Very good ice cream. Line moved very quickly and the people who were working tonight were very helpful. It’s a little pricey($ 10. for 1 small cone and 1 small cup).

This ice cream is sooooo good. You get a huge amount for the price too. That could be good or bad… Roosters for my haircut and Bruster’s for my ice cream! Good thing they are only 20 feet away from each other.

Homemade icecream! It’s hard to find local icecream shops, and even harder to find ones that actually churn their own in-house. The graham was delicious — graham flavored icecream with chunks of graham crackers. I was a little surprised at the cost of the small cup, but it turns out we got a very generous portion — 2 heaping scoops.

Brusters is definitely some of the best ice cream I’ve had in awhile! They make it fresh in-house everyday and you can really tell the difference! I had death by chocolate and vanilla turtle, both were out of this world. I also tried the chocolate peanut butter buckeye which was really good I will get next time. My husband and coffee and vanilla toffee and loved both. Bonus that they give a free doggie sundae for your dog! Mine was in heaven and licked the bowl clean :) great addition to the neighborhood!

½ Delicious!!! UPDATE: I stopped off this weekend for my second visit. The first time was a few weeks ago, on a weekday evening when the place was pretty quiet. That experience was great and the resulting review is below. This time it was at 7 pm on a day when they were giving away free cones to anyone in pajamas. We didn’t qualify for that promotion but did get the«benefit» is seeming this place when it was busy. During my first visit(described below) I appreciated their aggressively having me taste many flavors before ordering. When they are busy it’s not a appreciated, either because it means I have to wait a bit longer for service or when it’s finally my turn I feel the disgruntlement from the people behind me in line. Also, there seemed to be less«add in stuff» like chips, flakes, and chunks as last time. Finally, the ice cream, while still not bad, was full of ice crystals. I’ll leave nucleation out of the discussion and just suggest they might not have been as careful in making their ice cream this time as when they weren’t expecting to go through so much of it. As a result of this second experience, I dropped my review from 5-stars to 3 and will come up with a final score after I go back for the tie breaker. For now, I suggest you adjust your expectations depending on how busy they are and avoid days when they are giving things away unless you qualify to get them for free as well. Now, let’s return to my original review already in progress… This place is a bit our of the way, located in the residential/commerical expansion that’s tacked on to the Dunn Loring metro stop. Aside from Metro access, there’s plenty of free parking in the commerical garages across the street. The ice creamery was clean and spacious. There’s also lots of places to sit outside once winter goes away. The young lady who waited on me was chearful and eager to provide samples of any flavor I mentioned. And, always one to please, I mentioned more than a few. What impressed me, beyond the overall deliciousness, was the quantity of addin’s. Like real toffee chunks in the Coffee Toffee, hunks of grahm crackers in the Graham Central Station, and don’t get me started on their Turtle Cheesecake. Every flavor I tried was rich, creamy, and delicious. Of the three scoops I eventually ordered, my favorite was the Mint Fudge, followed closely by the Coffee Toffee, with the Chocolate Raspberry Truffle finishing third.

Real ice cream shop that makes all their flavors in house! Best of all, you can sample whatever your heart desires! I really liked the Graham Central Station, but my favorite was definitely the Butter Pecan. I don’t remember having a better one! This shop adds a nice vibe to the developing neighborhood. Alert: get one free scoop of ice cream when you come in your pjs on one day in March. Check the date with them! How convenient for those who live right there!

I’m so happy there is finally a Brusters in the DMV area. I don’t know why anyone would give this business anything less then five stars! Here is why –free samples(the staff will let you try as many as you want and help you come of with a delicious treat) –it’s made INSTORE! Meaning, creamy, rich, soft but not to soft. –hand spun shakes can be made with any flavor(I tried the chocolate raspberry truffle in a shake and it was amazing) –the staff(each staff member is polite, helpful and fast! –the owners are nice! –50% off banana splits on Thursdays if you bring a banana –they also have some rewards program wear they punch your card and you can earn free ice cream! They do two punches on Tuesday –they have amazing toppings from cookie dough bites to gummy worms. ALLL and all a friendly atmosphere with tables and chairs! A perfect place for family’s and friends to grab a tasty treat !!!

Three words. GRAHAMCENTRALSTATION. One of the best flavors of ice cream I’ve ever tried. It makes working out worthwhile. And the staff is extremely friendly. They also do free sundaes for dogs. This area desperately needed a good ice cream option and Bruster’s hit the mark!

Fantastic ice cream and customer service. We tried the Graham Central Station, Vanilla, and Coffee Toffee, and all were exceptional. More importantly, we arrived about thirty minutes after closing time. We turned around to leave when the owner/employee saw us, opened the door, and invited us in, despite the fact that we had to walk on his freshly mopped floor. This place is a gem. We will definitely be back.

Site says open till 9pm on Sunday, locked door and sign say 8pm. Nothing worse than wasting a customer’s time because you can’t get something so elementary right.

This ice cream is so good! It’s about time a true ice cream shop opened up in this area. With all of the frozen yogurt places in business, I was getting worried that America forgot about plain old, rich and creamy ice cream. This place offers truly delicious ice cream. I’ve been here a few times already, and I love the consistency in the ice cream’s flavor and texture. The butter brickle is awesome as is the graham cracker. If you get a small, you automatically get two scoops. If there are two of you, it may make more economical sense to get just one cup and share. Bruster’s offers more than just ice cream with its shakes and sundaes and sorbets. I can only imagine how crowded this place will be come summertime. Also, the people working here are wonderful! They are super friendly. Bottom line: grab some dinner at one of the nearby spots, and get your dessert here. Kids and adults alike will be in good spirits after eating this tasty ice cream!

Bruster’s is a small chain of ice cream shops headquartered in Pennsylvania with shops in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia — so it’s local. The ice cream and sundaes are great. Thursday’s are Bring Your Own Banana(BYOB). Get a banana split at half-price.
