Dash Plumbing & Rooter

This is my second review of Dash plumbing. They’re not kidding when they say Dash. Adam was out here within the hour, fixed my emergency plumbing problem at a great price and is a sweetheart to boot. Btw, it was Christmas eve!

I read all of the positive reviews and called Dash. Adan sent me a quote of $ 2,600.00 with permits to move some gas lines coming out of my house and out of the ground, over a few inches. (Required by city inspectors in order to replace my electrical panel.) I called another plumber (Evcor) who quoted me a price that was less than a third of Dash’s quote and did the job — with permits — a couple of days later.

Adan is the man when it comes to plumbing. I found him through Unilocal and have been very happy with his service. We had a major plumbing issue at our house where main sewer line connecting to city’s line had to be replaced. We got an estimate from another company which was way too high because the other company did not even have a license to dig on the street. Yes, you need to have a separate license, not just regular plumbing license when it comes to digging on the city’s street. The other company was subcontracting to vendors who had license to do it and so the high estimate because they take a big cut out of it. Thanks to Adan who helped us understand this. . Don’t just get allured by 5 stars reviews. Adan has all required licenses to do any kind of job and is a bonded sewer contractor with Los Angeles city. Adan did the job for us at the right price. He has a very efficient team that handled our entire project seamlessly and finished in timely manner. Adan did not just stand there and watch his team work but he also got his hands dirty and was on site everyday. He is very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions.

If I could give TEN STARS I would. I am so incredibly grateful to Sergio for going out of his way to help us. We had a gas leak and I was desperate to find someone I could trust. God must’ve been smiling down on me, because I found Sergio. This was a MAJOR job, and I knew going in that it would be expensive. Sergio’s work was impeccable. He showed us everything, every step of the way, and went out of his way to keep the cost down while maintaining his extremely high standards. He was so considerate, efficient and kind, I would recommend him without reservation to anyone with a plumbing or gas problem, big or small. Amazing. Best plumbers we’ve ever had. And we’ve had decent (and terrible). But honestly, Adan and his team were incredible. Our situation was such a bummer overall. I saw an exterior pipe outside our house was wet. They came and said it was the pipe connecting to our main sewer line, which then connects to the city. They gave us a quote of $ 1200 to fix it. But once they opened up the pipe and put the camera down, we all saw the cast iron pipe from 1939 was breaking up. So what began as a $ 1200 job turned into a $ 17K job. It was sickening. Especially because we had just finished our landscaping, which included fake turf, etc. But these guys have special hydraulic equipment that can tunnel under the earth and break apart the old pipe while pulling the new one through. So while the job was such a financial hit to us, very little of our yard got damaged. And they managed to do the whole thing in about 5 days. Our yard is terraced and there are 90 steps from the top to the bottom. We actually had to take the 500 pound hydraulic machine through the neighbors yard that abuts our backyard to make the whole thing work. This was not an easy job. Probably one of their more difficult considering our location in the Silverlake hills. We’re talking probably 120 feet of pipe, because it turns out we had a second sewer line from another spot in the house we didn’t know about that was also in bad shape so we decided just to replace that one too while the equipment was in place.
They were so professional and talked us through the whole process the entire time. While they were here, Adan offered to install a device that would give me instant hot water throughout the house. I had been researching this and was telling him my angst at how much water we waste waiting for our water to become hot (our house is long and skinny). I had finally found a device for tankless. He worked tirelessly to get it installed for me and charged me only for the materials. So now, not only do I have pipes with a 25 year guarantee, and permitted by the city, but I now am not wasting water waiting for it to get hot. These guys are definitely our new plumbers and I feel very lucky to finally have really competent people to help us the next time a crisis arrives. Thank you guys!

No he’s Plumberman! lol lame i know. well he was really thoughtful to bring his own shoe protector so he doesn’t get this Asian household dirty. i can’t tell you how many different outside people don’t know to do that.

Adam from Dash is a plumbing artist and knows how to install/​fix everything.
I’ve been using Dash Plumbing and Rooter for small and large jobs over the years. After purchasing my initial fixer home in 2008, Dash was the company I went with to redo all the plumbing, pipes and fixtures. Upon selling that home recently, Dash came out to do a checkup, and EVERYTHING still works perfectly; Toilets, sinks, showers, tubs — everything.
During my sale, I was advised to work with a retrofit compliance company to do my gas shut off valve. The company was recommended by my agent and they charged me $ 500 for the shut off valve and $ 95 for the certificate. The certificate was issued, but the Buyers agent wanted it to be permitted by LADBS (department of building and safety). The inspector came to my home and it failed inspection because the firefighter shut off installed was too small (and it needs to be the same size as the pipe. I called the company again, and they wanted to charge me $ 1000 to change the pipe and purchase the new part!
SO, I called Dash to help me alleviate this issue. Dash not only installed the proper piping and shut off valve, but helped me obtain the permit with LADBS. He also saved me hundreds of dollars in the process.
I am purchasing a new home, and I was traveling so my new agent recommended we use the sewer company to check the pipes. An entire video was made and it was signed off that there was no issue with the sewer pipes.
When Dash came to my new home for the inspection, they reviewed the video and found a serious issue with the way the piping went to the street. Dash proceeded to make their own sewer video to showcase this major sewer issue and I was able to save $ 5,000 with my seller!
I can’t tell you enough how much Dash has helped my friends and I over the years, and going forward I will be sure to only use them for all my work.
They are extremely professional, timely and pricing is honest. They explain the issue and show you the problem so you don’t feel like you’re getting ripped off.

Dash Plumbing was amazing! Much to our dismay, our toilet was backing up into our bathtub suddenly and we needed immediate help. They were here same day and super fast. Turns out we had no drain access which they installed and they fixed a broken pipe while they were down there as well as diagnosed some other issues which they showed me and explained. We have a problem with the sewer line that needs repairing, and we will be sure to have them back to fix it soon (I just got out of the hospital a couple days ago, so we need to recover a bit financially before we take care of it). They had great customer service, were professional, not pushy, understood that we couldn’t fix all of it immediately, and stayed to take care of the drain access today so we wouldn’t be without a bathroom (we sadly only have one). They were really great and we highly recommend them!

Honest and Able!
When the circuit board on my sump pump blew another LARGER plumbing company came out and charged me $ 461.00 just to assess the situation and then sent me an estimate for repair for over $ 12,000.00! I had put the system in — how could repairing something cost so much more than installing it? It was insulting!
I called DASH — Adam came out right away and assessed the problem, ordered the parts, made the repair, tested the system and gave me a one year warranty for $ 665.00.
I am so glad there are still some people who know what they are doing, take pride in what they do and are honest business people.

They are professional, efficient, friendly and honest. I recently had a serious plumbing issue in my home, when my water heater ruptured unexpectedly, and I only caught sight of it when it was already flooded and had caused serious damage. After contacting them regarding this urgent plumbing issue in my home, a technician was sent out, and it had already been after hours. Not only were they pleasant and accommodating, but when Adam arrived, he was patient, and knowledgeable, — I appreciated that he took the time to explain what had happened, and spend time discussing what my options were. Dash is an excellent service that really helped me and my family out.
I had 2 bathroom sinks with leaks beginning at the pop-​up/​drain area. I attempted a DIY project, but was quickly frustrated with I had a problem with the length of a pipe I purchased from Home Depot. At 5pm, I hit Unilocal and immediately noticed Dash Plumbing because of the 5 star reviews. When I called the number, Adam answered. Even though he was out in the field working on a project, he took my call back information, and asked me about my plumbing issue. Despite his promise to call me back in about an hour, he exceeded my expectation by calling me back in 10 minutes with news that an opening had become available the next morning.
Sure enough, Erwin showed up at my residence. He’s a very knowledgeable professional, who took time to diagnose each of the leaking problems. Erwin treated the problems and solutions like he was working on his own home — I could tell this guy really cares about doing a great job. For that, my family and I are extremely grateful.
In addition, Erwin even shared some tips to help me keep water flow and pressure in top shape, and best retailers to find top products like the kind that are good enough for use by Dash Plumbing.
So, if you ever face a situation where DIY is no longer an option, call Dash (and If I were you, ask for Erwin). YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Great company, excellent customer service, and a job very well done! They take their time to explain what the problem is and what needs to be done. Then they get the job finished quickly and clean up nicely.
I live in a condo complex where, in order to make any repairs, they had to shut off the water to the other units. Knowing this, they worked quickly and made a repair within minutes allowing the water to be turned back on to the other units and then they were able to continue working on the other issues. They replaced my leaky bathroom faucet and two stop valves. They even went above and beyond by replacing a broken shower knob that I had with an extra one they had in their truck! They answered all the questions I asked and offered suggestions on other issues I was having with my plumbing.

Great customer sevice. They went above and beyond what they needed to do. They called for me and got my parts from my warranty company. They had it sent to my house and came the follwing day to fix my water heater. Adam called me prior, during, and then after just to make sure everything was going as scheduled. They also let me know of the additional things that might need some attention down the line. I have used them a couple of times now and have been extremely satisfied with there service

I had a pipe burst connected to my sprinkler system that wouldn’t stop gushing water even with the main water to the house shut off. My regular plumber was busy and couldn’t come out until the next day, so I turned to Unilocal.
The owner answered the phone right away and understood the urgency of my situation. He was on another job, but had one of his employees take over and was at my house in about an hour.
He looked at the problem, then gave me three options to fix it which he explained very clearly. I chose the middle of the road. He got the parts and it was fixed relatively quickly. The work looks professional and he left the old parts that he removed so that I could see how eroded they were. I was at work during the whole job, but a friend was there for me.
I didn’t have time to compare prices, but I think he was reasonable. He does charge for estimates, which I don’t like because it leaves the customer stuck with paying and not having the problem fixed or accepting the estimate. But, in my experience that is normal industry practice.
Overall, I am very happy with the services that I received and would recommend this company.

Drain backed up, pipe broken while trying to fix ourselves. I found this company on Unilocal,with multiple, recent, stellar reviews. I called at 7:00AM and Adam asnwered the phone, sent Irwin to our home immediately. Irwin fixed the clog, repaired the pipe, and left the 2 bathrooms clean (he even wore the booties when he entered the house). Total was $ 250.00. Excellent company, we will call again when needed. The team at Dash is absolutely stellar. They wrapped everything in plastic before getting to work and did a great job cleaning up.
Adam kept me in the loop about what was happening throughout the 2 day process which I appreciated. They worked extremely fast too.

Was having problems with my kitchen faucet so I searched trusty ol Unilocal for plumbers in the area. Dash Plumbing popped up with rave reviews so I gave them a call and it went straight to Adam. I told him what the problem was and he said he would come first thing in the morning and gave me an estimate of what he thought the problem was. He came exactly when he said he would and assessed the problem under my sink (the water pressure regulator needed to be replaced).
He explained exactly what he was doing and instructed me on what to look for next time around as well. I also asked him to fix my bathtub faucet, which was a much more challenging task than anticipated due to some corrosion in the pipes. He meticulously worked, made sure to keep the area clean (wearing hospital gown boots as he entered), and he even cleaned the bathtub after he was complete. At the end, I was charged exactly what I was quoted the night before for the parts and labor. I waited a few weeks to write this review to make sure everything was good before commenting. Hopefully I won’t have too many plumbing needs in the future, but if I do, I’ll definitely be calling Adam and Dash Plumbing!

Dash Plumbing was terrific from start to finish!
I got in touch with Adam about 3 plumbing issues a few days before the 4^th of July holiday, and he said he could come out on Saturday — i.e., the 5^th of July — even though most folks were closed that day! Once I explained our known issues, he asked if I could send him a couple of pictures just to make sure we were on the same page, and to ensure that he could come prepared to replace the things that needed replacing.
When Saturday rolled around, they arrived on time, and took care of everything we asked for, quickly and efficiently. Then, in the process of checking their work, they identified a few additional issues we hadn’t known about.
One thing Adam noticed as soon as he turned on the water at our kitchen sink is that the water pressure feeding into our house was way too high. Turns out, unbeknownst to us, our water pressure reducing valve had broken. Since they had the needed part on their truck, we asked them to go ahead and replace it, and they took care of it in about 15 minutes. The other issue they showed us involved roots is our sewage line, which we will likely have them come back to take care of later this summer.
We are thrilled with Dash Plumbing and highly recommend their services. They truly are as good as it gets!

Dash Plumbing and Rooter is the true definition of customer service. I had Adam come out to my house the same day that I notice water coming out of the sewage line. I assume it was paper towels and roots and that they were simply going to run the snake to clear it out. What I got was more and a better understanding of what is causing the issue, something that previous rooters did not bother explaining.
He came out and use a camera to show me where the issue and to what extend the damage that roots have cause, eventually I will need to replace my sewage line soon. I am very please as the professionalism and the time Adam took to explain to me my options.
I highly recommend calling Dash Plumbing and Rooter. Don’t even bother with anybody else as they will more likely simply be taking your money. When it is time for the bigger job of my sewage line, I will definitely be using these guys.

I had Adam and Robert come out from Dash — Robert came out first and explained my 1925 plumbing issues better than 3 other plumbers I had before. He managed to get the water flowing but knew exactly what I needed to do next so I wouldn’t keep having the same problems. Previous plumbers just took my money and didn’t have a clue why the issues kept coming up.
Adam then came out with his crew and installed a new main line clean out for a good price and gave me tips so I could fix blockages myself in the future without spending more money.
Definitely the best plumbers I’ve had so far. I’ll be redoing my old iron pipes in the future and Dash will be the guys I’ll use.
