Clark County Painting & Pressure Washing

We built a custom house and the builder used Clark County Painting. If you are interested in fast and «looks ok at a distance», then this is the company for you. If you expect quality and «done right the first time», then look elsewhere.
Everything from requiring them to repaint interior rooms because they only did one coat of dark paint (you could see stripes), to dripping paint on the carpets, to finally getting so frustrated with calling them to fix issues that we just began repainting the interior rooms ourselves.
It was never the same crew — so when I would explain something specific we wanted (during the build), another crew would show up and have no idea what conversations had taken place (I ended up explaining to three different crews before a particular request was completed).
We have been attempting to clean up overspray everywhere (on railings, on the deck, on the trim, on the windows, etc.). We have also spent hours cleaning up the masking tape and tape residue they left around randomly (not painters tape).
They also apparently did some of our gutter work — and I am so frustrated waiting for them to correct a few outstanding issues there that I think I may just give up and «live with it».
Avoid this company.

I actually did not call your office manager anything. I asked her why she was calling me a liar? I asked her why she thought I would lie about the situation. In addition to the damage on the ceiling your «skilled workers» got paint on my fixtures, tiles, and floor. I was cleaning up splatters of paint for quite some
Time afterwards. You were unwilling to admit the possibility your «skilled workers» did anything wrong and were unwilling to redo the drywall to remedy the problem. Instead you resorted to calling me a liar, attacking my character and screaming at me. This to me is not the willingness of a company to end on a good note. A professional would have come back, fixed the ceiling and preserved the client regardless of what you thought happened. Since it is obviously my word against your employee and you have no way to prove either story because you weren’t there and never came to even look at the job. I have nothing to gain and was not after «free work» as you accused me of. I just wanted the repair done.

We had Clark County Painting paint our BIG house this summer. They were extremely professional did an amazing job on our house. They addressed a couple of very minor issues we had right away. I highly recommend them and will use them again in the future!

It has taken me 6 months to write this review in the hopes that time might lessen the frustrations we experienced working with Clark County Painting. It has not. We hired Clark County Painting to repaint our kitchen cabinets. They were helpful in selecting the paint colors, and Ed specifically is who we worked with… but that is truly one of the only positive comments I have. The lack of workmanship, poor communication, and limited follow through was appalling.
The painters that arrived (usually at unconfirmed times) were hard workers, however there was a serious language barrier. We contacted Ed repeatedly by voicemail and text, even asking several times that he arrive on site to discuss various questions/​issues we were having. There were «mix-​ups» on confirmed appointments with Ed, last minute changes, and a variety of excuses. Ed never came back to address problems until the day he threw in the towel on the job.
Some of the issues we experienced in addition to terrible communication related to the quality — or lack thereof — of the work done. We later found out that Clark County Painting used the wrong type of paint for painting our cabinets, thinned it out too much, didn’t allow sufficient dry time before mounting the cabinet doors causing them to stick and peel off paint, used screws that were too big for the hinges causing the cabinet boxes to split, left primer all over the walls… I could go on and on and on. It was a terribly shoddy job.
The final straw was when cabinet hardware was mounted incorrectly. This was so horrendous! They not only mounted drawer pulls off center and then claimed it’s what we told them to do, they also mounted the vertical pulls crooked. Crooked! About ¹⁄₃ of the cabinets were affected before we saw it and demanded they stop. When I called Ed to address this he called me and my husband liars, said we rushed the job which caused too many problems, and offered absolutely no viable solution. What kind of person yells and makes excuses before even trying understand the problem and find a resolution?
We attempted to work with him on a solution:
replace the damaged cabinets, repair 2 or 3 damaged cabinets so we could evaluate if this would be okay, or give us a reduced rate for the work done. Let me just say, this doesn’t even begin to capture the level of unprofessionalism with how he handled these conversations. He yelled, used inflammatory language, and again made accusations — all without ever having been on site to see our concerns firsthand. Ultimately we agreed on a discounted rate and they were off the job. Best decision of this whole project.
This was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a contractor. Do not make the same mistake we did!
