Wax Werks is the only Salon in Tucson dedicated to Body Waxing, we use only the gentlest hard wax for delicate areas, brazilians, bikinis, face and underarms — no strip wax for these areas, only the best for our clients.

Brows to Brazilians, we specialize in all waxing in our quaint, private, quiet facility located in the Sam Hughes area.

Wax Werks Waxing Salon also specializes in Facial Waxing, arms, legs, bikini and backs and chests for men. We also do ear waxing, nose and under arm.

Eyelash and Eyebrow tinting is also a speciality at Wax Werks Waxing Salon.

History

Established in 2010.

Wax Werks Waxing Salon is new to Tucson, just opening in the middle of May 2010.

I am originally from Chicago, then moved to San Francisco/​Bay Area for 14 years and have now resided in Tucson for 16 years.

I was a Realtor for 23 years and designed Children’s Clothing Line called Fancy Pants and had a botique in Redwood City before becoming an Aesthetician here in Tucson.

I really enjoy waxing and decided to specialize in that after I finished school almost 4 years ago.

I have had two different people wax my eyebrows here several times and both are great. They really take their time and make sure to not miss any stray hairs. I am the type of person who gets all of my hair/​beauty appointments taken care of through groupon or other discount sites, but tried this place out because I was in a hurry one time and will not go anywhere else anymore. The cost is more than I usually spend but reasonable and worth it ($ 17). I actually can go longer in between waxing without my brows getting out of control than I could at other places. The staff are friendly and basically there’s nothing not to like. I definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Just had an excellent bikini wax experience with Tessa. I would highly recommend Wax Werks!
The aesthetician is very sweet and easy to talk with. They use hard wax rather than strips here. Unlike at the big name corporate wax centers, she took her time to make sure I was at ease with the temperate of the wax and prepared for the speed of the pulls. The ceiling has a Where’s Waldo poster to help remove your focus and they openly encourage you to use your phone to distract from the pain. Pricing is reasonable at $ 50 ($ 45 if you return in four weeks). The facility is really cute and clean. They also gave me a free exfoliating glove!

As read in my previous review, my first experience here was awful. However, I have recently started coming here again because I now live even closer to this place than before, and having my wax place be walking distance from me was too tempting.
I have come to the conclusion that my one bad experience was probably a fluke. I have been coming to these girls consistently for the past couple of months and I love it. I have tried several employees and they all do a great job every single time. Plus, the place is super cute and there are candy bowls with chocolate in each room. What else could I ask for?

This is my favorite wax place in Tucson by far! I’ve been to multiple employees there for eyebrow waxes and they are always so friendly. Another benefit is they really take their time and pay attention to detail. It feels like you’re in somebody’s home because it is so cozy there. Love this place!

Vanessa did an amazing job waxing my eyebrows! The wax that they use is awesome (strip less?) and doesn’t hurt. They texted me for confirmation and as a reminder, which I really like and prefer. If I ever get brave enough for a bikini wax, I know where I will be going!

Martha and her whole team are fabulous! All wonderfully kind people and very talented aestheticians. They use hard wax, which is so much less painful and all-​around more comfortable than that soft sticky stuff that most places use. Martha always does her best to fit me in when things are busy. A fabulous local salon in every way! The prices are maybe a touch higher than your average Tucson joint, but it is worth it.

Martha at Wax Werks was great. Just went for my first waxing in a while and she was friendly, professional and funny. The place was clean and the waxing (bikini) was surprisingly not painful. She also did a great job on my brows and the price was very reasonable. I will be going back!

I went to wax werks monthly for my face wax. I was always nervous doing a face wax and I had bad experiences in other salons. Wax werks uses a different type of hard wax that works very well on the face. My skin would glow and never peel afterwards. I loved this place. Unfortunately I had to move :(

I was referred by a coworker to wax werks and read several positive reviews about their customer service
Hannah answered the phone call when i called at 1pm and was able to get me in at 3:30 due to a cancelation. I was SO nervous to get a Brazilian wax, but Vanessa did an awesome job. She didn’t try and make it seem like it was no big deal. She told me what to expect, answered my questions and walked me through everything! She told me how much one area would hurt compared to another, I can’t say enough about how great the experience was. I honestly don’t understand the bad reviews on here.

Let’s face it: a Brazilian is not meant to be as relaxing or enjoyable an experience as having a cocktail or taking a stroll through Paris and yet somehow the wonderful ladies of this establishment managed to make it surprisingly pleasant! It takes a special kind of person to put you at ease when your nether regions are unceremoniously exposed, lemme tell ya.
Empathetic, sweet and completely calm, both Martha and Hannah were wonderful to deal with. Instead of dreading my next appointment, I’m actually looking forward to it!

Great personalized service. I came in for a Brazilian… as a guy this is not something every salon can & will do well. Made an appointment, the owner was fantastic in her work. Pain wasn’t bad, she expertly distracted me with great conversation. The price was a good value and very happy with the end results.

This really is THE place in Tucson for a quality, lasting, professional wax. That’s all they do here so they’re very good at it.
I can text Martha on Friday to book a Saturday appointment and I get a prompt response and the appointment.
Hannah is absolutely fantastic (how does she remember the silly story I told her about my job last time I was here?). Very gentle and empathetic.
Will never go anywhere else!!!

Hannah, my bikini waxer, is always beautiful, polite, friendly and most important– PROFESSIONAL and FAST. It doesn’t hurt and lasts weeks.
They use great quality wax, never double-​dip or re-​melt (gross!). The facility itself is always very clean and VERY charming. They even have personal little towelettes in the bathroom. I really think this is the best waxing in Tucson. Really!

I just came home from my appointment today and I am very happy! I absolutely love the ladies down at Wax Werks. They are so sweet and welcoming. I just moved to Tucson about a month ago and was nervous I could not find a suitable waxing salon compared to my hometown. I actually prefer Wax Werks to the waxing salon back home that I have been going to for years. I can’t stress enough how amazing the ladies are there. Thank you Martha and Hannah for such great service.

I don’t want to sound mean, but someone has to say it. I have been getting full brazilians for years, and recently moved and tried this place. I read reviews, shop looked decent and price was reasonable. The first time I went I had Martha. It was almost painless, I was impressed. Until about 2 days later when hair was growing back. So I called and she had me come back after 2 weeks for a follow up. It was a different girl this time. She did the wax and within a few days I was broken out with red bumps and (I am not exaggerating) at least 35 – 40 in grown hairs. All over my inner thighs, butt, ever where! It was horrible. They clearly don’t use the right wax/​temperature or something. But omg! I will never go back. It has caused me so much pain and irritation and a lot of effort to fix the mess down there.

Worst experience ever!!!
It’s so unsanitary to have a dog in your salon and I’m sure it’s breaking quite a few health codes.
I was in excruciating pain for my entire Brazilian service (which has hurt significantly less elsewhere) and she even told me and my friend we were her worst clients ever.
