Karabu Pet Grooming

We moved to Tucson in late August and were desperate to find a good groomer. After doing a little research on Unilocal,we had to try Karabu. We have taken our goldendoodle pup here 3 times and can’t imagine going anywhere else. They take their time with her while she is getting used the the drying. She loves this place so much that I can barely contain her once she is out of the car.

They did a great job with my very matted cat. They took their time with her and she did not seem stressed out when I picked her up. Good people and very nice! We will be back.

Just took my little pup here the other day, and they did a great job! Would highly recommend. They call all dogs by their names and treat them nicely. My pup definitely had a good visit l!

This is the second time that I took my mini Aussie for a puppy cut. They do a wonderful job. When you go in it is very clean and a calm zen atmosphere. It keeps my very excitable Bella calm. Karabu is easy to get to and park.
Just a small aside the outside is very plain don’t be put off. You won’t be disappointed, I am very picky.

Karabu is absolutely the best place to get your dog groomed! I’ve been taking Shakira here for over a year now and am thrilled every time. The people are really friendly and take great care of my pup. To top it all off, the price is unbeatable! I will never take my dog any where else!

We’ve been taking our fur child to Karabu for two years now. When we moved to Tucson, I looked up pet groomers on Unilocal and this place popped up. Unilocal was absolutely right!
They treat us like family, always asking how our young son is. They are so incredibly kind and friendly and most importantly they LOVE our dog.
They listen to what we want for her haircuts and give us excellent feedback on how she behaved during her visits.
It’s a quaint, super clean shop and the entire staff is friendly.

Wow. Unilocal did not lead my astray with this one! I usually groom my parents’ dogs myself, but I hadn’t gotten around to it for a little while, and one of them, Waffles, was just going to be too much work for me to deal with in the kiddie pool in the backyard. I Unilocaled dog groomers, and these guys were the top of the list. I called and Patrick was able to get me in for the next day.
I picked up Waffles, and drove on over. While pulling up, I wasn’t super sure about this place. I was planning an escape. But then I remembered hearing the groomers in the background while I was making the appointment, and how nice and happy they sounded, and the reviews, and I went on in.
It’s a small place, but it’s really clean! The groomer came out, got our info, gave me a magnet and said he would be done around five. I went back in at five, and saw a really cute dog in the kennel in the front. I remarked to myself that he was a cutie and wondered what kind of dog he was. Then I realized he was my dog! (And we have not even an iota of an inkling of what breed he is!) They groomed him so well!
He was clean, soft, and actually styled for the first time since we found him in the desert and had him groomed. They even put a cute little bow on him, expressed his glands, did his nails… my dog got the works for $ 45. They gave me some treats to bring home with us and a $ 5 off coupon for next time, too.
This place is a classic «don’t judge a book by it’s cover, or a grooming salon by it’s exterior» situation. I was so glad that I didn’t flee and actually stuck it out, because Waffles looks awesome, and was clearly pretty happy after his day of pampering!

Simply awesome! I went here off recommendations received from SEVERAL people at my work, and boy am I glad I listened! Everyone there is super sweet and friendly and not only that they did an EXCELLENT job on my pup and she LOVED them (and their treats — lol)… We just got her nails trimmed today, and they are nice and short (plus they dremmel (file) them after clipping, so you aren’t left with sharp «claw» nails — they are nice and smooth PLUS they even remembered her dew claws! (I forgot to mention it before she went back, and you’d be amazed at the number of places that forget them). On top of everything, their prices are VERY reasonable, and all the other pups there seemed just as comfortable as mine — which is always a good sign :) Thank you for the excellent service, we will definitely be back!

I read the reviews and they were RIGHT, what a great place. I was welcomed by the team, who listened and made sure they understood my needs. They were careful not to over promise. I was so pleased with the results, my shih-​tzu and Cairns looked great and were happy.
I will be going back and feel confident that they will be able to keep up the quality of care they have shown so far. Great job Karabu, thanks.

After reading all the reviews I decided to take my dog here and it’s safe to say I’ll always go here for dog grooming. They did an amazing job and the prices were extremely reasonable. From the moment I walked in I knew she was in good hands. I will recommend this place to everyone with a pet.

I took my husky/​lab in for a bath and shave. They gave him the best shave he has ever received and he knew he looked good. He gets nervous going in to the groomers if there are very many animals in the waiting area and there were several. They were great about talking to him and making him comfortable before taking him back. He has a sensitive tummy so I brought a couple treats at home for them to use instead of theirs. They were great about that as well.
On the phone they gave me a very general quote but I expect that for his breed as they don’t know what kind of fur he has until I bring him in. When I brought him in they gave me a price before they started and it was extremely reasonable.
We will definitely be returning again!

I took my dog to this groomers based on all the wonderful Unilocal reviews and to be honest, I wasn’t totally impressed. The man checking my dog in seemed less than thrilled that I was there 10 mins early for my appointment. As a new customer, I was expecting to provide proof of vaccines for my dog, but was never asked. This concerns me as I don’t know if any of the other dogs have updated vaccines. Now don’t get me wrong, they did a great job & my dog looks wonderful and very clean. It’s just that my total was $ 60 for the same service I would pay $ 45 for at the groomers in the city I just moved from. Maybe dog grooming is more expensive in Tucson? Like I said, they did a great job with my dog, but I wouldn’t say it’s a 5 star place.

The only place I take my little guy to get groomed. The staff is friendly and really willing to take care of your dog. My dog was terrified of getting groomed, but they worked with him and take their time to make sure he’s comfortable and at ease. Cheaper than most grooming places, including Petco and Pet Smart (where I’ll never return, but that’s a different review). Just make sure you book ahead of time, they definitely can get busy.

Best groomer in tucson. We have 3 little dogs, and they love it there. Friendly family run business. As a fellow small business owner, I really appreciate all they do.
Do yourself a favor if you have any dogs, switch them here — your pooches will be forever thankful.

After reading all of the other reviews, I decided to take my chiweenie here for his first professional cut. The building is small and I probably wouldn’t have noticed it just driving down Grant, but I’m so glad I found it! They were fantastic with scheduling, even when I called shortly after to reschedule the appointment for the following day. The staff are all very nice and really seem to care about their business and their clients. My dog is pretty spoiled and usually has a hard time being away from me, but even he felt that he was in good hands.
On top of that, the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this place! I know we’ll be back.

These groomers do excellent work and are great with the animals. I take 2 dogs and a cat to them for their grooming. Their attention to detail for the dogs set them apart from places like Petsmart (which constantly forgets to trim my dogs’ nails). What really impressed me about Karabu was how well they handled my cat’s grooming! She’s a long hair cat and spends a lot of time outside. When it gets warmer out her coat gets very matted so she gets a lion cut every spring. The people at Karabu were so gentle they were almost able to coax her out of her carrier! I have never seen her so comfortable away from home. I loved what they did with her cut and how much they tried to ease her anxiety. I can’t imagine finding a better place anymore.

Nobody in Tucson does a better job than Cara in grooming my cocker spaniel exactly the way I like him to look, and nobody shows more care and love for the pets she grooms or the customers she serves. She has been grooming my cocker spaniels for most of the last ten years, and I could not recommend her more highly than I do.

These people are angels! My dog has a bit of fear, anxiety, and anger when it comes to haircuts and vet offices. They cater to him like you wouldn’t believe. They even helped me find reputable help to assist my dog working through problems. I love it here. I would drive from any distance to come see them! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED :-)

I first read all the reviews on Unilocal and Karabu did not have one bad review. We live 45 minutes away but we love our Bella so I decided to give them a try. I first called and the gentlemen who answered was very nice. We just moved to Tucson and we usually take our dog to Petco.
They did an awesome job. I am posting a picture to show how much detail they did on her. The price is right and the staff is very friendly and they treated our dog nice. They did exactly what we wanted.
