Pho Deluxe Tysons

I got the phở with everything in it. The staff wasnt the friendliest and the food portion was a little small but not bad overall. I would come back for phở if im in the area

Came here once, the host greeted us and sat us. Waited 15 minutes on a semi busy weekday. No one ever came to take our order. So we walked out. A few months later we came back to give it a second shot, and since there aren’t that many Phở options in Tysons, and actually got served some food. Ordered the small Tai Chin. They served us very little meat. Broth was good though.

Great Seafood Phở. Yummy Spring roll. Excellent service. Nice portion. Was staying at the Quality Inn and it was just a short walk across the parking lot to get there.

Solid phở and decently priced. I’ve wanted to try phở 7 too but prices are ridiculous there $ 9.95 for small phở vs phở deluxe $ 7.95 for small. Consistently good phở and summer rolls.

I was staying the weekend at the Sheraton Tysons Corner for a convention. Since I had time on Sunday, I decided to walk farther from the hotel for food. Phở Deluxe is in the same building as Potbelly and only a block farther away than the usual restaurants we dine at near the hotel. I thought the food was rather good. The autumn roll (a variation of a spring roll) seemed fresh and had a tasteful mix of ingredients. I noticed the Mi Tom Thit (yellow egg noodles with pork and shrimp) was very similar to Malaysian wonton mee, with a few changes in ingredients. That said, the broth was flavorful and they didn’t skimp on the meat and bean sprouts.
What drags this place down though is the service. The server was curt beyond belief. At different times, she either ignored the table or rushed the ordering and payment. Also, it was uncomfortable hearing her criticize a fellow employee loudly in the dining area, even if it wasn’t in a language I understood.

In this area (Tysons Corner), this is one of very few phở place. The phở was fine. Wish they could give us more bean spouts and mint. My friend ordered chicken fried rice dish and he said the chicken was dry. It can get very crowded for weekday lunch since there are many businesses around the area.

Good food, decent wait staff. But how you gonna have Phở Deluxe/​Combination/​Special without the meatballs?

Best Phở in Tyson’s, it’s just delicious and the prices are not bad either.
I never had any problems with the service, but i wouldn’t say it’s outstanding either, especially when it’s too crowded.

Phở and Vermicelli are the way to go. Don’t expect much from their wine and beer selection. That’s not why you would choose to eat here. They never disappoint! Nuff said.

Good phở. Went here for lunch today. Feemers got the crispy spring roll appetizer and the phở w/​well done brisket. I got the chicken phở (trying to reduce my red meat intake). Everything was good. The spring rolls basically tasted like crispy fried egg rolls but filled with shrimp. The large phos were good and come with all the normally fix-​ins (sprouts, basil, lime, jalepeno). Service was very quick.

Hasn’t returned for a while because the bad service. This time even the phở noodle is not as good. The middle age waitress is very loud and the service is not attentive. Getting worse.

If I could go less stars i would this place has great food but horrific customer service, when we first walked in the waitress was extremely rude to us. So when we sat down I ordered a side of beef with my phở but instead got beef broth so I told the waitress and she started yelling and screaming at the bus boy who took our order, right in front of us, my mom started to «sternly talk» to the manger to have the waitress apologize to the bus boy when it was not his mistake Do (his name) the manager laughed instead of taking action my mom thinks she treated him like this because he was Mexican and she was being racist, I don’t think I’ll ever go back!!!

Not a bad Vietnamese place for lunch; I would say average for phở and vermicelli noodle bowl. Their crispy spring rolls are very crunchy but taste like there is way too much grease. I do like that they put a sufficient amount of meat in the springs rolls.
My boyfriend ordered the phở tai large and it was enough to fill him up. For $ 9, prices for the large phở aren’t bad. I ordered the vermicelli noodle bowl with grilled chicken & crispy spring rolls. I really enjoyed the grilled chicken since it was juicy & flavorful but the spring rolls kinda ruined it for me.
Service was also average; the lady who served us was pretty rude since she just snatched the menu out of my hands when I was still looking after ordering. If it’s busy, I’ll understand but it wasn’t so I took a star off for that.

This place is located near my work place in Tysons Corner (next to honda dealership). The place shared a parking lot with other area, so be careful and look at the bottom before you park, it will said «reserved for Phở Deluxe» only, limited parking…
I came during lunch time twice and it was crowded, super crowded so try to get there early. Typical vietnamese restaurant, this one has no lunch special though. The price is a bit pricey for other items other than phở. First time I tried bun bo nuong and second time I ordered mi mem xao bo (soft noodle with beefs). It was pretty good for both visits, but since it was super busy for them. They didn’t check up on us often and take a little longer to get your order, food and check, so be aware of that.
Overall it is pretty good place to grab lunch with co workers. I will come back.

Here’s the thing– Phở Deluxe is the best phở in Tyson’s corner. The downside is most people know this, and the experience is so overwhelming now that I no longer come to this location.
This phở shop is located near the Ratner building where you see Pot Belly’s on the corner and at the Spring Hill light. There is a big and VERY busy parking lot outside of the restaurant. If you love phở, you know that rainy and cold months bring more business than usual to these places, so in the summer it’s really no problem getting in. In the winter, this place is busting at the seams with suits trying to grab some lunch before headed back to work. I’ve not waited, but been told there would be a 45 minute wait for lunch at times when visiting Phở Deluxe. No one who works in Tyson’s corner has time for that.
They will not hesitate to have you sit at the bar right next to the heavily rotating door with cold air blasting you the entire time. It was after an experience like this that I looked down Leesburg Pike for Phở 7 and became a regular there.
Phở Deluxe has bubble tea, which Phở 7 does not. Phở Deluxe also has a wide variety of other options outside of phở that look great, though I have admittedly never tried them.
All in all this would have been a 5 star review had it not been for how crowded it is and for the chance that you will be seated in front of a steady stream of arctic air while trying to sip your soup.

Great phở place. I’d say slightly above average for sure.
It was the broth that was nearly perfect. Very delicious. They also gave a good amount of meat in my phở and the service was great.
My friend raves about their crispy spring rolls and says it’s one of the best in the northern Virginia area. I didn’t end up trying it, but I’ll take his word for it since he’s a really big foodie. Very presentable place, I’d come back if I were in the area.

Staying the night at the Comfort Inn close by, but was hesitant to try due to recent reviews…
I’m glad I did stop in.
It was busy but not too busy, as I was seats straight away.
My server was friendly and helpful.
My Phó came out pretty quick, was hot and a large amount.
I had a great dinner.

Complete five stars for me! Especially when your fried chicken is, as good as my Grandmother’s. :-)
I love the shrimp fried rice too! The location is hidden in the back on spring hill road. Hidden gem, I should say.

The more I frequent this place for phở, the more disappointed I become.
First off, I ordered phở tai gau (beef and fatty brisket) but asked for the tai on the side. They charged me extra when I didn’t order extra meat. When I complained, the cashier said he was sorry and that it was the waiter’s fault… but still charged me the extra fee. I was extremely busy that day so I didn’t feel like complaining and fighting the extra few dollars.
A few weeks later I went and the service was still horrendous. The way they take your orders, it’s almost like they don’t want you there and they just want to go home. I almost felt guilty for asking them for extra limes. No paying customer should ever feel that way.
Another time they told me I could not get my tai (beef slices) on the side. Which was funny because every other time I was able to get it on the side with no problem. He said he would ask the kitchen and when he did, he said they would allow it this one time because they normally don’t allow it.
I went earlier this week and they were able to give me my tai on the side. What the heck?!
Besides crappy service, their food is also very mediocre. Their broth does not come out hot like before and their extreme lack of service makes their food taste even worst. I’m over Phở Deluxe. I’ll drive a little longer to get better phở and service.

I noticed that there’s an inordinate amount of Unilocal Customers who are either so called Cuisine «Experts» or they are just venting. It’s a bit sad & disconcerting as running a successful biz, let alone a restaurant is not easy. I also think ppl in the Metro DC are a bit spoiled. I have traveled extensively around the World & in the Continental US. The caliber of restaurants in this area is pretty impressive.
Anyway. I went to Phở Deluxe today late afternoon: 3 pm. The interior is spacious & it had a bar area so a bit fancier than what I am used to. It was very clean. Obviously because of the time of day it wasn’t crowded. But I was greeted & seated immediately by a waiter. I ordered the crispy spring roll & the Phở with eye of round & meatballs. I was instantly given a glass of ice water & a plate of fresh phở salad accoutrements: bean sprouts, Thai basil, line, jalapeño slices. The spring rolls were very good: crispy on the outside & flavorful. Within 10 minutes of the spring rolls, my phở appeared. It was piping hot, with a lovely fragrant smell of fresh eye of round, spring onion, and a slight waft of anise. It was delicious.
I will return & I recommend this place to anyone.
I hope people put more thought into their Unilocal reviews instead of hastily writing a nasty gram because they’ve had a bad day.
