Galleria Shades and Shutters

My husband and I are wanting to upgrade our window coverings with plantation shutters, so we gave Galleria a call. We got three quotes from different companies, and I was really impressed with the experience that we had with Mike. He was very professional, on time to the appointment, thorough with his description of the options available, and he was polite/​thoughtful enough to tell us immediately with the different options with changes would have an additional fee and which were complimentary choices to choose between. The other shocker was that we had a representative from Costco come out to give us a quote, and Galleria was cheaper, and Galleria had more options for the plantation shutter sliding door. Galleria had the quickest turn around time for ordering/​delivering shutters, which was not a deciding factor for us, since we were more price conscious, but definitely a bonus so that you can enjoy your new purchase right away. I also greatly appreciate that there was not a hard sales pitch, we didn’t feel pressure to sign anything during the appointment like I had with one of the other quotes I had received. We did end up ordering a portion of the original quote yesterday, and can’t wait to see the final product installed.
Update — the shutters were installed and they make the room pop! I really appreciate that for both the estimate appointment and the installation appointment Mike was on time, unlike other companies that give you a window of time to arrive. I also really like that Mike was the one who installed the shutters with his son, who introduced himself when he came in (very polite and appreciated) it made me feel like if I had any questions or issues during the installation that it would get answered and/​or resolved in a quick manner since he was there for the original appointment. Overall just a good professional experience!

I would give these guys more stars if I could. Without going into all of the details, these guys have been so helpful, responsive and accommodating. We bought a big new home in Walnut Creek that had no window treatments and got multiple bids. We ended up going with Galleria because they were the most responsive and were willing to replace if we didn’t like them. I don’t give many reviews and seldom feel like I got my moneys worth, but I wanted to take the time to share my fantastic service experience with these guys. You can get these shades anywhere, but you wont get the service that you will get with Galleria. I would definitely do business with them again.

I would give Galleria 10 stars. Very professional installation. We ordered all our window treatments here, and were very satisfied with Mike and Debbie. Our order came in a week early, which was great; Mike installed them the next day. He was a complete professional and the install was a breeze. Mike noticed that one of the headers had some slight damage on the top. Even though it wasn’t noticeable, he said he would order a new one because we should have a perfect product. I would highly recommend Galleria, and would definitely use them again.

I just had plantation shutters put in my family room today, totalling $ 4,000.00. I had shutters in the rest of my home, but wanted to complete with the family room. Very pleased with the entire process. Very helpful, friendly, installation job, and great quality. I highly recommend Mike and Debbie from Galleria! Thank you, guys!

Worth the money! Bought 4 remote control Hunter Douglas shades about two years ago. Have been working great, today just replaced the batteries for the first time in one shade. Being unusable for one day made me realize how much we depend on them. The afternoon sun beats relentlessly on the back of our house. Had these installed soon after we moved in. Definitely look custom and get lots of compliments! Service was great. They came and measured, I picked the style and they were installed a few weeks later.

We had the pleasure of working with the folks at Galleria blinds and they were great. Debbie and Mike were very professional, informative, on-​time for installation, and Mike installed all the blinds in my house within 2.5 hours. What more can I say… they were just awesome. The whole process was easy from start to end. Give them a call! =)

Hi everyone, if you are going to repair or purchase Hunter Douglas shades from here – be reminded «you will be charged extra 30% «. They charge $ 75 per unit for repair one shade however the other place only $ 55. When I asked the guy about the price gap.
He just said: that is how we charged!!!
I was really disappointed. But Luckily we have found another place called Cole’s interior design. They offer discount on every kind of Hunter Douglas shades (while Galleria doesn’t) plus 30% less repair fee. If we are going to change shades we will definitely go to Cole’s interior design place. Not Galleria.

After reading all the 5 star review on here my husband called to get an estimate for shutters. The woman told him she would have it to him by end of day then we never heard back from her. No follow up communication. Guess they don’t need the business. No stars.

I had been holding off on replacing my old shades, because I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of measuring, selecting and then installing them. I considered doing this on my own via online shutter options, but then I saw the great Unilocal reviews for Galleria Shades and Shutters and decided to give them a call.
Mike answered and, even though this was for a home in St. Helena, he agreed to make the trek out to assess our needs. Mike was prompt and professional. He listened to my concerns regarding our current shades, took measurements, provided a myriad of options but didn’t overwhelm me and then promptly returned a few weeks later to install the new shades (and take away the old ones). While I was present for the order placement, my husband was there for the installation and he couldn’t have been happier with the end result. This was one of the easiest transaction that we’ve had for a home improvement! So glad we decided to go with Galleria Shades and Shutters.

Ordered window coverings for my son’s new house, which had a one incredibly long window that I was sure would be impossible to do. They came out, on time, and quickly got he order done. Two weeks later, back to install, and a rebate came my way via mail. Good job, and the windows look great!

This is when you really know one is dealing with a quality company. I had a repair, not even purchased via this establishment and the followup and follow through by Debbie with Hunter Douglas was amazing. They made no money but still provided outstanding service.
We built our custom home here in Walnut Creek. If and when we do it again or simply do some upgrades/​enhancements we will use Galleria for sure!

Wow! Mike and Debbie were so helpful and professional. Debbie helped me find the exact products I was looking for in my older home and Mike was great helping me with the colors and widths of the shutters/​shades. The prices were reasonable and the end result looks fantastic!
There were so many choices and Mike and Debbie made the process so easy. The installation was professional and quick — and everything looks top notch!
Unilocal is also awesome as I found Galleria here and am glad that I followed other reviewers’ recommendations.

After having a bad experience with another shutter company, I went to the Galleria store in Walnut Creek to look at their plantation shutters. I made a consultation appt and Mike (the owner) came out and spent about an hour with us explaining the different options and features. Mike was very professional and courteous (he actually took his shoes off without asking!). His quote was about $ 1800 less than the previous quote we received. Mike installed our shutters about 6 weeks later and we couldn’t be happier with both the product and installation. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Galleria again!

I had two other quotes for shutters, but Galleria had the best price. After I read the good reviews about them here, I decided to go with them.
Mike installed the shutters himself and did a great job. If I will ever decide to get more shutters, I will definitely go back to Galleria.

I had an estimate done for shutters at my home ⁹⁄₀₈ by Mike Baker. He came on time, was very professional as he patiently explained the different features and options. I got a reasonable quote.
I had 2 other companies come to my home, one of them from Costco and it was about $ 1K more than Mike’s quote.
I finally decided to have it installed and contacted Galleria beginning of March. They still had my estimate, said prices hadn’t changed, and could put in an order with a $ 1K deposit. 2 weeks later, I get a call from Mike informing me the shutters are in and we set up a time for him to install the shutters.
Mike and his son, Jordan came and 3 hours later all 5 windows were installed. They look terrific and the job was professional. Mike made sure to tell us when he’d use a tool that would make a lot of noise — so as not to wake up our baby.
I would highly recommend Galleria.
