What a wonderful place! I needed a battery for my son’s watch and had no idea where to go, so of course I googled «watch repair Tucson,» which lead me to Unilocal.Based on Unilocal reviews, I decided to try this shop, as it was near where I work downtown and would be on my way home. I had a hard time finding it (it does not face Broadway, but if you are heading east on Broadway and make a right on Norris, it will be on your left in a small building that sort of looks like a motel), but once I found the shop I was so glad that I did. Eddie was super friendly, definitely one of the nicest people I’ve ever encountered in a customer service situation in Tucson, and he quickly fixed my son’s watch. I was prepared to pay much more than the $ 9 he charged me, so not only was it great service, it was also a great price! I will definitely be recommending this shop to everyone I know and will certainly return if I have other watches or jewelry that needs a repair.

Amazing! I’ve had some pieces of jewelry that I love but have not been able to enjoy because I lost the backs to some earnings and had a broken necklace. I had never felt comfortable to take them anywhere but after my family talked so highly of Eddie at Tremendez jewelry repair I finally decided to take the chance and get my items repaired. I was welcomed by Eddie and he explained exactly what he was going to do and in a few days all my items were repaired and looked just as beautiful as the day I bought them. He even cleaned my jewelry with great care and detail. I will defiantly be going back and sending everyone his way. I’m very thankful to get to enjoy my jewelry again.

Eddie is awesome. He figured out that the other Mall watch repair shop had put in the wrong battery. He ordered the new battery and kept his promise of delivery. He even cleaned my watch! I know where I’m going for all my jewelry repair needs! Thanks Eddie!

Eddie is the best! He did a fabulous job replacing stones in my ring. Beautiful stones and great workmanship. He did such a great job that I brought him a antique clock that I was told could not be fixed by another jeweler just to have him look at it. He called me within a week to tell me what a great clock it was and that he had it running. I am thrilled with everything he has done for us. Being new to Tucson I am so glad we found him on Unilocal.He is now our ‘Steady Eddie’ for all our jewelry needs.

Eddie is the nicest guy you’ll ever meet. Came in his shop to cut some links off a watch and replace a battery. Was a reasonable price as well!

I had 3 wrist watches repaired by Eddie and he did a great job. 2 of the 3 were over 60 years old and he managed to bring them back to life with TLC and very reasonable prices.
A little hard to locate, but worth the effort.

Eddie Mendez is a craftsman first class… and a very honest one as well. Called about a crown on a Breitling watch and he explained exactly what had to be done. Dropped it off and received a WRITTEN text quote within 3 hours and a phone call to let me know he could order the parts immediately for quick service. Great job, friendly environment and a place I know I can return to.
Only accepts cash or check but let’s you know ahead of time. No surprises!

Eddie was amazing. He fixed my mother’s antique watch in less than 24 hours. He was thoughtful and intent on making sure the watch maintained its original look despite needing new parts. I highly recommend this shop. Eddie is a fantastic craftsman!

I needed a battery replaced in my Timex wrist watch. I called ahead and spoke to the owner. He said he would be open late that night so I drove over and with a little searching, found the small shop.
He replaced my watch battery while I waited. We ended up talking for a half hour about a personal project of mine. It was a pleasant experience and in my opinion, deserves five stars.
The watch works great once again.

This is the only place I will ever go for my watch and jewelry repair needs. Unilocal reviews led me here and trust me– the reviews understate the quality of this shop. My wife bought me a Soviet-​era watch off of Etsy, I believe from Ukraine. There were a few things wrong with the mechanics of it, and I needed a few holes added to the strap. Eddie fixed everything as promised, but he also taught me about the watch I had. He is a true expert of his craft. I have a beautifully restored wind-​up Russian watch from a historically significant company, and I wouldn’t have known that if not for Eddie. He even sent personal texts to update me on his progress with my watch. Thank you!

Support a local independently owned business and take your watch or jewelry to Eddie at Tremendez. Very fast work, very reasonable prices. There’s a reason he has the top ratings here at Unilocal because he’s the best in town.

This is the kind of business you stumble upon and then curse yourself for not finding it sooner! 14 watches repaired later, including two vintage watches from the 60’s, I am a huge fan of Tremendez! Eddie is the kind of guy you could trust with your most valuable watch and not lose any sleep over it. I cannot be more direct — if you need a watch repaired or restored and you take it anywhere else, you are a fool! Don’t take that personally though, just my two cents…

I stopped by to estimate my girlfriend’s ring-​size (using some rings she kept in a box), and Eddie was helpful and clearly experienced. Later, after I proposed, we stopped by for him to make a quick tweak on the ring, @ no charge!

Eddie re-​tipped my 17 year old engagement ring; resized my star sapphire; and repaired a silver anklet all for such a reasonable price I was so pleasantly surprised. As if that was not enough, he advised me on some vintage Navy jewelry pieces I thought were junk… turns out they are valuable… and collectable! Then to add more to my delight, he went one more step and cleaned all of the pieces including my wedding band and anniversary ring all at no charge. All of the pieces look better than brand new! Top it all off with quality, friendliness and same-day-service…WOW.
I found not only a trusted professional true to his word, but feel like I made a new friend today — especially after the husband and Eddie bonded over VW bugs! What a great experience — absolutely will be back and RECOMMEND HIM VERY HIGHLY!

Eddie was the nicest guy on the planet! I had bought a watch from a thrift store upstate while visiting my grandparents a few weeks ago and needed to get a link fix as well as a battery replacement. I called ahead of time to get directions to find the shop (around the other side of the Cricket store, lots of parking out back.) as well as a rough quote from him. The quote was definitely reasonable so I found the shop and brought it to him where he adjusted the quote even lower! I gave him the watch and he managed to have it together after no more than an hour and a half. I picked it up and not only had he cleaned it, repaired it, and put in a new battery, he also set the time! It’s the little things. The rest of his jewelry on sale was beautiful and reasonably priced! Definitely recommend coming by and you’ll find yourself a lifelong customer.

Eddie is exactly the type of guy I imagine my great-​great-​grandfather would have enlisted for help after his stopwatch died. He reads as very trusting and family oriented, and a true Tucson native.

I had never heard about his establishment before stopping in. I found that he had a listing on Unilocal… but he didn’t have any reviews or photos or tips. Steep risk, I thought, but there was absolutely no way I was going to set foot in a mall or visit a big-​name jeweler.
I’m glad I took the chance.
Eddie has a very small, nondescript and antique-​y type of shop. He offers watch and jewelry repair, and works with gold, silver, etc. He also does custom work. He will also resize rings and remount. Inspection and cleaning services are free here.
I am not certain how long he has been at this particular location, which is at the very back of what looks like apartments converted into small businesses. Protip: Do not park in that tiny lot off of Broadway Boulevard. Go to the back and you will find ample parking.
Apparently, Eddie has been in the business for more than three decades. He was born and raised here, and also trained in his craft in Tucson by his father! Pretty cool. And there were a couple of things in there that I imagined hadn’t been touched or moved since they had been placed.
I arrived with my Citizen watch, one that I’ve had for 10 years. This watch is very dear and quite special to me. Of all of my possessions, it is among my most protected, actually because it was such a special gift.
I had to leave it with Eddie because it has a highly specialized battery, which he had to track down. Turns out he ended up having it shipped directly from Japan. He and I had never met, and I didn’t want to leave the watch.
But I could tell from his eyes and energy that I could trust him. It was automatic. I rarely feel this way about a person on a first meeting, so I left the watch behind.
The watch was ready after a week. Took a bit longer than expected, but Eddie was very communicative, sending me text messages along the way to let me know about the progress. I appreciated that. He even buttered me up a couple of days before I picked up the watch, telling me that it was ready and «beautiful.»
I was shocked when I saw it! It looks almost brand new! It felt like I was receiving it for the first time again. Except for a couple of deep scratches it’s endured over it’s decade, the watch is pristine. He also cleaned the interior and exterior and replaced the faceplate, or crystal, which gives the impression that the watch is nearly right off the factory line.
If I had a mound of broken watches and jewelry, I would take the entire lot to Eddie.
He’s earned my trust.
