At Three Fifty Bakery & Coffee Bar, we bake with love — daily — and at the perfect baking temperature of 350 degrees, which allows us to deliver a world-​class experience each and every time you are ready to indulge into a satisfyingly-​flavorful variety of specialty pastries and desserts.

Three Fifty Bakery & Coffee Bar offers baked-​goods that’s prepared fresh daily in-​house. We also masterfully customize baked-​goods, served to your specifications perfectly, with our attention and focus on complete customer satisfaction. Some of our desserts include: brownies, cookies, sweet breads, muffins, quiches, and croissants. Everything is baked daily and in-​house.

History

Established in 2014.

Although we officially opened the Bakery in August of 2014, this has been a dream and passion of ours for many years. After a search throughout various neighborhoods in DC, we finally found the perfect location in Dupont Circle/​Adams Morgan in the Fall of 2012. The build-​out was a long process but we wanted to take the time to truly capture the vision of our Bakery by providing a warm, welcoming, and family friendly environment.

After years working in finance, Michael always wanted to open his own business. His partner is a baker, so they decided to open a bakery in 2014. Michael takes pride in the quality of the products Three Fifty sells, as well as the great customer service. He hopes you have such a wonderful experience that you’ll keep coming back!

Love this place! Excellent spot to spend a warm afternoon sitting on the patio sipping on a cup of coffee and nibbling the most delicious salted caramel brownie I’ve had in DC. Free wifi is always a plus and its tucked on a cute side street so it doesn’t feel too busy.

Very disappointed in our experience here. We came because the reviews were so high and because it was slated as animal friendly. We were greeted at the front door with a message that said that dogs were not allowed inside the front outside seating area so strike one on the «animal friendly» front. UPDATE: was informed by the owner (great Customer Support :)) that this was a decision forced on them by the Health Department.
Anyway we go inside only to discover they serve Lilly coffee. Sorry you coffee aficionado’s but Lilly coffee cannot be considered great coffee. It is weak and lacks flavor and you would do as well buying yourself some Folgers instant coffee and making it at home. The only redeeming feature was the pastries were pretty delicious so for the bakery big thumbs up for the coffee a thumbs down.

Considering how popular coffee shops have become in DC, we need to keep them coming because every good coffee shop is always full and Three Fifty Bakery is no exception. It’s at 17th and U Street in the basement of a building. The inside is small, but they try to maximize the space with seating. There’s three four-​person bar seating options with outlets to plug into and two individual two seat tables. If the weather is good, they’ll put out 8 – 10 two person tables outside.
This bakery is known for a wide spread of fresh baked goods and they don’t disappoint. Whether it’s a pumpkin cream muffin to a chocolate croissant to a cranberry scone, they bake it all the morning of and all is tasty. Grab a latte (so good!) to compliment their pastries.

Three Fifty Bakery and Coffee Bar is a small little café located off of 17th Street. They offer daily-​baked brownies, cookies, sweet breads, scones, muffins, croissants, and even muffins, and some hot/​cold beverages. A dear friend and I came here after having lunch nearby — I tried one of their mini Bacon, Egg, & Cheddar quiche (this was pretty eggy and a bit salty); a Maple Glazed Scone (filled with some raisins, this was a bit more dryer); and, the Bacon, Cheddar, & Chives Scone (this was my absolute favorite! Not the typical dried out scones, this was moist, had tons of bacon bits throughout, and a great cheesy taste — yum!!!). My friend had a Café Latte, a chocolate chip cookie (that was warmed up and all gooey), and some Capital Candy items that were purchased (like the lollipops and the dipped mint chocolate). Staff were super friendly and funny, and there’s limited seating within (about 9 seats at the counter and about 2 tables). There’s free wi-​fi, so there were a couple of patrons squatting and doing some work. Some limited parking can be found off of Florida.

This is a quaint little coffee shop with pretty good coffee and rather scrumptious quiches and other baked goods. However, this place gets four stars in my book because it is good and not great. I’m not writing home about anything other than how ridiculous the pricing is. Seriously… 5.50 for a quiche the size of a deck of playing cards? A bit crazy…
I mean I had a quality Mocha for about 4 dollars, in something the size of a tea cup.
Granted it is in a clutch neighborhood.

Needing a quick bite before taking in some sites, hubby and I strolled to this little neighborhood shop. Drizzling and windy, the patio wasn’t set up. We stepped inside to a small, cozy & quiet place. Perfect!
Stepped up and ordered a cappuccino, coffee and zucchini apple bread.
Cappuccino? Good (can get in a ceramic cup if staying. Yay!)
Coffee? Very good
Zucchini Apple Bread? Excellent
There were other delectable items, but we had brunch scheduled for later.
Service was friendly.
There’s only a few tables, but we were able to get one.
Cute place and a great way to start a Saturday morning.

Everything here is delicious. You can’t really go wrong. A little pricey, but DC coffee is for some reason. Why not try their quiches? Take a bite out of their banana bread, cookies, or cakes?
I usually go for iced coffee. The babes behind the counter know how to make allllll kinds of drinks though.

Three Fifty Bakery is pretty darn adorable. I met Kelsey F here for a before-​work coffee and breakfast. Please be warned that the interior is small. I’d recommend checking this place out on a good-​weather day, so that you can take advantage of its large outdoor patio in front.
Coffee was good. (Though, to be honest, I basically think any and all coffee is good). What stole the show was definitely the quiche. Kelsey F got some quiche too, and our tummies couldn’t have been happier. Their quiches are small but fill you up and make sure you’re not hungry again until late lunchtime rolls around.
The staff were very helpful in making ordering decisions and just generally very friendly. I think it’s a great breakfast spot. I’m not sure how it would be for lunch or dinner (in fact, I’m not even sure if it’s open for lunch or dinner), but you can be sure that you’ll leave this place feeling peaceful and relaxed.

Ricotta muffin was like nothing I’ve had before, and I don’t do muffins much. The latte was good but I was wishing for a mug. Don’t think I was asked whether I would be staying. I’m a sucker for a cute café décor and I loved the clean schoolhouse look. Plan to try the quiche in the next few days.
Update: didn’t get to try the quiche but my friend loved hers and I liked the non-​vegan zucchini blueberry bread almost as much as the ricotta muffin. I worried about the caloric sin I was committing because it was so rich and tasty. Would have gone one more day while at my meeting if the shop had been open earlier on Saturday.

The name says it all: BAKERY and Coffee bar, and it’s true, they bake their own goods. In fact, the baker gets in at 4:45 so you can have fresh baked goods for breakfast! I got there at 7am just as they were opening and my excellent mozzarella, tomato, and oregano breakfast quiche was still warm from the oven. The very good espresso beverages are made with Illy coffee.
The atmosphere is both cozy and inviting. The location is part of it’s charm: a basement on a non-​commercial side street just off of U Street. The kitchen is lined with white subway tiles and an old oven serves as a location for sweeteners, coffee sleeves, and other odds and ends. There’s not much indoor seating aside from four seats at the window counter, but they do have patio seating out front for nice weather.

Made a point to stop in here before I moved out of DC, heard wonderful things about this place, and I was not disappointed. The bakery makes beautiful use of an English basement; well kept white walls, exposed brick and dark wood beams with stark black chalkboards dotted about. The furnishings are industrial chic, using an old timey refurbished oven as a cream station. All in all, very inviting.
We got three things: blueberry zucchini bread, ricotta muffin and illy cold press coffee. The Illy was well done, no excess bitterness to speak of. The ricotta muffin was unexpected. When biting in, you are met with the taste of anise seed. While I found myself not so prepared, after
Figuring it out I enjoyed it nonetheless. The zucchini bread was by far the best. Soft, fresh and complimentary; by far the star of the show. Other potential runners up that I didn’t get but would have: sweet and salty caramel brownie and savory mini quiches.
Criticisms: if you need reliable wifi for longer work periods, you’d best bring a hotspot. There are numerous networks, and in the process of writing this it disconnected three times. Only other thing, maybe decorate the chalkboards a bit. We came in late so maybe they had been cleaned, but a little more chalky color would liven the place up a lot!
Outside of all that this is a VERY nice social venue. It’s not so much of a working café, but for those looking to get a much needed breath of fresh air, this is the place.

Sweet cute shop off the main U Street Corridor with a friendly and helpful staff; it is also a well run set of staff, too, without the feel of them rushing you.
The nondairy espresso beverages can be made with 8th Continent original soy milk or Blue Diamond Almond Breeze original almond milk for an additional cost.
The trend in DC coffee houses is split between having one size option and multiple, so I have to say I appreciate having multiple size options like Three Fifty has here. As a coffee and espresso fanatic, I always have to avoid the largest drink sizes, but figured I should go big or go home here at this adorable neighborhood style coffee shop.
The seating is likewise as adorable, and the draw during the nicer weather will certainly be the patio seating. I feel that the biggest advantage this place has over other coffee shops is that it is not a coffee shop– it is a small bakery with good coffee. The coffee is not local, but it’s illy.
The baked goods have character and a freshness that make this bakery coffee shop a winner. They have cookies, quiches, brownies, quick breads and cakes– the staff refer to them as pastries… with which I will respectfully disagree… Pastries are art forms above cookies, quick breads, cakes and brownies. Never the mind though, as they do have their fair share of pastries, most notably the croissant. This place delivers as a bakery for the traditional consumer of bakery items looking for a quaint place to sit and nibble, and maybe have a good beverage to compliment the baked good.
For the gluten free and vegan, there should be one item of each variety. That way, when with friends and family, you will not feel left out. The other non-​coffee choices include bottled juices, water and even coconut water.

What I got from it: This is such a hide-​away gem! It’s not on the corner of 17th/​U St, so it definitely is kinda like a secret for locals, and yet is still busy enough!
I have enjoyed plenty of breaks out on the patio, chilling with a book, or working on the computer. I have seen this place be super busy during the late mornings and afternoons (especially weekends), and I have enjoyed the quiet comfort of Three Fifty on an early Friday Morning.
Three Fifty doesn’t offer anything extraordinary in terms of coffee beans (Illy), but they do take consideration of Vegans and therefore offer treats that respect Vegans and Non-​vegans alike.

I love this sweet, hidden gem that just opened (yesterday!) for so many reasons: it’s in a lovely, tucked-​away setting with outdoor seating; the inside has a modern but cozy, Tudor-​ish vibe; the baked goods and café au lait (Illy coffee used) were very good (try the savory cheese/​bacon/​chives and the delicious bread pudding); and Michael and Jimmy were warm and welcoming.
This is a place that’s worth seeking out, for a true Washington neighborhood vibe. It’s off the well-​beaten tourist path — which is the point. And so nice to have a choice other than Starbucks. I know I will give this wonderful little bakery & coffee house 5 stars soon. When food and coffee are made with love like this «they will come.»
