 10 minute drive) –SHAME ON THIS BS COMPANY!!!
THE ABOVE IS JUST THE FALSE ADVERTISEMENT ISSUES, BELOW WAS OUR CABIN EXPERIENCE
Our cabin was mostly nice. They had just bought this and renovated it. Check in was at 4pm. here is what happened…
we show up at 5pm, then a few minutes later a guy shows up to install our cable. While he was there we noticed that there is NO BBQ AT ALL, (The ad says there was a propane BBQ), so this maintenance guy installs the cable. then then leaves for 2 hours and comes back with a new BBQ, and a new DVD player (O-​Yeah, we had to demand that too. they advertised a DVD[player, but NOPE), so anyway he drops the BBQ out front, and brings a DVD player in a box… (YUP, LEAVES IT IN THE BOX, DOESNT HOOK IT UP)
The bbq was left in the front, and not hooked up right. So we had to move it into the back porch where it was supposed to be, (we had to remove a slider to get it to fit) then set it up, and burn off the new grill. (Didn’t feel much like vacation)
There was no plug for the DVD player, so it sat in the box. (Probably why he left it for us)
There was a horseshoe pit with NO HORSE SHOES (Dude said he would bring some but never did)
There were only 2 chairs for the porch, so we had to get a bunch of camping chairs for us to have a place to f-​ing sit!
Most cabins have some common items such as foil, plastic wrap, salt, pepper, etc. well NOPE not this one. so we had to buy every single thing we would need. (and forgot most stuff)
For breakfast there was a coffee pot with EXTREMELY OLD water in it, that was impossible to clean without vinegar or something. so — NO COFFEE IN THE MORNING– had to drive 3 miles to Starbucks.
There was a brand new boiling pot (sticker still on bottom) that was left on the stove with water in it. The water in it had A BLACK floating mass of unknown origin. It was so disturbing that we could not fathom trusting water boiled in it, even after cleaning.
The toilet seat in the hall bath has OLD POOP stuck to the back, that we could not even remove unless we had a chisel! The seat had SO MUCH PEE ON IT that it was swollen all around!!! (They spend a bunch of money buying new stuff for this newly obtained cabin, but left a gross old toilet seat!!!)
ALL THE BEDS WERE CRAP! even the kids bunks were so flimsy that they were barely trust able! Probably $ 199 bed specials all around. They did have some nice blankets, but the sleeping sucked BAD! All 3 kids were complaining! 1 of them opted to sleep on the floor on the 2^nd night. I slept on the couch. it was more comfortable!
BUT THE STRAW THAT BROKE THIS CAMELS BACK WAS A HORRIBLE TV REMOTE!!! NO GUIDE, NO SIMPLICITY, ITS LIKE BEING IN THE 80’S AGAIN! FLIP THROUGH 1 CHANNEL AT A TIME!!! — THERE SHOULD BE A LAW!
This would be a nice cabin to own, but its a shitty vacation cabin!!!

Terrible horrible stay. The cabin i rented had no curtains we called for help over and over but we couldn’t get any. We parked way down the hill to a bunch of icy stairs with no house number we guessed it. Finally we found the property left our children alone in the rough rug and no curtain home with steps so steep a small child or adult could trip and fall over hard. We got some luggage out of the car and some groceries enough for the night back up. In the morning we went back to get the rest of our belongings leaving my children to have breakfast on our way back from the car i see a snoopy house keeper walking around scaring my kids … Ugh what a nightmare no one cared i never found anyone to complain to no one is in charge i got no money back

It bothers me to write such a poor review but I have no choice. We rented a condo for one week during the ski season in 2014 and were very disappointed. There was mice dung in the kitchen cabinets, fleas in the bed & carpets and driving home there was a cockroach on the inside of my windshield which I believe came from the condo.
I called Nick Pullen two times to express my concerns and he did not return my call.

We use Pullen Realty to manage and rent our vacation rental in Tahoe Donner. They have been truly excellent in both results and professionalism. We had used another company with very poor results (5 rentals in a year) and had tried to chalk it up to a bad snow year; but on switching to Pullen (and another not great snow year), we’ve already had 20+ rentals this year, with more booked for the late summer/​fall. They came in and took professional photos of our place that showed off the actual attributes of the house (rather than hiding them in bad lighting) and have made our listing much more accessible. They have been exceptionally professional and responsive to our needs. So glad we made the switch.

These guys are really great! We rented a wonderful place in Truckee. The house was in great condition. Rental instructions were clear and concise but what really makes Pullen stand above the rest is the prompt and professional manner in which that responded to a minor hiccup related to a cleaning issue. Pullen took complete ownership of resolving the problem. (Thanks Buff). We will definitely use Pullen again for both our summer and winter Tahoe getaways.

I rented from Pullen Rental Group this year in January after the New Year’s holiday. I found the property I rented to be in pristine condition. As a frequent renter of high end luxury properties I consider myself to be a good judge of a property’s condition. The property was in excellent condition, I could tell that it was being well maintained, the welcome kit for the renters was an excellent resource and the house was perfect! The property came with lots of extras like spices, cooking ingredients, laundry materials, etc in short many items that usually a renter has to go out and buy. There was also a welcome kit from Pullen that included lots of goodies! I definitely appreciated all of their efforts!

We were disappointed by how we were treated when we rented a high-​end luxury property through Pullen in April 2012. The kitchen had major appliance problems that were «patched» before our arrival, and blew up during our first night there. Although they repaired it the next day, we had a massive sink/​dishwasher/​disposal mess in the
middle of our vacation/​family dinner to deal with. Although they assured us they
would propose something that would meet our agreement as compensation, we chased them for almost a month to even get an answer which essentially was «Sorry, nothing is due and we are not refunding the $ 250 cleaning fee we charged you.» So please use one of the other professional and responsive agencies in the area when renting a luxury property and avoid Pullen.
