Horrible hotel glad I was only in it to sleep. Nothing good to say about it, the non smoking room smelled of smoke. The shower was cracked and chipping away the shower head was full of lime and rusty. Feet got dirty walking in the carpet this place is in need of some renovations.

Place is super clean n resourceful. Microwave, mini fridge, iron with ironing board, n for us ladies a hairdryer… a great surprise for the low price I paid (online booking). Extremely satisfied considering booking week rate.

I gave them 1 star because their room carpets are dirty. If u order room service don’t over tip if by yourself. Men look in your room and try to sleep with u. I been here for less than a week and they say they are out of soap. And u have to go to big lots. If you are paying $ 144 a for 2 nights then you should get a bar of soap. Meanwhile the housekeeping is terrible. Housekeeping does not communicate with the front desk. If u have a man with you, than you are fine. How does a hotel at the front desk supposedly run out of soap 4 all rooms? They are racist toward certain people. If you are in the 1^st building then get used to women and men yelling at each other at 2 – 2:30 in the morning. You get a lot of addicts and prostitutes here.

Frightening is one way to describe my stay here… Wish I could give no stars. I was here with my boyfriend for 4 nights while visiting LA. We figured we wouldn’t be spending much time here so we just wanted cheap. Well we definitely got what we paid for.
Upon checking in, they said there was no reservation and told us there was no rooms available. After showing the front desk an email of our confirmation emails through Expedia, he somehow found a room for us and charged us. However, he charged us 77 dollars more than what we agreed to pay online. After showing him the email AGAIN he refunded my boyfriend the money.
We got into our room on the first floor and it was extremely humid, hard to breath almost and the window doesn’t open. There was sticky stains on the bed side table, the floors feel wet/​sticky, there was no hand soap or shampoos in the bathroom, and minimal hand towels. Upon pulling back the sheets we found stains on the bed so we went to Walmart and purchased our own bedding to use instead. Ridiculous. As if that wasn’t outrageous enough, we called multiple times to have towels, and more trash bags brought to our room and the cleaners only came one time. In that time I’m not sure they cleaned anything at all, maybe just ran a wet towel through the counters and replaced some towels. One morning when I got up to shower, I grabbed my towel from over the shower curtain and a COCKROACH the size of my hand fell off. I screamed until my boyfriend came in and shook it off for me, rinsing it down the drain.
There continued to be gnats, and other small bugs around the room for the rest of our stay. There were sketchy people constantly hanging around and smoking, homeless digging through the trash, and a woman who looked to be some sort of cracked out hooker/​drug slinger was walking around every time we left to go explore LA. The last night we were there we were both woken up at 6am to a woman and a man fighting and slamming doors. Went on for about a half hour.
Overall I did not feel safe here. More than likely a drug/​prostitute front. Dirty and disgusting and terrible staff. Should be shut down. After reading the review about the crime scene and the loud sketchy people, it doesn’t surprise me at all. I sort of assumed people had been killed here before.

Okay, the floor looks very clean, I give them that. Maybe that’s where I should sleep since my sheet has a huge stain. I’m gonna think it’s coffee. Really, I can see the brown tint if I squint. It’s midnight and my next door neighbors are enjoying loud music on their TV. Everything smells of marijuana. The smell is coming straight from the A/​C. The Reset Filter light gives a hint why the smell is not staying outside where some shady people are producing it. But at least I saved some money. Serves me right for being so cheap.

This place wasn’t all that bad for what I payed for. I payed about 67 $ to stay here for one night. Me and my bf wanted to go to Disneyland spontaneously and quickly needed a place to stay. We didn’t want to pay more than 100 $ just for a place to sleep. Anyways, outside It looked pretty ghetto, and we had people next door smoking pot outside. They were also very loud at night! I can’t really complain about the service or room for the price we paid. But the door knob for the bathroom was broken, my bf found an old lipstick next to the bed, our refrigerator didn’t work, and my bf had to call and ask for an iron (which they said they already had in the room). The service wasn’t too bad and the stay wasn’t either. The bed was clean and comfortable, my shower water was just as hot as I like it, and I felt my stay there was alright.

This hotel doesn’t deserve one star. I booked the hotel through Southwest Airlines for my one week business trip with the expectation that I would be safe. My flight arrived late and I arrive at the hotel after midnight. The hotel lost my reservation, didn’t seem to care, the key didn’t work, people lurked around who were obviously not business travelers, and it’s right by intersecting freeways, so it was noisy. But it was too late to find other accommodations and I don’t know the area. In the morning I got into the shower and heard screaming and someone knocking on the door next door. I didn’t know it was the police, because I was afraid to on pen my door and investigate. I got ready for work, packed up and when I left my room, and there were 3 police officers, yellow tape, three police cars, a crime scene investigator unit and they were digging in the garbage dumpster. I looked at the police officer and he asked me where I was from and if I was on a business trip. I told him and them he said, «You need to leave this hotel now and find other accommodations. This hotel is known for drugs, rapes, shootings, and bad people. A crime was committed in the room next door.» He gave me his business card in case I needed help. I was shaking yet glad I had not been shot while in the shower. Since I booked a week at this hotel in advance, I called Southwest Airlines who called Key Inn to request a refund the remainder of my trip and they denied the crime, and refused to give me a refund. It took 5 calls over 2 weeks to Southwest customer service and the hotel manager to get a portion of the reservation back. I had to pay for Additional accommodations that week and Orange County is very expensive. The photos and reviews on Southwest website didn’t indicate that the hotel is a sleazy motel and that bad. Tustin, CA itself is not a bad city.

The experience I had at this establishment was extremely unpleasant and I honestly wish I could give no stars. That being said, I’m going to try my best to write this review trying to remain as unbiased as possible.
I was able to book a room at this hotel for Valentine’s Day weekend. It isn’t an ideal place, but it was a convenient location for the string of events we planned for the following day. I booked a room through an outside company to get a better rate for the rooms and requested that I pay at the hotel. We arrived around 11:30pm and the employee at the front desk requested my ID. He checked us in and gave us our room keys. However, he did not ask me to pay on the spot. Which, I admit, is outside of the regular procedure for hotel check-​Ins. I didn’t think much of it and we proceeded into our room for the night.
With the rates that these rooms were going for, it was understandable that it wasn’t going to be the best. Just a bed and a roof over it. A little too dingy for my taste. However, the bathroom was lacking hand soap and the shower did not have an actual shower floor. Instead, it was a shower head over tiles with a drain in the middle of the bathroom. Already ruled out taking a shower in the morning.
Around 1:30am, we got a phone call. Since we were on the cusp of falling asleep, we chose to ignore it, considering we did not know anyone in the area. About five minutes later, we hear a knock on our door. Being extremely cautious, we were debating whether or not to answer it. Before we can even get out of bed and put proper clothes on, a security guard opens the door and welcomes himself in. He asked who checked us in and then left after hearing something in the parking lot.
A couple minutes pass and the phone rings a second time. Alarmed and already woken up, I decide to pick up the phone. The woman on the other line was surprised to find out that we were in the room. She told me that someone else was here and that we were in their room. Apparently, the employee who checked us in just used my last name — a common last name — to check us in under a different guest. This cancelled my original reservation. After sorting out some confusion, she told me that I just had to make my way to the office and pay for the room.
We made our way to the office and we came up to the window to pay. She then walked away for about 10 – 15 minutes. She explained that since the other guest paid already and we didn’t, we had to leave. However, upon check in, he didn’t ask for a payment or anything. She came back and told us that we had to pack up our stuff and leave the room. She also mentioned that «it’s been happening all night». This left us with nowhere to go for the night and basically left us with no choice but to drive back home.
Long story short, we got kicked out of our room at 2am because an employee made a careless mistake: not checking my first name.
Overall, just a terrible experience. A complete lack of professionalism and organization. For an establishment that isn’t even worth it, nonetheless.

I would like to thank the manager for writing me back and trying to accommodate me for one of the worst nights ever. Thank you so much for responding back. At least he tried to make it right!

Found this little gem in the rough by chance and very happy with our stay. Not a luxury hotel by any means but a clean and comfortable stay. The hotel had everything we needed and more. We stayed in a two room suite that included a microwave, mini-​fridge, two updated TVs and cold AC! The front office guy was friendly. The cons the bathroom/​shower was small and stuffy but clean.

Thanks Unilocal,but even when I spoke with the Owner/​Manager named: George, he and his staff still chose to do «Nothing» to bring a positive resolution to a less than pleasant stay. I stayed here for a total of Nine Days. The first room was alright, considering that I had to get some Carpet orderizer. The second and third room, before my early check out from my planned Weekly rate that I paid had its issues too.
Cockroaches and broken bathroom items, such as the Soap Dish in the Shower area of a Disabled accommodated bathroom. I have the pictures to prove it. After my second day here there were numerous issues such as: People having a party, with excessive noise well after 11:00 pm and that is outside of the rooms in the promenade area. Plus! Other hotel guests that would be stomping excessively, as well as Loudly playing their television where if I had my television volume on 30 decibels…, that was not enough in order to shut out the distracted sounds from other guests rooms.
When I checked out, I was given a refund: For the Days that I had Paid Ahead of Time for, but was not willing to use as I had enough. This place should be ashamed: They have these cards at the check-​in desk and I Wish Unilocal would allow me to upload a photo for you, as it is in Total Contradiction to what they provide. When we made our reservation online. We thought this place looked okay for a last minute find. We planned a mini trip to Disneyland. And of course it’s their 60^th anniversary so we didn’t not find any near by hotels. Well there were a couple ranging from $ 400 to $ 800 a night. We couldn’t do that. But I guess we went a little too cheap. This place is what you pay for!
As soon as we walked in it was smelly and humid. So gross! The sheets were even humid! The floor was carpet but it was so dirty. We had been there for 30 minutes and my socks were black. I threw them away and kept our shoes on! The smell was so strong we really didn’t want to sleep there but we did. At least we know for next time to plan ahead of time!

Despite some of the negative reviews, I was surprised at the cleanliness of the room. There is a really long road called the I-​5 which never stops and seems to come through the the crack at the bottom of the entrance but beyond that the room suited my needs and the check-​in process was smooth.

Good spot. kinda dirty but overall very good. specially if you’re a commercial driver good discounts.

Best hotel in Tustin! Hands down! I’ve stayed here probably 10+ times and never had a problem. Rooms are clean and decent for the price. Right next to the I-​5 so it’s perfect for travelers. Overall just a great hotel.

Ok so last night I got a flat tire driving on the way back from SD heading up to LA. Crappy situation because it was too far to tow to LA (would have cost about $ 300).
Anyway, I looked for cheap places near the tire shop and this place came up. It was already 11pm and I just needed a roof over my head so I said why not.
First thing I noticed when I got there was that check-​in was done through a window and not in the office… okay, I guess I could see that for security purposes.
I check in, get my room and it’s so late that I just want to wash up and go to bed. After washing up I go to throw some tissue paper in the garbage bin aaaaand there’s a USED condom and wrapper in there. WTF.
Went to the front and no one was there so I said F it, I’m sleeping on the floor or on top of the covers tonight. I put on my hoodie and sweatpants and tried to sleep but to no avail. Got maybe 3 – 4 hours of sleep.
What’s funny is that when I walked in I could sense that this was a hooker joint, and that I felt like The Mentalist. Maybe that’s a profession I should look into.
Anyway, they gave me half off the room and safe to say I won’t be staying there again. Excuse me while I burn my clothes.

Well for starters… the staff seems undereducated about the facility. They state that the beds are queen sized, but they’re doubles. Upon arriving, we found ice cream from the previous guests and q-​tips in the bed. The faucet inside the room was also extremely leaky and loud. Upon finding all of this, we requested to move rooms thinking that that would solve the issue. We were wrong. After going to the room we were moved to, we pull back the covers to find the sheets were stained with blood. This place can’t invest in some bleach? Let alone new sheets? Upon finding this, we requested to be moved again. Third time’s the charm right? Nope. They would only refund us when we threatened to go to the health department. I Would not recommend this place to ANYONE!

Not bad. The place served it purpose during my stay while doing some business around the area. Just a a place to sleep for one night. Room wasn’t all that bad. The area was giving me a ghetto-​y vibe but I guess that was to be expected

It smells humid inside the rooms. The carpet feels like there’s water in it and sticky. The sheets are not white. The bathtub has cracks in it, cigarette burns and CLR. The towels are stained.
We were charged 80 $ but honesty not even worth half of that.
Save yourself some headaches and stay at a Motel 6. Cheaper and cleaner. Smh.

I’m not really sure why this place has negative reviews. It’s an INN, not the Four Seasons. I’m writing this review from my hotel bed and everything is great (and you can’t beat the price, less than $ 150 for two nights).
I’ve stayed here three times in the past several years and every time has been a pleasing experience. Check in is always quick and friendly. I was greeted four times by four different people at my check-​in today and spent no longer than five minutes in the lobby.
Rooms are always super clean and tidy. The beds might be too squishy for some but I like mine squishy. They must have done some upgrading since my last stay because I don’t remember having a 37″ flat screen, new furnishings, or lamps with extra plugs built into them before.
The pool is clean and well-​regulated, you can usually park right in front of your room, and the vending machines are well-​stocked. People walking around/​opening and closing doors/​chatting in the little courtyard can be a bit loud but light noise doesn’t bother me. I heard no noise from either of my «neighbors.»
There is a Denny’s across the way for late night snacks (us Fatties love Denny’s), a liquor store and gas station within stumbling distance, and for me it ain’t too far from work. Score.
Minus one star for my mini-​fridge not staying cold and the blowdryer being scorching (I usually bring my own so this is normally a non-​issue).
