Amanda Gibbons Brows

I love coming here to get my brows done! The office is cute, clean and conveniently located in Salon Republic. I also love that you can book online which is perfect for my busy schedule.

Amanda is AMAZING! She is a brow miracle worker. She and Megan are super sweet and I’ve known their work for a long time. Amanda is really gentle– I have super sensitive skin but somehow my face is rarely red after she is done, and you can’t even tell I just had wax on it. My brows always look like perfection, thick, arched and gorgeous. She really pays attention to detail and wants you to have amazing brows!

After reading the reviews I was so excited to go to Amanda to try and save my eyebrows and she exceeded expectations! I was so happy when I left, I will definitely be back asap :) thanks Amanda!

Recommended by a co-​worker, couldn’t be happier. Super sweet, efficient, asked the right questions about my brows and then got to work. Loved that she didn’t just do wax, but took her time to tweeze my bushy brows. Was stoked when I looked at the finished product and felt like I got a facelift! She even offered to highlight and define the brows with makeup. Will be back!
And can’t beat parking validation in the middle of Hollywood!

I love going to Amanda for my brows and my brows have never looked better! I appreciate that she shapes my eyebrows in a natural, flattering way that fits me and my short hair perfectly. In addition to waxing, I get my brows tinted. I’ve had thinning brows for awhile and tinting makes them look healthy and full. I’ve gotten so many compliments about my eyebrows since I started coming here! Amanda is a rad person and you will not only but getting great brows but also supporting a women-​run business.

Shaping brows is an artistry and Amanda absolutely excels in her craft! Hands down the best in LA. She has never failed in getting my brows to a desired shape to perfectly compliment my face!

Not only does she do a fabulous job shaping and cleaning up eyebrows, but she is so sweet and professional that it’s always a pleasure to see her. Can’t recommend her enough if you’re ready to splurge on your brow babies.

I barely write reviews, but I feel this is necessary. I came to Amanda because of all of the amazing Unilocal reviews, however I found myself less than impressed. I came out of the salon looking like there were caterpillars sitting on my eyes. Eyebrows are very important to me because they can really change the look of one’s face, so I was already hesitant on finding a good place to go to. I get my eyebrows waxed to clean them up, but somehow they looked even hairier than when I walked in. This was definitely not the place for me, and I was very disappointed with the result.

I went to Ananda yesterday and I must say hands down BEST experience I’ve ever had!!! She was so freaking nice and made me feel totally comfortable. Parking is surprisingly really easy considering its on sunset! The have a parking garage (that can be validated) and also street parking was very easy for me! I’ve had my eyebrows done my whole life and they have never looked this good! Totally worth the money. She brushed my eyebrow hairs up and made them look super clean! I will add a photo very soon! DEFINITELY GO TO HER!!!

My first official Unilocal review goes to Amanda Gibbons. Found her thanks to the other Unilocal reviews, and I’m thankful I did. I’ve been to a few eyebrow shaping salons here in LA, and I felt their work was subpar. Amanda, on the other hand, is AWESOME. She’s extremely talented, really took her time to give my eyebrows a great shape, and was fun to talk to. I was done in about 20mins, plus she saw me early. Convenient parking, easy to find suite in the salon. Bottom line: I won’t trust my brows to anyone else.

Both Amanda and her sister Megan (the Gibbons girls, as I like to call them) are absolutely amazing at what they do! I work down the hall from their studio at Salon Republic and I go to them both when either one can squeeze me in. I am constantly impressed with their attention to detail, their passion for their craft, and for the warm reception I always receive in their studio. I will never ever go back to shaping my brows on my own again because I really do look so much better since I decided to leave it to these professionals. I get compliments on my brows now constantly (which NEVER happened before) and I refer all of my clients here. You cannot go wrong with the Gibbons girls!

I have actually had people tell me that I was pretty except for my eyebrows. It wasn’t a trait that ran in my family unfortunately. Great hair, pretty good skin, nice eyes… I can check those boxes :) My brows just never seem to grow.
Soooooooo, in my last ditch attempt I purchased Revitabrow. I used it for three months… consistently. Probably the most consistent thingI’ve ever done anything in my life.
Aaaaand… it helped some but I still had problem brows :(Crazy course grey hairs … Gaps from a childhood scar… Bushy in some places … Thin at the ends.
In came Amanda !! She put the beat down on my brows. Dyed them the perfect shade. Not too dark. Waxed them … No pain!!! Minimal redness.
I have never said I love my brows. But I do !! Love love love them !!!
