Nice hard working mechanics, very honest! I was given the run around by another mechanic in the area, when I took my car to Gary he advised me to not get the repairs another mechanic said I needed.

Gary is so helpful I’ve gotten a lot of work done and never been dis appointed I refer a lot of people and they have all been very happy with him and his Machanic very trustworthy and affordable I will never go anywhere else because I can trust that my car will get fixed and be safe here very friendly people and know what they are doing

I have been taking my car to Gary since he took ownership of the shop and I have never been let down. My cars are always serviced great, within a timely manner and for a more than fair price. He’s HONEST and understands the importance of a safe and reliable vehicle for working people/​families.

I have referred easily a dozen people to Gary over the past 10 years — after he was referred to me by a friend. And they all say the same thing: He’s the best — honest, affordable, pleasant, and he makes time to fix your car when he says it will be ready, at the cost he told you it would be. Unless your service or repair need is under warranty, stay away from the dealer — take it to Gary, have it fixed right, and save money.

I love the service I get here at General Tires. Gary always welcomes me with a hug, and tells me what is wrong with my car and does a great job on fixing my car. I come all the way from Glendale just to have my car serviced here! Great job Gary, love you!!!

Not the same any more. I’m with Gary. I’m going elsewhere now. He’s screwed over a few close people I know.

Gary WAS an honest mechanic but that all seemed to change over the last year. While he has always taken good care of my cars, the past few experiences have been shady at best. He had my car for a week with an ongoing mysterious problem. After 5 days he tells me he knows what the issue is. The following week, the car has still not been repaired. Finally 2 weeks later the car is back at his shop (he sent it out for repair apparently), and just before I go to get it, the shop calls me and says they just talked to Gary and the car is not ready and he doesn;t know what’s wrong with it. I talked to another auto mechanic, & he tells me that he believes that I was getting the run around (obviously), and that it sounded like I was dropping a cylinder under load. He asked about my spark plugs that were changed 7 years ago by Gary (who said they were were fine). Was told they should be changed every 20,000 miles in a 4 cylinder car like mine. Currently having anothr mechanic go over every repair done at general automotive. Gary is a wolf in sheeps clothing.

Gary is the most trustworthy mechanic in all of Los Angeles. He will tell you everything you need to know about your car and give you the heads up on things you should anticipate. Everytime I take my car to him, I have absolutely no worries about it. He runs a tight ship and everyone on board knows what they’re doing.
All three of the guys, Tony, Tito and Gary are hard working family guys who do the best that they can to resolve whatever issue you may have.

Gary is truly an honest mechanic. I have mechanics in the family who confirmed every bit of work he was to do, and he has failed me never. In fact on one repair, he actually charged me less than what a second cousin offered to fix it for.
After my ’92 sable died, he BEGGED me not to put any more money into it, and advised me instead on a good used car to purchase. «If you get this car, you won’t ever have to see me again.» So far, he was right.
