Rancho Carpet & Window Cleaning

Rancho Services was recommended by my next door neighbor and she was sure right. I’ve had them in to do multiple services so far and every job was done professionally, thoroughly, quickly and by a fantastic crew! I’m not always easy to please but this team was fantastic. They worked with me throughout the entire job and never once made me feel uncomfortable that maybe I’d delayed them in some fashion as some younger staff tend to do now days. I can’t wait to have the final jobs done.

Rancho Services was recommended by our realtor when we bought our home 20 years ago. She was picky about what local goods and services she endorsed, since her reputation was at stake, so we had a feeling they would serve us well. And they have for many years.
Our home is populated by a couple of people and three black labs. The latter can shed much hair and also bring in great deal of dirt and grime in their comings and goings. We waited far too long to call Rancho Services since our last cleaning, but having recently just had our carpets cleaned, they once again did an awesome job on the carpets in our home. They helped move furniture, placed foam spacers/​plastic protectors under all furniture legs and then proceeded to clean with gusto. Our carpets look brand new and our home looks and smells fresh, neat and clean.

This is a follow-​up to my Five Star Review of October, 2010, After my last service call by Rancho Services a couple of years ago (which I ended up being very happy about as usual), I’d «cheaped out» on carpet cleaning for a time and bought a «nice» home carpet cleaner and began doing it myself. That was a mistake. While it seemed to work out OK at first, after about six months it got to the point where I could get my carpets looking good for a month and then they got dirty again quickly in the same places. I was essentially camouflaging the problems and not dealing with the consequences of owning three labrador retrievers that like to bring the outside in in every way possible.
I finally threw the carpet cleaner away because it was killing my back and was leaving residue behind unless I went over it three or four times with warm water and a lot of suction. I was spending a full day doing this and what’s more, the supplies for it were expensive and ultimately, ineffective. I called Corky over at Rancho and felt like a noob when I told him I’d been DIY’ing it. He laughed and welcomed me back. He had two great crew members there pronto and they did a fantastic job in a fraction of the time I had been spending. They were very careful with everything they moved and of course, propped all the furniture up on foam blocks so it didn’t get water damaged. That in and of itself is worth the price they charge.
I will never, ever do my own carpets again. Given the reasonable fee structure Rancho has and the superb quality of their work and service, it just doesn’t make sense to DIY it.
I’m baffled why there aren’t many more 5 Star reviews showing up for Rancho Services because I know people that have posted them. I’m guessing it has something to do with the Unilocal algorithm. Please know that my neighborhood is full of people that have used Rancho Services for many, many years. You won’t do better anywhere else.
TL;DR Rancho Rocks — DIY carpet cleaning is a waste of time and effort.
