CrackedMacScreen – iPhone, iPad, & Mac Screen Repair

This place is awesome. I dropped my Macbook Pro and ruined the screen. They happened to have the display I needed in stock. Dropped it off at 11:30am and picked it up at 2:30 pm THE SAME DAY. I’m out $ 480, but that’s my fault, not their’s.

I wish i could give them more stars! Here’s my experience…
I have a Macbook Pro retina display. My son somehow got his hands on it and it dropped. I had issues with the LCD. There were thick black bars on the right and bottom. I thought this was going to be a lost cause. The apple store warranty obviously does not cover this. They estimated the fix to be 10x more than what crackedmacscreen charges and the apple store had NO ESTIMATED DATE of when it will be fixed!
Found these guys online. & honestly i was a little skeptical. I only found one review of a client from out of state with a macbook pro issue as well (with a great review btw). But after reading GREAT reviews page after page i became a little more convinced that these people knew what they were doing.
I called the store and spoke to Colin he was very helpful with all my questions and promised that Trevor (whom i’ve been in contact with through email) will follow up with me, which he did.
I sent my laptop over to them on Thurs. they received it on Friday and because of the weekend and a mix up during the holiday on Monday they were unable to fix it till Tuesday I received my laptop on Wednesday. Overnight shipment.
So if this was done during a regular week and earlier in the week you can imagine how fast you would receive your item back.

Service was fine, cost was high. Got my iPhone5 screen fixed which cost $ 115 with tax. Service took an hour but I had work so picked up next day. Phone screen is fine, clearly reliable people/​service which is most important but ultimately they were somewhat short with me and almost awkward. I’ve had my screen fixed with great service in NYC for $ 75, so with that plus awkward interaction, tough to give these guys anything other than 3 stars.

After a few too many drops, the screen on my iPhone 5s stopped working. The Apple store said I needed a new display for $ 130… but wouldn’t do the repair because my phone had «water damage» (i.e. took a swim in the toilet a year ago). I walked into CrackedMacScreen on my way to work with no appointment. The guy working was super nice and said the water damage shouldn’t be a problem and could have it fixed in an hour! I came back at lunchtime the same day to a fully functional phone. And so far it seems to be working good as new. I ended up paying $ 120, a little high, but an OK price for good quality work, a convenient location, and fast turnaround.

In and out in under an hour. Very happy.

These guys are the real deal. Fast, efficient, and top-​notch work (plus really helpful and easy to work with). Worth every penny. I dropped off in person, but would happily ship to them as well. As others have noted, cheaper than insurance deductible, fast and easy.

Tips: they’re on the 3^rd floor and a street parking across the street.

Worth every penny! I dropped my phone this morning and the screen shattered. I called right at 8:00am to confirm they had iPhone 6 screens. I dropped my phone off at 9:15am and picked it up at 10:30am. It looks brand new! I met Colin and he was super nice and luckily this location was convenient for my work and home. It’s not cheap but it’s really worth it for quick service and good work. I would definitely recommend this place.

Needed a battery replacement on an iPhone. I made an appointment online, my phone was outfitted with a new battery in less than fifteen minutes. Phone is working great with a six month warranty.
Trevor was nice, efficient and the place was easy to find. Used on street parking around the corner with no problems. I would recommend them highly. Great job and great customer service.

Like everyone says, this is the place to go. With all due respect, you’d be foolish to go to a mall kiosk. I’ve heard a zillion bad stories about those places.
I am docking a star only because the repair was not finished at the promised time, despite my scheduling way in advance (NOT a walk-​in). I didn’t appreciate showing up and then having to kill an hour, which messed up my schedule for the rest of the day.
I wish I had called to confirm that the phone was ready before wasting an hour in Dupont Circle. To make matters worse, I got a $ 20 parking ticket because I didn’t go and add more money to the meter. But that’s on me, no doubt.

They just awesome! On Thursday we had an iPhone 4 front glass panel cracked down so late in the evening we made an appointment for the next day with these guys. They confirmed it within 15 minutes and next day, even though we were late for 20 minutes, they took our iPhone and fixed it within an hour. Now it looks like a new one and works without any issues!

Fast, professional, and easy to schedule. Free WiFi in their lobby if you need it.
They have a tool that expands the dented corners of an iPhone (or iPad, as I understand it) back into their intended shape. I’m not sure whether other, unnamed repair shops have said tool, but it’s good. The replacement screen fits flush into the iPhone’s body as a result of this tool.

Fast, friendly, and less than expected! My phone plan deductible would’ve cost me more. I dropped the phone and had cracks across the screen. Fixed in three hours with costs less than expected and certainly alot less hassle than had I used my Sprint equipment insurance plan (the hassle being the reason I turned to Cracked Mac Screen in the first place).
To boot, I like the glass better than the original. Images appear a bit crisper, glass is beveled and looks good too.
A great service at a good price that is fast and efficient. If Metro could only operate like that…

Had the unfortunate circumstance of having a mall kiosk repair shop try to repair my cracked iPhone 5s and do a terrible job leaving me with a defective screen and out $ 75. I hate you Cellairis!
Anyways checked out the wonderful ratings for CrackedMacScreen on Unilocal,made a 2PM appointment through their online reservations, dropped the phone off, grabbed two drinks at a nearby bar, and my iPhone was up and running like new by 3PM! The reviews speak for themselves.
These guys provide quality, efficient, and friendly service that they even back with their own 6 month warranty!

I can’t say enough good things about these guys. I cracked my screen, searched Unilocal and came up with them. I scheduled a drop off time for the next morning, and they had it done in hours. I would have written a review then.
But wait, there’s more. Within 24 hours of the repair, I dropped my phone again. Yes. Cause I’m smrt. And on a Saturday. So I called them and they were awesome and I brought it back in to them and they fixed it within an hour.
Then they were even more awesome by throwing in a case and screen cover for me. Thank you!!!
If you are ever in the unfortunate situation to have a cracked screen, run, don’t walk, to these guys. You won’t regret it.
(PS to the guy who commented about parking, I metrod the first time but drove the next on a Saturday and was able to find close meter street parking in the middle of the day in DuPont circle)

Fantastic place… I came here… to Unilocal to determine the best place to get my cracked iPhone 5 screen repaired… saw this location had five stars and gave it a try… Called the number listed and the voice mail instructed me to go directly to the website… I was able to schedule a same day appointment. I received a email to confirm the appointment as well as a text message… The text alerted me that an email was sent and needed a confirmation. This never happens to me but I actually had a little extra time today and ended up at the location early… Way early… Almost an hour early… I went in… Rang the bell and let them know that I had a appointment in about an hour and the gentleman said I could leave the phone then and he would have it ready within an hour and 15 minutes… Fantastic news because again… I was earlier than scheduled.
Paid the amount listed on the wall plus tax… Great customer service! Phone looks new again… No more glass cuts!
Thank you again… I hope I don’t have to come back but will recommend this location to others!

The other reviewers were right about this place. These guys are good.
Hopefully you never have to use this service, but if you do, you’re in good hands here. They are quick, professional, friendly, and good at what they do… which is exactly what you want when you’ve got a broken phone or device to deal with.

Wow — these guys really turned a bummer situation into an «eh, no big deal» event for me. Long story short: dropped (propelled) iphone 6 while running — cracked the screen — flipped out, and then found these guys on Unilocal.I work in the area so I emailed them, got a response crazy fast with upfront pricing, clear directions, and a super convenient appointment time. A few hours later, I had my flawless phone as if nothing ever happened. Money well spent. No headaches, no hidden fees, no waiting… I wish every everything worked this way.
Plus they’re friendly (and from Michigan!) and the «Walken’s welcome» sign at the front is cute. Win win win. Pricey? I guess, but it def beats having to drop $ 600 on a new phone or whatever it costs to replace one without an upgrade.
These guys have got it down and they do excellent work. I’m still amazed at how stress-​free the whole thing was. Hopefully you never need to repair your phone, but if you do — this is where to go.

This is how it should work.
They do one thing — fix broken screens for Apple devices.
They do it well.
They do it relatively fast.
They aren’t the cheapest place, but they tell you up front what it will cost: «This amount, plus tax.»
Their communication is great. From the initial email, to the service request form, to keeping you up to date as to the progress of the repair, you always know what’s happening with your gear. I was smart enough to shatter the screen of a Retina MacBook Pro 15, so I got the most expensive service they offer — don’t practice your curveball grips on a real baseball while your MBP is open a few feet away. Trust me.
Even their office screams professionalism, a little 3^rd floor room next to DuPont circle, bright, open, airy, uncluttered. These guys clearly set out with a business plan and are executing it with precision.
The only issue — and this isn’t their fault — is that it’s basically impossible to get a car to to this location, without a heavy-​lift helicopter. So take the Metro, it’s only a few feet away.
I sincerely hope I *never* need this kind of repair again. But if I do, I know where to go…
