Business Owner

Dr. Nicole Teser has practiced primary care optometry in Northern Virginia since 2004. After working for 11 years in a large ophthalmology practice, she decided to pursue her vision of pairing excellent care with the latest in fashion eyewear. Growing up in Maryland, Dr. Teser graduated Suma Cum Laude from Salisbury University in 1999. In 2003, Dr. Teser completed optometry school at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. Upon graduation, she was selected for a yearlong residency with an emphasis in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease.

I was looking forward to writing the review for this new eyecare office, it was a great experience overall. I was surprised by the one 2 star review, they must have gotten the wrong place because the best part of my experience was the staff (like the first review said). The office is very trendy, beautifully designed and inviting. It even smelled good! The staff offered me beverages and took my jacket. The doctor was attentive and put me at ease (even after years of wearing glasses, I am nervous to have an eye exam). The glass selection was great, as good or better than when I went to Georgetown optical a few years ago and again, the staff here were so helpful.

Terrible office staff in dealing with length of appointment. Was there for just about 2 hours for a basic eye exam and dilation which never before in my past at other eye doctors has this taken close to that long. Then when there was a complaint about the length of the office visit the office manager was argumentative and rude. There is something called customer service and when the complaint has nothing to do anything with a money or a medical bill one would think it could be easily apologized and rectified… Not here with this office staff.
* the dr’s we have seen are good though. Maybe the Dr’s should evaluate their prime staff so they have some better bedside manor.

If you’re looking for glasses or an eye doctor, this is it. Dr. Teser is very knowledgeable and does a great job explaining the exam. Better yet they don’t use the air puff, no more vicious twitching!
Both my boyfriend and I purchased glasses here and were very happy with our experience.
Dr. Teser and Jose are the best! They are incredibly friendly and helpful. Their new location is adorable, I love the design, makes shopping for glasses a fun experience. They were very clear explaining our medical benefits and even discussed the best way to use them.
Unfortunately we only need to go in a handful of times during the year (we still stop by just to say hi), but I’m already looking forward to my next exam.
